A small, intimate cocktail bar with a killer karaoke show and pool tables. They have a huge selection of music to sing. Even a couple of obscure tunes that only I would drudge up. Having a small party? This will do nicely. As far as food goes, I only noticed a couple of meager finger items. Hot Dog, Chicken tenders, nachos, etc. The drinks come quickly during the week; slower on a Friday night (probably on Saturday as well). I never waited more than ten minutes on a drink. Totally acceptable in my world. Everyone is so friendly. They welcome you in like extended family. If you need help with your song, folks are more than happy to oblige. It's a feel good energy bar that we all met at post wedding and partied into the night. Bartender Shannon was exceptional and kept the drinks flowing and Chelsea was on karaoke keeping our vibe movin n groovin'! Got a touch of chill Audra (spelling eek) but all around good vibes to let loose. Feel I must offer a shout out to owner? Manager? Attended a funeral reception on Friday (I know, strange place but it worked), the attention to detail as far as the food and drink went was stellar. Evident that they cared! Food was delicious, pleasantly presented and plentiful. They really tried to make it nice and they did. As for the bartender, different story, maybe she was overwhelmed as she was by herself, she wasn't pleasant. Overall kudos to this place for lightening the mood. Job well done. read more

When I think back about my younger years when life was woven around eat, sleep, work and partying, going to a dive bar was never even a consideration. My girlfriend and I went out night clubbing every weekend that included dressing up, dancing o' plenty, socializing, flirting with the DJ, some drinking, and most importantly.....finding Mr. Right! Ha! Ha! Ha! Goes to show you how cluelessly naïve we were back then. Even though it doesn't seem that long ago for us, it has! Now, life is coming full circle whether one likes it or not. After several years of losing touch with my friend and recently reuniting, I invited her out for dinner and whatever else we could think of doing afterwards for her birthday. Going out to a night club at our age was out of the question. We decided to visit a dive bar that happened to be in the area of where my friend lived. I looked up bars on Yelp and disappointingly found only a few nearby bars available. We tried out Louie's last time which was OK, but wanted to test the waters further. Since Sharon's Lounge had some pretty good ratings on average, we agreed to a new adventure in elderly entertainment. This place is far from being old folk's material, but I couldn't help but notice a lot of people our age and older enjoying themselves. I guess we fit in perfectly.... It was Karaoke night and that meant a lot of the locals were there drinking, singing and just having a good time. The dimly lit lounge is small and I could tell that the interior planning was not very feng shui. There was no place for us to sit near the bar, so we ended up in a much bigger and brighter room where one pool table is located. A wall divides the lounge and the pool table area. We could barely see the entertainment except for a TV that was placed to show some of the Karaoke singers. Some were good and some not so good. But customers were enjoying every minute of it. The people were friendly and would either smile at us or stop at our table to say hi. It seems that many are frequent patrons and have been coming here for years. While I couldn't drink because I was driving, my girlfriend said her cocktail was very good and reasonably priced. Well, that's about all I can relay about this bar. I didn't have the best time, but it wasn't bad either. If we decide to come here again, it might be better to arrive early for better seating and the possibility of some interest grabbing entertainment. Over the last year, I became a regular. Yep, Cort's crazy antics, Margie's talented voice, and the cast of regular characters that populate this establishment won me over. I have really enjoyed getting to know the regulars; they are what form the unique character of this bar, and they keep me coming back. Even though I live across the country, when I walk in the door, I am greeted like I was just there last weekend. It is a mixing pot where you will hear everything from broadway tunes to country to alternative, oldies, disco, soul, and rap on karaoke nights. Sharon's is a dive bar in Rancho Cordova on the corner of Vehicle Drive and Coloma. They have darts, one pool table and karaoke on Friday and Saturday nights at 9 pm. The kj, Joe does a great job and uses the Sound Choice program which is high quality karaoke. They don't serve food but don't mind if you bring some in. The drinks are cheap and the people are friendly. We had my husband's birthday party there last year and they set up tables for us to put food and gifts on. The bar has its usual group of regulars but everyone is welcome. I like diversity and Sharon's has a goid vibe. Black, white, Asian, gay, straight, young, old, physically challenged...it doesn't matter. As long as you're looking to have fun with a group of like-minded people, Sharon's is the place to go. 4 stars for the great karaoke and the cheap drinks. read more

This is the worst bar ever. Bar owner got really drunk and made a scene. He threw out an entire dart league because we were not clapping for some girl who was playing an acoustic guitar while we were playing matches. He was beyond rude and extremely vulgar. Save your money and go some where else. One star is too high a rating. I can only hope the dart league drops him from list of eligible places to play out of. read more

If you enjoy singing Karaoke, Suite 9 is the place for you. The KJ and the sound system were great, with an extensive song collection of popular genres and time periods to choose from. The best thing about Suite 9 were the other patrons, who were very friendly, encouraging and talented. Normally, I'm not comfortable singing in public, but everyone was so welcoming and appreciative that they made singing an absolute joy. The bartender was helpful and entertaining (he sang Karaoke, as well). The well drinks were less than $4, which was great (sorry, I'm not much of a drinker so I can't provide much info). read more

Ok, the place is 3 stars in the "big world" but it's a 4-star dive bar. Drinks are stiff and cheap, ladies behind the bar are always friendly and smiling, the kareoke is..well...kareoke. But at least some of the talent there is good which makes the bad ones pass by quicker. :) I haven't got much room to talk, I never stand up and sing. I go on a karaoke night. The music is so loud you can't hear the person next to you. I'm at the bar to order a drink, there were two bartenders one was just standing there, while the other was making a drink. She watched me standing there for 5 minutes. A couple walks up, she serves them. Finally the other barteneder gets to me, I asked for my drink on the rocks, he pours it in a shock glass and it is less than a shot. When he realized it was wrong, he added a couple cubes of ice to the shot glass, what the hell. If I could leave zero stars I would!!! I won't be back. The customer service is not good, and I work to hard to spend my money on a place with bad customer service and they don't know how to make drinks. read more

Are good people good drinks normal price drinks. Karaoke hosts are new except for saturday. Which is still Joe. All the new karaoke hosts are newly trained as of right after covid. Yes there is a little bit of lag time in between singers but most of the time I've noticed singers only give one song and if somebody else is already saying it they do not do repeats so that's something to know. But all in all a great bar and you will have fun on Friday nights for karaoke. If you want to sing more than one song go on a Friday not a Saturday when there's 40 people on the list times that by 4 minutes. Also add the lay time to in between singers yeah there's some delay but it gets pretty busy you guys need to understand the karaoke DJs there's only one person read more

This place is awful. None of the staff ARE friendly. They have karaoke there every weekend and that's even awful. They only play country music and no top 40 hits. This place is filled with older people. If you are over 40 and love country music this place is for you. If you love new school music and under 40 this not a place for you. read more

The bartenders are the rudest and laziest I've ever encountered!! OMG! Went first time on a Friday, YUCK!! Barely anyone there all night, bartenders attitude was as stinky as her cigarette breath when she was actually behind the bar instead of smoking. The karaoke singers were all old and off key, the few people that came in must have been Walmart rejects, and the prices were way too high for weak drinks! Decided to give it one more chance the following Saturday since I live really close by but, was even more disgusted by attitude, prices, slow service, and lack of remotely attractive crowd. What a fun place to be. We went there last night, a group of about 30, and Sharon and staff made all of us "newbies" feel like regulars. Even the regular patrons, of which there were many, were down to earth and so very friendly. It's small and comfy with a pool table in the corner. The kareoke folks were patient with us including when we'd set up the guys with songs like "Afternoon Delight", "Muskrat Love", and "I am Woman" to which they all refused to sing...sigh. There was another birthday party going on as well and the bar had set up a very nice spread in which they also allowed our group to share. We'll be going back there very soon for another good time. I almost hate to give it such a good review because I don't want the place to change or get so crowded that we can't get in but the staff did such an excellent job taking care of us they totally deserve more good words. Went here for the first time last weekend. I'm no singer but my wife and her friends love singing. They had a fantastic time. The people there were very friendly and would join in on the singing and didn't mind if others joined in with them. It feels a bit odd giving a dive bar five stars, but for a dive bar, this place is fantastic fun! As others have mentioned, karaoke nights are the best, even if you aren't brave enough to sing. The barstools are comfortable, and the drinks won't break your budget. It's the kind of joint where you just come as you are, no need to dress up, and you'll fit right in.
