I came to SuitSupply for a very specific and meaningful reason. I wanted a custom tuxedo to walk my only daughter down the aisle at her wedding. Given the importance of the moment and the price point, I had high expectations. The initial experience was strong. The consultation, fitting, and in store service felt thoughtful and professional, exactly what you would expect when investing north of a thousand dollars for a tailored tuxedo. Unfortunately, the jacket fit missed the mark. When I raised the concern, the initial response from the tailor left me with the impression that this was simply something I would have to live with. That did not sit right with me given the investment. I asked to speak with the manager, and credit where it is due, he handled the situation extremely well. He took the issue seriously, showed genuine interest in getting it right, and ensured the jacket was adjusted as best as possible so I could confidently wear it for the wedding. After the wedding, they brought me back in to fully redo the tuxedo and included a custom shirt as part of making things right. Unfortunately, the redo was worse than the first fit. I am still not sure how or why that happened. At that point, we started over again, this time with two people taking my measurements and another custom shirt added to the order. Throughout this entire process, the overall professionalism in the store was solid, with the exception of one representative who occasionally missed the mark but did catch himself and apologized. Everyone else genuinely tried to deliver a good experience. Where things consistently broke down was after the order was placed. Something seems to get lost in translation between the store and the suit makers, and that disconnect ultimately undermined the experience. Bottom line. The in store service and intent were good. The execution and consistency of the final product were not. As a result, I will not be a customer moving forward. I truly hope my experience remains the exception. My son, nephew, and son in law are all active SuitSupply customers with multiple custom suits and shirts and have had positive experiences. For me, however, I am now looking for a different long term partner as I continue upgrading my suit closet. read more

Not recommended to buy suits or pants here. The quality is very disappointing considering the high price. I purchased a pair of pants in-store, and after the very first wash of the pants (before I even had a chance to wear them), the button strap broke and the waist area tore apart. When I went back to the store for help, the manager refused to exchange or replace them because it my fault not used dry clean which they never told me before and was not friendly or understanding. My fiancé and I went here for his suit for our wedding and I am very ticked at the service. My fiancé is too nice to say anything but it's *very* aggravating being left by our attendant while he juggled other customers when we had our scheduled appointment. Yes, he's very knowledgeable about the suit selection but we literally stood there for almost 40 minutes *alone* and our supposed to be 1 hour appointment went over to an hour and a half and extended to his next appointment. I recently had a very disappointing experience with this store, especially after spending over $2,300 on two suits. I went in to pick up a jacket and to drop off a black jacket from another suit I had purchased there just two weeks ago. I've only worn that jacket twice, so it was in perfectly normal condition. However, the staff member assisting me made a comment saying if i took it to a dry cleaner, i asked why and he said ohh because the tailors might refuse to work on it for "hygiene purposes." I was like what? Oh yeah that's the procedure. Ridiculous ! My jacket was cleaned and the way he approached the matter was quite rude . I found this extremely inappropriate and honestly quite embarrassing. Being made to feel uncomfortable like that, particularly as a recent customer who has made a significant purchase, is unacceptable. To make matters worse, I called afterward to file a complaint and was told that the manager, Pedro, would call me back. Unfortunately, I never received any follow-up. Because of this experience and the lack of accountability, I chose to take my business elsewhere, and I will not be returning. read more

Review primarily for Farhan (with a sprinkling of Anthony as well). We originally came in November and met with Anthony (who no longer works at Suit Supply). Anthony supported us in recommending certain fabrics for our summer wedding. He then let us know to return a few months before the wedding to order our custom suit. As others have mentioned - getting an appointment can be challenging. However, an appointment is strongly recommended despite the walk-ins they do offer. You have to be monitoring and refreshing frequently as Suit Supply books out very quickly weeks at a time. We kept our eyes out for about a month before we got lucky and saw Farhan had an opening in two days. We quickly booked the appointment online. Once checked in, Farhan was easy and fun to work with. He conversed with us, had a friendly demeanor, and a great sense of humor. Farhan was very patient despite my need to see options over and over (I'm a very visual person) and never once showed any irritation when I asked so many questions. Farhan was very professional in his ability to ensure that my fiancé's suit would fit him correctly with his pinning and measurements. There was never any pressure from Farhan to purchase anything extra. He had great suggestions from start to finish about the custom suit and completely respected our preferences as well. We felt that he truly cared about what we wanted and would be comfortable with. I bought my son a brown double breasted Havana jacket with Vigo trousers that are straight thru the hip and thigh for $994, on March 30, 2024. He wore it 4 times and then the trousers ripped on May 18 2024 as he was getting into the car. The trousers are made out of a wool silk linen. We took it back to Suitsupply. The new sales person we got had my son put on a pair of Brescia in a size 40. The Brescia's are a slim pair of pants that are slim thru the hip and thigh. We did not buy the Brescia's in March because they were too tight. The trousers I bought my son were the size 40 Vigo, supposedly one of the roomiest pair of trousers Suitsupply sells. The new sales person said she would not have let my son buy a pair of trousers that tight. She said it was the same size as the pair he ripped. The previous sales person did not have my son buy a tight pair of trousers. She did a great job fitting him in a comfortable pair of Vigo trousers, but not according to our new sales person. My son did not want a pair of tight trousers. I would not have let my son buy a super tight pair of trousers either. The notes in their system said my son preferred a slim fit. This was in reference to the jacket, so he would not need to alter it, adding darts to the back. This was not in reference to wearing pants so tight you can see all the bulges. Not a very nice customer service practice, putting down your fellow employee and not knowing the products that you sell. But hey, try on a pair of Brescia, if they fit, then the same size Vigo's will fit you. If the Brescia's are too tight so are the Vigo's so don't bother, okay. Please see various other reviews on other sites too. There are a few listed with complaints that the trousers ripped and Suitsupply blamed the buyers. Buyers used the trousers improperly. Most people I know of, sit, stand, get in a car, go to a wedding or prom, as proper usage of a suit. Suitsupply advertises with men in water on the beach or in trees, which seems rather irregular and if their products can survive that, then sitting and standing shouldn't be an issue, right? No, a third party like the dry cleaner will rip it, or the customer led them wrong, causing Suitsupply to sell them the wrong pair of trousers. How many people do you see wearing suits in water or trees? Look at their ads. Crazy! Seems to be false advertising if you can't even wear the suit in a car but hanging from a tree is no big deal. But seriously, maybe it's such a bad product that so many trousers and jackets rip, Suitsupply can't keep up with replacing them or they can't afford to stand behind their product. I love my son. He was so embarrassed by the ripped pants, I did not want to further embarrass him. He tried to explain how they were having him try on this super slim fit of trousers to say his ripped because they were too tight. Instead I bought him a custom replacement pair of trousers for $309 so my son would have a complete suit. This brown suit was his favorite and I didn't want him to hate it. I also bought him a new blue suit at Suitsupply because it would be a good weight to wear throughout the year and he was looking forward to getting another custom Italian suit from Suitsupply. Hopefully, these two suits will work out better than the ripped pair of trouser's. I really recommend Nordstrom's men suits. Their Canali suits are half canvased with a roomier fit, instead of fused like cheaper suits but they cost $2,000 and sometimes, $1,000 on sale. As soon as they are on sale, you need to be super quick. Nordstrom would never blame the customer. They do not have a waitlist of 60 to 90 minutes and one sales person at Nordstrom can help multiple customers at the same time. But if you are looking for a less expensive suit, try out Suitsupply. You can build a suit from the ground up within set parameters. Sales people are nice. They do have quality items but they are more fragile. Make an appointment on Sunday when they make the schedule and if that's not possible, set aside a few hours for the wait. read more

This was a bizarre experience that after a month of waiting, ended with me getting a refund due to a complete failure of the custom suit. This was for my wedding and now I don't have enough time to do a different custom suit. They don't do measuring, a standard practice for custom suits. They merely eyeball what they think your sizing should be and then pin an existing pair of pants and jacket. When my suit arrived, it was significantly larger than me. The armpits were way too tight and the sleeves were too short. They did a 3 day alteration but even the alteration didn't fix the issues. See the attached photos for what the after custom and after alteration pants looked like. There's no butt and it balloons out at top as if I were wearing a diaper. Suffice to say, for a business that is known for doing custom suits, they missed the mark by so much that I would never recommend them for doing a custom suit. Save your time. Ordered 2 suits with Ryan and as soon as I walked out the door and got to my car I remembered he didn't mention a few available customization options I called and informed them within 5 minutes and no changes could be made but sales rep never mentioned the full options as I could see on website. I let that go and continued to wait for the 2 suits, Measurements were done at 44r, and a bunch of tweeks to seem like high end tailoring. I went to another Suitsupply and they said I'm a 41-42 as all my other suits and pants were also 2 size up. When the suits arrived now my 4th trip I went to pick up and another associate measured me and came up at 41-42r also, so they let me borrow of of the suits for a reception and 2 reps Janelle and a (manager) measured me again. So they returned the 2 suits and ordered 2 more, = more wait time. I went to pick the 2 suits which 2 associates had remeasured and they both had a break or extra fold behind the collar, was told wait an hour and turned out to be 5 hours of wait while they fixed. So as you can see, multiple trips and they still cant get it right. I still would not recommend with all the time wasted, the cost, and inexperienced feedback. I would say shop around and visit a proper tailor, I still feel the arms are to long, there is extra material in back area, but front button has slight pull. Hard to figure this front is fit and rear has extra, also its straight down no taper look. Just doesn't feel right for the price and time invested. read more

Shopping for suits has always been very difficult for me. I always have a hard time squeezing my arms into a suit that is supposed to be my size and my build changes throughout the year due to my diet and lifting routine. I've always considered a custom made suit a huge waste of money because 6 months later it won't fit me well anymore. I decided to give Suitsupply a try after receiving numerous recommendations from family and friends. The price of the custom made suit is actually cheaper than the ready to wear suit brand I always shop at, and because the suit is made to fit my body specifically I no longer have to worry about being not comfortable at certain areas. Anthony was the sales associate that helped me during my visits. He was professional and patient, and took my special needs into consideration when taking my measurements. I was very happy with the suit set when I received it. It has been about 6 months now. Although I have gained around 6-7 lbs due to bulking, the suit still fits me very well. I did not appreciate the service by the bearded black haired man (I believe he is Nima) at suit supply in Santana Row, San Jose. I was shopping at 4pm Sunday, Sept 15. I walked in at my appointment time, and he was very friendly at first. I wanted to try mix and match, and he gave me a lot of combos, was super friendly throughout, and I absolutely appreciated that. But all the combos weren't working. So I wanted to try same color suit pants pairs and he seemed a bit irritated that I was switching. And then when I asked about a different color, he said I was going all over the place. Wtf? And then he tells me he has another guest, and then that I have 5-10 minutes to try things on. Ultimately, WITHOUT his help, my partner and I found the right suit jacket and pants pair, with sweater. Funny enough, it was the white color pants that I originally asked for which he recommended against. I spent $940, and I am not going to spend that much unless I am very happy with what I'm getting. The time pressure he put on me and his attitude was ridiculous. Ultimately, the checkout was done by a different friendly man (Reza). Absolutely ridiculous and made the whole experience stressful. I've probably never dropped a grand on something while being treated like dog shit. read more

They're on top of the day of reminder and follow up confirmations. I went with my dad who doesn't speak English well to get him suited. Casey was super patient while I provided translation and was super knowledgeable about the options. I felt the process was very methodical and there was a precise process to each step, from picking out the color, fabric, button, pants, vest, and jacket. There's literally an option for everything. My dad also got a vest so the grand total was $900 for a 3 piece suit/pants/vest. See picture for breakdown. Looking forward for the fitting in 6-7 weeks. PROTIP: make sure you are wearing your dress shoes for the fitting! I had my dad bring his own slacks, dress shoes, belt, and dress shirt and change there to help with the fitting BEFORE starting the process. (They later gave him slacks to try on for length adjustments). Bring a tie too if you have a set color/pattern and want to match the colors with the prospective suit. I came here with husband (then fiance!) to shop for a suit for our city hall wedding. Our ceremony was mid October and we came here at the beginning of September to have some buffer time in case there were delays. We were recommended by a friend who said she had a good experience while shopping for her own husband and brother. I now agree with her recommendation! Some background on my hubby -- he's 5'8" with a thinner build so we were trying to look for some slim cut suit styles for him. He also didn't own a suit beforehand so we thought getting a pre-made style from here (with minor alterations) would probably be a good investment and better than just buying off the rack at the mall. We thought the Lazio style would be a good fit since the description said slim fit. I wanted a dark grey color since I thought black was a little bit too harsh/professional. We took our friend's suggestion of going to the SJ store right when it opened on Sunday morning to avoid the crowds. We normally wouldn't be able to come during the weekdays due to work. Coming right around 10:45/10:55am for their 11am opening was great timing -- parking lots were still empty and you didn't have to fight for the attention of the sales associates. We came here 3x: first time to try on different styles and to order a Lazio suit in dark grey since the SJ store didn't have it in stock, second time to try our ordered Lazio shirt and get measured, and third time to try altered suit and take home. All our visits were about half hour and seemed expedient. First visit we were helped by Christine. She also thought Lazio was a good fit for my hubby but allowed us to pick out other styles to try on for comparison. She was helpful in pointing out what to look for in a good fit (i.e. where shoulder pads should lie, how the hem of pants should hang, and giving tips for matching accessories). Since the store didn't have our color choice, she brought out lots of swatches for us to look at and told us the pros/cons of various materials. We ended up choosing a Lazio suit in dark grey that was pure wool for under $400. Second time we came we were also helped by Christine. Our suit actually got a bit delayed because originally it was supposed to come from SF store, but they didn't have it so they had to order from a Colorado store. Instead of one week we waited about 1.5 weeks for new suit to arrive so I am glad we started shopping earlier before our ceremony date. New suit looked great and we trusted Christine's suggestions for alterations. She pinned the jacket back a bit to make it slimmer and showed us the length to hem the pants. Third visit we came to pick up the altered suit. It only took about a week after we got things measured for final suit to be ready. Christine was out but I believe Benjamin helped us during our last visit. He gave great suggestions on different pocket squares to match with the suit and our dress shirt color choice. He did inform us we can buy accessories at the store but wasn't overly pushy about it. He also gave us suggestions on how dress shirts should fit since the one my husband wore that day was a bit big. I took his advice and was able to find a smaller size at the mall. If my hubby had to wear dress shirts more often for his job then I'd consider coming here to get some dress shirts tailor made. Overall I was pretty impressed with the service at this store and the quality of the suit we bought. Don't bother. I went here ready to talk and buy a custom made tuxedo for my upcoming wedding. Was told to wait a moment, so we ended up walking around for about 5-10 minutes, then Yusuf showed up and he had the most condescending tone when I asked about how the process worked. He kept trying to throw in phrases like "Price only going higher" or "You know covids rule, once you try it, you buy it." I went in with a $2k budget and came out with just disappointment and feeling like I was made a fool of. Each question I asked like "So would I be able to select the lapel and see the price associated with the different materials, like the 110 vs 150." and I'm not even kidding when he rolled his eyes at me and said "no, you just make an appointment and we will measure you, and once you buy it that's it." I wanted to see the different options, the different looks with different accessories, the different texture and materials of the clothing. I recently visited this location for my first time to buy a common suit they carried off the shelf. I already knew what I wanted and wanted to just buy it and get going. When I first walked in the store, I asked the front desk where I can find the suit and the employee up front told me they don't have any appointments, they cannot help me without an appointment, and the store was closing in 2 hours so there aren't any more appointments that day. I was OK with that since I knew what I wanted is an off-the-shelf item so I asked how the store arranged so I can go find the suit myself. The employee tells me things are just scattered around and then just walks away without helping me. Very unprofessional. I decided to look for the suit myself, and found it within a few minutes of browsing the store. I checked out with another staff up front, and went on my way. This is a great place for anyone who just needs a quick suit put together. The person taking your measurements is different from the one doing the alterations. The end product is a poorly fitted suit but their salesperson will stand firm to convince you that is how your body and suit should look. Either you buy a suit there and take it to your own tailor, or you can go across the street to Macy's and buy an equally decent suit for half the price (and thne go to your tailor). read more
