This is in response to the owner's comment in 2021 from my 2018 review. I can 100% guarantee that I stayed in a Select Rentals property. I posted my review from the property. The same day, an angry employee knocked on the door to confront me about the review. The listing advertised 4 bedrooms. 1 of the bedrooms was an open loft area and one was a hallway with bunkbeds (neither of which had air conditioning). Ugh. We stay in a lot of vacation rentals and this is by far, the WORST. I'll let the photos and captions speak for themselves but we paid a $814.40 for 2 nights in a condo that was in a severe state of disrepair and not very clean. I shared the photos with management along with my concerns and received no response. No apology, no attempt to make it right, nothing. We will NOT be back. read more

My friends and I rented a condo here for a weekend of concerts at the Gorge Amphitheater in late August/early Sept 2018. The condo had room for 8, but we only had 6 stay. The customer service was okay in the lead-up to the stay...not great, but not terrible. I paid $500 up front for the group, and was scheduled to be charged the remaining balance about 6 weeks before we arrived. They never charged my card as scheduled and eventually called me and asked me when I was going to pay my balance because it was overdue. The contract I signed months earlier stated they would automatically charge my card on file, so it was frustrating that they called me out as if I just decided on my own accord to not pay them. Upon arrival, I was asked to fill out a list of names staying at the condo, along with ages. This would be okay if I hadn't filled out the EXACT SAME FORM already in the contract. I told them the names and ages had not changed since I filled it out last, but they made me do it again anyway. We were given our bracelets (everyone must wear one during their stay) and two parking passes. I knew well in advance that we would have three cars and asked multiple times how we would handle that. I was told that we could purchase a third parking pass for the weekend for $10, which was our plan. Upon check-in, I was told that extra parking was sold out, and even if it wasn't, it was $25, not $10. We obviously could not get rid of a third car at this point - everyone was either in transit in said cars or had already arrived. Their suggestion was to call a business down the road (not walking distance) to pay to store our car there. It was $20/day to park! We were expecting $10, not $80. This was incredibly frustrating, especially because I'd taken the time to meticulously plan and had asked multiple questions in advance, only to be given a totally different answer with a snotty attitude upon arrival. The condo itself was just okay. It could definitely use some work inside - I would equate it to staying at a 2 or 2.5 star hotel but with a kitchen. We made the mistake of looking under our bed in the downtstairs bedroom and found tons of stuff that previous residents left behind - a bag of Lush soap, socks, water bottles, etc. So it's very clear that the cleaning staff doesn't do a thorough job of cleaning. The condo was very hot when we arrived and the A/C unit in the downstairs area does not cool the upstairs. One upstairs bedroom had a window unit. One had a table fan, and one had literally nothing and relied on A/C from the small window unit in an adjacent room. So the upstairs sleeping wasn't the most comfortable. We were expecting central A/C given that the listing said the whole condo was air conditioned. Our friends in a neighboring unit had a bug issue - the light fixture in the downstairs bedroom was filled with bugs. And back to the cleaning for a sec - you can purchase cleaning for $75 so you don't have to sweep, vacuum, etc. But even if you purchase cleaning, you're asked to not use all the towels (uh, what?), start a load of laundry (sheets and towels) on your way out, get all the dishes into the dishwasher, and take the trash out. I paid for cleaning...why is that our job? The best part about the condos is the scenery outside. They're located right in the river gorge and the landscape is absolutely stunning. There are boat and bike rental places nearby if you're into enjoying the outdoors. The condos are about 35 minutes from the Gorge Amphitheater, which is the other huge pro. The only way you can get closer is to camp, so if you're not interested in camping, you're either staying in this area or in hotels in Moses Lake, which is about 30 minutes from the Gorge, but the other direction. One other thing - we scheduled our flight out of Seattle at a time much later than I would have liked based on the fact that the rental contract stated we were required to have a walk through of the condo before we checked out. I anticipated there being a wait to get one of the staff to walk through since we'd all be leaving around the same time. I walked into the office to request the walk through and was told there isn't one and I just need to turn my keys in. (!!!) Not that I should have been surprised at that point given everything else they said that was wrong, but it was just another frustration with the customer service. Overall, we were very unhappy with the customer service. If you can stay here, only bring two cars, and deal with the office staff as minimally as possible, it's decent lodging for the Gorge for the price. But the second you have to deal with the rental staff, good luck. read more

We stayed here last month and had the worst experience ever. Shelly made our stay horrible. The man in the rental office was great though, but there was nothing he could do to help because Shelly is so bad. Someone needs to get rid of her, or people will stop coming to this place. We Stayed here over Labor Day Weekend, would not recommend this place to any one, Terrible Service, The lady that runs the place is extremely rude and unprofessional. We paid to store our boat in their locked yard. Two of the nights we had items stolen off our boat, and she did nothing to help and wouldnt offer any type of refund. AVOID THIS PLACE read more

Accommodations at Crescent Bar Condos are mediocre at best although some units may be better than others. You must wear a pink bracelet at all times so that full time residents wearing blue bracelets know who you are. If you do anything they don't like they will immediately notify you through their enforcer (Jodi). Jodi is actually nice and I feel sorry for her because it's the full time residents that are so unfriendly and unwelcoming. We will not be coming back. read more

Amazing place to stay! Brand new property management replaced the awful old management that has been there for the past 3 years. Which many ppl know by "Shelly", probably the rudest person ever. Also there is now a new cleaning staff! The view from the deck to the property is amazing and the air is so fresh and clean with blue skies! I have read a lot of people's comments complaining about the units not being to par which I don't really understand because when you call to book your unit you should look at it online. In fact the staff asks you if you have looked at it and if you haven't they will ask you to do so before you are asked for any further information. If you want to be tight ass and decide to book one of the cheapest condos they provide then don't be upset or surprised that it is not as nice as your buddies who paid a little more or not up to par. You get what you pay for! Just like if you go to McDonald's you can't expect the food to be as good as a 5 star restaurant! Overall enjoyed my stay and the staff is amazing and very helpful! The unit was definitely what I expected it to be because I looked at it online and could not of been more pleased! read more

Made a reservation here in January. Had to pay 50% up front... then Wanapum dam broke, the reason (most) people come here is for the water sports. I called in March to cancel our reservation for July after confirming there would be no boating this summer. DEBBIE PARK who we made our reservation kept 100.00 of our money! She "wanted" to keep 200.00! What? over 90 day notice and a dry river? That's not only poor business, that's ethically and morally wrong. DO NOT RENT anything from this woman! How does she sleep at night!? BTW there was NO contract signed. There is another woman by the name of IRIS who represents and handles rentals as well at the resort. IRIS is respectful, honest and trustworthy. They do not work together, rather 'competitors' ..CALL IRIS NOT DEBBIE PARK or anyone with last name PARK (her husband). I've stayed at these properties over 20 years almost annually. All are advertised very accurately and beautiful! My kids love being there. Very relaxing. Staff has been great and attends to every need. The crescent bar (white condos as they are called) are very nice and have a family environment. Also are gated in. Great for family reunions. Sunserra condos are more high end, secluded and private, and are a gated community for security also. Properties are well maintained. Amenities for activities outdoor are fantastic. Pools, tennis/basketball courts, and softball fields. Other water activities like water skiing/ boating are huge there! Have done all and had a blast with my family/kids over the years. Great restaurants on the island too! Sunserra grill/ Tower pizza my family/ kids favorites. You can't go wrong staying at any of these properties at different price points for different budgets. Either way, you'll have a relaxing, sun-filled vacation as it's in the 80s 300 days a year there. Also many do long-term rentals during the winter months also. I've stayed at Sunserra/Crescent bar condos over the years so many times that I would call myself a resident expert on these properties. All are fantastic, family-friendly and have scenic views of either the gorge or the Columbia River. I would suggest checking out their website for details on price/ locations/availability and speaking to their staff for additional details for specific needs. Everyone, please read before you stay here! My family and I go to Crescent Bar every year as a family tradition..My husband as a child always stayed here with his Dad and his brothers, due to his childhood traditions..After staying there this weekend, those traditions are now broken due to poor management by Shelly and the way she treats those who stay there. They open up these condos to the public, yet those who stay there are treated like we're prisoners and creates an extremely hostile environment ..These condos are run down just like management and i would steer clear from this place as it is nothing but dirty, rude employees and hostile from the minute you walk into there gate..don't waste your money on this place and spend the extra money to go somewhere nicer!! It's not worth it with the way they treat there "guests.." i see that other people have the same complaints yet they certainly don't seem to care..these guys will ruin your vacaction as they did ours..beware!! read more

I recently stayed here and it was the worst experience ever. Shelly who manages the property was EXTREMELY disrespectful & unprofessional. We booked 4 nights but only stayed 3. We had no complaints & she continued to harass us everyday of our trip, wouldn't leave us alone. She would tell us to shut our mouths and even cussed us out in front of families. She even asked my friend if he was dumb in the head because he asked for a parking pass. This place sucks, stay somewhere else. Waste of money. read more

Some of the worst customer service I have ever recieved. The woman who owns/operates is extremely shady and purposefully misquotes rental costs and doesn't disclose extra fees until after she charges your card. I called to complain about an extra $600 that showed up on our charge, and her response was extremely rude and disrespectful. Interupted me and accused me of lieing. She said she didn't want business with "my kind" which I'm not even sure what that means! And eventually revoked our lease agreement without even showing an ounce of care that she had overcharged us. Now were out $2000 until she credits back our account!!! Needless to say we found MUCH MUCH MUCH better service at the other vacation rental spots in crescent bar. Crescent Bar Resorts found us a much better house in sunserra, and had amazing service, explained the agreement and fees much better and had no hidden fees or surprises! read more

I recommend Select Rentals to anyone coming to the Gorge. Their prices are great even compared to hotels in the area, and the Crescent Bar community is just beautiful. Everything was a short walk from the Condo like the golf course, pool, and waterfront, and only a short drive from the Gorge Ampitheater. The weather was perfect, our condo was very spacious, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. This is the best way to enjoy a concert in Washington! read more

The lady Shelly that works as the HOA person for the property was extremely unprofessional and rude. I don't know how she has a job. She harassed me and my friends everyday we stayed here and we even are cutting our trip short because of her. Some of our wrist bands broke and she wanted us to pay 50 each to replace them. She also told us 30 dollars for additional parking passes and said cash only. Another guy that worked here said the parking passes are free she cannot charge us for them so she was trying to pocket our money. We went to the pool and 2 people had broken wrist bands and she kicked them out and made them find their broken bands. The select rentals people told us we don't need to technically have them and if we don't she can just look our names up and see that we are staying here. Other families at the pool didn't have wrist bands on and she didn't bother them. She screamed at us in front of everyone when we asked her why she only is mean to us and said "Get the fuck out" in front of families and kids. Our friend left his phone at the pool and she would not let him have it back. She can't hold someone's personal property she told one of our friends don't worry I'll give it back to him but I want him sweat a little bit. She has harassed us our whole stay and has gotten away with it how does she have a job? I'll never rent from here again and I am going to file a harassment complaint with the sherif how she treated us is unacceptable and not right. read more
