"Sweet Dog Daze" This should be "sweet" vs "suite" because the people that run this facility are so warm and kind to owners and their dogs. After looking at another facility that felt more like a dog pound, I took my chances on this place in hopes of finding a smaller, more intimate non-pound like boarding place for our dog, who we rescued from a pound 4 years ago. The owners and other people who manage here obviously love what they do. The dogs have scheduled meals, long 45 minute walks around the property that sits on several acres, play time with other dogs in a covered and clean area and a nice cozy warm room for sleeping/napping in their own kennel suites. I also loved how you could watch your dog play on doggy cam video they had set up for you to log onto from your computer. They also groomed our pup for a reasonable amount. What we also loved was how they were in close communication with us on how of furry family member was doing. I was looking for a facility to board my dog for vacation and into the future, and was so excited when I found this business. After speaking with the owner, and receiving a specific quote over the phone, I decided to go forth and board my dog for 8 days. When I arrived to drop him off, no one in the staff knew that we were coming in that day, and were not updated on the price that was offered to me over the phone. After leaving the facility and checking my accounts the next day, I learned that I had been over charged for everything. I made several attempts to call, with no response from anyone. When picking up my dog after my vacation, the employees were 15 minutes late to open the facility. My dog had bite marks all over his face, with one large gash which was an open wound and was extremely swollen. Additionally he had what I later found out was kennel cough, which I understand is common if there are many dogs, but the employees said nothing about these conditions. I called the next day in hopes to get some answers, and was told that I would receive a call back from the owner. It wasn't until Wednesday the next week that I received a phone call, and everything that I asked for answers on had an excuse and there was no solution other than that I would not recommend this facility for boarding and sadly I won't be returning. read more

Our dog goes to Suite Dog Daze a lot and is treated as a family member by the Suite Dog Daze staff and owner. He is so excited to be there and goes galloping in! I feel like he is in the best of hands as the staff and owner make sure he is well cared for. He is never caged for "bad behavior" rather they separate dogs into smaller groups and keep watchful eyes and give positive praise. Such a good thing for excitable dogs! It takes a very special kind of a person to work at Suite Dog Daze! Much like taking care of school children. I highly recommend Suite Dog Daze and when you schedule a bath for your beloved pet, they do a first rate job! Time and attention is the key to good grooming, not just a splash and dash. read more

I just took my 12-year-old Westie to their new location on front Street in Keizer. I have been grooming my dog for all 12 years of his life about every six weeks and have NECER paid more than $45, these people charged me $85 to groom my dog. They told me when I dropped him off the minimum would be 45 the max 85....for a dog who hadn't been groomed in a long time. I will never ever ever take my dog back to this place. The kennel I loved & used for 7 yrs closed due to the owner retired. i now had to look for a new kennel. I wanted to find one that was clean and had air condition because i have an english bulldog that needs to stay cool and I also did not want him to get sick, therefore needed a clean facility. Before bringing my dog to the kennel, I brought my dog to our vet for an examine and shots 3 weeks prior. The vet said everything was fine. He is healthy and even had a healthy looking stool when he pooped on the floor at the vet office. I found suite dog daze groupon and I went out there prior to me bringing my dog there. The owner Lisa was nice and the place seemed clean. I let the owner know that my dog isn't use to being around other dogs and I would like him to be by himself. She said that would be fine, but she did not inform me that there would be any extra charge to have him by himself. I scheduled my dog for 9 days. The morning that I brought my dog to this facility was the same day I was leaving for my vacation. I again let Lisa know that I don't want my dog with other dogs because he has not been socialized around other dogs. She then said that would cost an additional $10 on top of the $35 per day, therefore $45 per day. I was really stressed because I thought $45 per day was too expensive and really couldn't afford it. She then said that they could put him on a buddy system to introduce him slowly to other dogs. I agreed but stated if he doesn't do well with the other dogs then keep him alone and i will have to pay the $45 per day. I picked up my dog and one of the workers said they had his collar off because they noticed the black from the collar was rubbing off on his fur. I thought that was odd since I have that same collar on all the time and the black from the leather never rubbed off on his fur in the past. When I got home I saw abrasions under my dogs neck. I called the facility and spoke with Kate and she said she wasn't aware of any abrasions and stated that the other staff were not aware either. The next day my dog had diarrhea with blood and called the facility spoke with Carissa she stated she was not aware and I asked her to ask the owner if she was aware. She stated Lisa was busy so I told her I'd call back. When I spoke with Lisa she stated she wasn't aware of my dog having diarrhea with blood. I told her I would try feeding him science diet wd dog food for a few days (suppose to help with diarrhea) and see if my dog gets any better. If he didn't get better I will bring him to our vet. The food helped with the stool somewhat but still blood. I took my dog to our vet and the vet said the abrasions looked like they came from my dog getting wet around his neck and without it being wiped dry, the collar irritated his skin causing abrasions. The vet ran a test on my dogs stool and my dog got "giardia" from the kennel since he did not have "giardia" prior to me taking him to this facility. The diarrhea with the blood is from the "giardia". I looked up "giardia" on line and it stated it is most likely contracted to dogs from drinking contaminated water with feces in it like: lakes, ponds, streams or any water contaminated with feces. I cannot afford to have my dog come to this facility. I cannot risk my dog getting sick like this. My dog having to suffer and the extra vet bill. I also don't like the fact that I was not told up front when i originally told them i wanted to keep my dog by himself that there would be an additional $10 charge. I am very disappointed in this place. I was hoping to find a wonderful kennel like i had in the past. I never had these issues with my old kennel. read more

I highly recommend suite dog daze for daycare! My dog gets anxiety being by herself places, but she LOVES going here! The staff are amazing and the prices are reasonable. I love that I can watch her on the webcam, and all the staff are so helpful and fill me in on her day. We toured different facilities and looked all over salem, and I'm very happy this is where we ended up! read more

I am at a loss for words and utterly heartbroken! My husband and I were in a time crunch and needed daycare at the last minute, so I made reservations for all day care for one week. On the 4th day, upon picking up my fur babies, the staff informed me that my dog had a scab on his back but that "there had been no incidences" that day (which was a bold faced lie!). The only time my dog was out of my sight was while he was at Suite Dog Daze, so I know for a fact that he was injured there. I refused to take my dogs back on the fifth day, so I made other arrangements. A few days later I noticed some swelling around one (of the three) DOG BITES (confirmed by our vet). My dog now has a drain and two open wounds that need to heal thanks to this awful establishment. I now have to make arrangements to take my dog to the vet daily for the next few days so they can monitor his progress and make sure his wounds do not get infected AGAIN. Had the incident been brought to my attention in the first place, I could have taken care of my baby sooner and not gone through all this agony. If you care about your pets at all, you will NEVER take them to Suite Dog Daze. We will be going out of our way to Tualatin for all future care for our pets. read more

I know there are a lot of bogus "more accurate" reviews, (most likely posted by other doggie daycare businesses in the Salem area) but I have NEVER experienced something like that in the 2-3 years that my dog has been going there. I have been bringing my dog to Lisa and to Suite Dog Daze for a couple of years. When I first began bringing her to Suite Dog Daze, my husband and I were coming to the realization that our sweet baby girl may need to be euthanized. She had become so aggressive and untrustworthy around people and dogs that we no longer felt that she was safe to have around our children, or other dogs. We talked with several other training facilities in town, who all refused to even help us with her issues. Lisa met with us and our dog and agreed to help. At first, I was apprehensive and doubtful it could work. But wanted to save my baby, and Lisa reassured me that she believed she could help our dog. So we agreed to leave her at Suite Dog Daze for training. She not only helped my sweet baby girl, but has exceeded our expectations. Bella is not only good with my children, but is social and happy when guests arrive, doesn't try to attack anyone who walks through my front door, and can play with other dogs in their daycare program. Lisa told me our dog wasn't aggressive, but was actually scared. She helped us see how we were contributing to her fears and gave us things to work on at home to help build her confidence. I can now take my baby girl to the dog park, where before, I couldn't take her anywhere! My husband and I can't even remember who the old Bella was that we feared may not even be with us. Now we can't imagine our life without her. In fact, we are now considering adopting a companion for her from Suite Dog Daze. Thank you to Lisa and her wonderful staff for giving our family the sweet loving Bella we knew she could be. We also use the boarding and daycare services. I wouldn't trust my pet with anyone else! read more
