I booked the suites at crescent bay resort for a four-day trip with friends. We were attending a nearby music festival at The Gorge and found the suites through a yelp and google search. Overall, from the reviews, the suites looked like a good place for us to stay considering it had everything we needed to stay comfortably - also including an outstanding gym that is open 24/7 for guests to use. My group took advantage of the pool and jacuzzi available as well. The area is near vacation rental homes and, the best part, the columbia river. The view is down right amazing and one that I could look at for hours. The one down side of things is that you NEED to make sure you prepare correctly and bring in ALL your food before you head here. If not, you'll have to drive at least half an hour to the next nearby town to grab groceries or food. There is a wine bar and restaurant that is next door to all the rooms, but it isn't open all the time, so don't count on that being your only source of food. Overall, if you prepare yourself well with food for your stay, this is a great place to stay at when heading out to this area for a vacation. read more

We spent a 3-day weekend at this resort with a group of friends and really enjoyed ourselves. My husband and I had a spacious one bedroom suite complete with a bathroom, washer/dryer, full kitchen (dinnerware, silverware, pots and pans), dining table, living room w/a TV and balcony w/a functioning grill. Everything you might need for an extended stay. We enjoyed our breakfasts on the balcony very much. The area within and around the resort was very clean and well-kept. The resort is situated right outside of a gated community, however, they both share a pool and hot tub, which we were able to enjoy during our stay. PROS: Justin, the office/property manager, was very nice/helpful and made sure we were enjoying our stay, the pool/hot tub area was open until 11pm, in room washer/dryer, small but tasty restaurant right next to the office, very short drive to the boat launch/marina, restaurant option and ice cream shop nearby, clean playground/tennis courts, walkable distance to the river. CONS: no kitchen/cooking basics like oil, salt, pepper, sugar, spices, etc., some dishes/utensils were not cleaned very well, broken igniter button on grill (we used a gas lighter found in the kitchen), kitchen supplies were not similar to other suites our friends were in, i.e. they had saran wrap/foil and we didn't, room rates can get pricey during peak/summer/concert season. TIPS: bring your own cooking necessities/food if you plan on eating in for some meals, esp cooking oil/butter, spices, etc. as no grocery stores are around, bring pool floaties/beach toys if you have kids, bring water (tap water tasted off to us), oh and a boat if you have one laying around. read more

I love this place! I have stayed here a couple times and the beds are always the most comfortable, I want to take them home! The rooms are spacious and have nice furniture. It's great to have a full kitchen and BBQ, makes it feel like you are at home. You can always find an open lounge chair at the pool. Thankfully the water in the river is back for boating. I have stayed here for concert weekends and it's really convenient to get the the gorge. I will for sure be visiting again! read more

My family has been staying at the Red Roof Condos at Crescent Bar for years, but we decided to try The Suites at Crescent Bay for a change of pace (and because it was new!). We are so glad we did! Even though it's a walk from the beach and activities, we really enjoyed our first stay here and even booked it again the following summer. The rooms are large and new. Comfortable bed and plenty of space for our two boys to run around. We love the amenities in the large kitchen, the washer and dryer in the unit and the nice grill on the back patio. There is an A/C unit in each room, which is awesome! We also like that there is tennis on-site and a play ground for the kids. Then there is the best part... the resort style pool! We visited the pool every day on both of our trips and we really like the fact that it is never crowded and you can find a grouping of lounge chairs or a table anytime you want. The kids liked playing with the ping pong table if they wanted to take a break from the pool. With so many amenities, affordable rates and a newer and nicer vacation spot, we are fans. I only gave it four out of five though because the tile floors were dirty the last two stays and we had to wear shoes or our feet would be filthy. I don't think they mop it thoroughly before you check in. We also had a load of dishes left in the dishwasher when we arrived so I had to put dishes away and empty a load of towels out of the dryer. Not something you want to do when you arrive at your vacation destination. Other than that, I highly recommend this property and look forward to our next relaxing family vacation here! read more

Appearances can be deceiving. On the surface this place seems great: newer construction, beautiful setting, well decorated rooms and nice gym/ pool areas. But the customer service is mediocre at best. I stayed here several times myself for work and know 30+ people from the industry who have also holed up here for short and long term stays. There is not one person that has had a great experience. Highlights below: - Front desk staff is only there during bankers hours, 9ish to 4ish if they feel like it - Online booking unavailable, must call to reserve (see first item) - To pay you have to hand them a physical credit card (see first item) - Unsophisticated electronic key system that doesn't work half the time and you get locked out (see first item) - Not always well cleaned: food left in fridge, clothing left in rooms, no toilet paper - Toilets in most rooms don't flush correctly, if at all - AC units are horribly loud, hard to sleep with it on - Walls are thin and noise from neighbors permeates easily I wish I could rate it more highly but the issues pile up after a while and the front desk is more prone to blaming the customers than they are to fixing the problem. It's more of a small time mom and pop place that doesn't know how to run a business, much less in the hospitality field. read more

This place is beautiful, clean and quiet. The shower is big, there is a tennis court and a pool, beautiful views of the cliffs nearby. The bed is large and comfortable, and the full kitchen makes preparing meals a snap. It's like having a little home away from home. Such a beautiful, tranquil and relaxing place to stay. The rave squad and I decided to stay here for our trip to The Gorge. This resort only has a couple of rooms available because most of the rest of the property has privately owned units. So definitely book early if you want a spot. We lucked out and got a beautiful 2 bedroom and 1 bathroom suite. For the 6 of us it was perfect because each couple had their own room and the homie and I were able to take advantage of the pull out couches in the spacious living room/dining room and kitchen. Though they don't offer maid service, they do provide everything you need to make your stay enjoyable such as kitchenware and a washer/dryer. I can definitely say that this spot feels like an Airbnb type of situation. We also really enjoyed the access to the pool area which has a pool, hot tub and ping pong table. The resort also has tennis courts and a playground. However, my favorite amenity was their gym. It has everything you need for a complete workout. I highly recommend you bring everything that you need, including food, because there isn't any type of store for at least a good 30 minutes away. Overall, if you're not into the camping thing at the Gorge, then definitely book a spot here before they're gone. read more

Stayed there for 3 nights. The 2 BR unit was very spacious, comfortable, well furnished and clean. We used it as our base to ski Mission Ridge (40 min away) and will book this again in the future. Best value for the money. The restaurant part of this resort offered wonderful food with a French chef at incredible prices. read more

I will admit I was a little skeptical at first when my wife told me she booked this location. I, like most, tend to check reviews and hear other customers experience. I'm not saying the other reviewers didn't experience what they wrote, but for us and our friends who also stayed...this was a FANTASTIC experience. The rooms were huge, clean and modern. We stayed in 207 which was great as it had windows on both sides allowing views of the small, kid friendly, playground. Both of the ladies at the office and coffee shop were pleasant and accommodating to us. The pool was very close and even though I prefer a little deeper ( 4.5 ft was the deepest) it was great for the kids. The cabana was wonderful too and allowed for some mean ping long games. We just stayed there recently and loved our time. The staff (Justin) was helpful and really friendly. It was the first time with my wife and two kids and we were surprised about how nice the resort is. The suites were big with a full kitchen and two full bedrooms. There was a pool that the kids loved spending time at and the boat launch was nearby. The premises had a full tennis court and basketball hoop as well. It looked like there were homeowners part of the Resort and they were all really nice and friendly. We also at the the Friends' Riviera which had better food than you would expect in a small town with the owner making 95% of the food from scratch. read more

First time here, and will be back if we ever go see a concert at the Gorge Amphitheater again. Our large one-bedroom suite with a pull-out sofa for a second bed was perfect for cooking, eating and hanging out. Plenty of dishes, linens, etc. Great pool and hot tub, easy walk to the river and 5 minutes down the road to a little store. Appreciate that the parking spots are numbered to match the suites. Honestly one of the worst places I have ever stayed. 1. Customer service there is non existent. I have never in my life been treated with such contempt. 2. Rooms appear at first to be decent. However, several pieces of furniture were damaged, other pieces were no longer functioning as furniture anymore. Including the toilet (not really furniture, but you get my point). The AC unit only worked half of the time, which was really fun. Everything just seemed like it was falling apart. 3. The place was filthy. The shower curtain was completely covered in mildew, lamp shade had some mystery stain (not even going to comment), the kitchen had food stains all over the place, and and the bathroom had hairballs stuck in every corner. The bed sheets seemed clean enough, however, I don't think the comforter has been washed since they furnished the place. On a side note, I do not blame this on the woman who cleans the rooms at all. I saw her work from morning till night one day, I just think she is overwhelmed. This seems to be solely a problem with management refusing to hire enough people for this job. 4. As others have already commented, the walls are paper thin. You can hear conversations from people above or below you depending on which room you are in. I could hear entire songs through the walls. 5. Did I mention the terrible customer service. If you do decide to stay here, don't bother contacting the front office for anything, that would be a huge mistake. If you do have any sort of problem you will not only be ridiculed, but singled out as the person who is causing problems. The bottom line is this, people spend good money to go on vacations and have a nice relaxing time. I don't feel like the first day of your vacation should be spent cleaning the room you are staying in. Or that the rest of your time should be spent arguing with the front office about why the toilet won't flush or the room key won't work when you get back at the end of the day. Personally I'm glad I had this experience, because from now on when I'm having a really bad day, I always tell myself, "Remember it could be worse, you could be back at Crescent Bay!" read more

I stayed here while in the area for business. The rooms are large, new, and reasonably priced. The main office isn't always staffed and house keeping doesn't seem to happen until after checkout. When I arrived to check in, I found a sticky note on the door that said my room keys are under the mat. Anyone could have just walked in. I also found it odd they wanted me to start a load of laundry (sheets, towels, etc..) before leaving on the last day. The location is beautiful and there are many things to do near by. Unfortunately, these things all close early so unless your here for vacation there wont be much to do. read more

This place is absolutely one of the best places I have stayed. Really I don't know why this place has gotten such bad reviews. This place gives you everything you need to be self sufficient. Make sure to bring your own coffee. If your one of those kind of people that call for room service or need someone to complain to this place isn't for you. They give you your privacy. If you are looking for a relaxing couple of nights with no expectations, need for amenities, customer service, or way to get to The Gorge, this is your place. The units themselves are lovely, and there is plenty of space to relax. That's it. If you need anything requiring another human being resembling customer service, DO NOT STAY HERE. The young lady working the entire weekend didn't know the name of the main road. Or where the nearest grocery store or restaurant was. Or how to get to The Gorge. Or why a number of us who had reservations on a shuttle to The Gorge has no reservations when we verified upon arrival. When multiple residents commented about a raging party in one of the rooms that could be heard across the facility until past 1am in the morning, her only comment was that she must have missed a good party. Every resident this past weekend was left to barter for a way to get to the arena - which is ironic since most of us stayed there only because of the shuttle. Some groups hopped into other locations' shuttles, some hired their own drivers at ridiculous costs. At $325/night with a 2 night minimum, you can do better. Save yourself the trouble. We asked the girl at the front desk for restaurant recommendations and she sent us to the best little bistro (I'll be leaving a yelp review there next). Not being told there was no cable and the swimming pool was closed PRIOR to making the 2.5 hour trip was bad. Worse the front desk person had a "wedding to attend" she left a note on the door and we watched quests call and then locate hidden room keys. I felt real safe after that. read more
