Enjoyed my visit to Nordstrom this afternoon. I hadn't been there in many years. My main reason for going was to browse and admire the designer handbags, my current obsession, without buying anything. They have a really nice selection. I was able to see bags and charms from Coach, Tory Burch, Kate Spade, Longchamp, and many more designers. I had admired some of the bags online and enjoyed seeing what they looked like in real life. The biggest surprise was Coach. I burned out on Coach purses over 10 years ago, but found some of their bags to be quite beautiful and well-made. I also saw some Tory Burch bags I really liked, and I'm not usually a fan. One sales associate offered to assist me and then kindly left me alone and let me browse. Spending time at Nordstrom was one of the highlights of my visit to the mall. read more

I am requesting management review of a checkout experience at this Nordstrom location. My partner and I were waiting in line at the register when an employee told us, along with another couple, that there was "no line" and directed us to move to the other side of the register. We complied immediately. After relocating and waiting as instructed, another customer was then allowed to cut ahead of us even though we had already been waiting, twice mind you. When I raised the issue in the moment, stating that we had been waiting first, the situation was not corrected and no adjustment was made to the order of service. The employee pretended to be surprised there was a line when he was the one who kicked us out in the first place. The result was inconsistent queue management that disproportionately affected multiple Asian customers who were waiting in line. Regardless of intent, the handling of the situation created a perception of unfair treatment and favoritism to Caucasian customers and was not addressed when brought to staff attention. I am sharing this feedback in hopes that management can review staff training and ensure consistent handling of checkout lines so customers are not redirected out of order or left waiting unfairly after following instructions. read more

For the alteration department: Very unprofessional experience. I booked a 30-minute alteration appointment with Callie at 5:30 PM and was asked to try on my garment and wait. After waiting 20-25 minutes, no one came to assist me, and there were no updates or communication regarding the delay or whether the tailor was running behind schedule. That said, the fitting room itself was clean and well maintained, and the staff nearby did make an effort to contact the tailor. Unfortunately, I had other commitments and eventually had to leave due to the lack of communication. read more

This Nordstrom is located inside the valley fair mall. Stopped by today to look around and have lunch at Bazille on the third floor. I love selection of purses, shoes and clothes here. Came in here as my wife is looking for a dress for our daughter's wedding. Well, she found the dress that she liked, it wasn't because anyone helped her. The service here is gone down considerably. It used to be people catering to you to see if they could help you. I've even asked one employee a question about where the formal dresses were and she just pointed that way and then never came to check to see if we needed any help. read more

ANNIVERSARY SALE 2025: It's been 5 years since my last review, so it's time for an update. Maybe it's me, but it seems there are less items in the sale this year. There are still plenty of good deals on denim, but not as many handbags and shoes. Before the sale, I scope out items I want and add them to my wishlist. Then on the sale day (which opens up online at 9:00 pm Pacific time the day before), I add everything to my cart and pay. Unfortunately this time, many items on my wishlist were already sold out (to those with Icon status and was able to access the sale before me). I always select pick up in store, which is usually available the next day. The pick up is easy and efficient. They also have dressing rooms especially designated for trying on purchased items. Then I can return anything that didn't fit. The whole process is well orchestrated and makes shopping online a ton better than shopping in store. Although some items I wanted were sold out, it's still a great sale. And Nordstrom is so good with customer service and returns, it's still my favorite department store. read more

The men's department at the store sold me two pairs of pants with stains on them when I got them home. Mostly packed them up and when I opened the bag to put them on for the first time for a wedding, they looked awful. Never shop here. read more

Nordstrom has been my playground for many years. They always carry high quality items, and I love how their logo, graphics, and overall layout are constantly updated everything feels fresh and modern. I probably buy about 80% of my clothes here! And let's talk about Nordstrom's customer service, it's truly top notch and hard to compare with anyone else. The main reason I wanted to write this review is because of their return service. I usually go to the 3rd floor for returns, and there's a staff member named Ray who is always so pleasant and professional. He makes the whole experience easy and even puts a smile on my face. Not everyone is as nice and attentive, but Ray definitely stands out. Thank you, Nordstrom and Ray, see you soon! read more

The mall is cooking us inside with no AC, we are paying for parking go to the mall to shop yet feel so uncomfortable due to lack of AC, feels like corporate greed, things use to not be this way. It shouldn't matter if I'm a paying customer or window shopping treat costumers like human beings and turn the AC on in the mall. read more

Quick take: worst Nordstrom Can I give a zero stars for customer service. I needed something from the Dior cosmetic section. We were there in the middle of the day on a Monday. No associates working. One associate was chatting it up with 2 women for a long time. Not looking at any product. Just standing there talking to each other. There was another customer that was in the Dior section longer than us. No one helped her either. No service. That's okay. sadly, reviewing a shopping experience. I am looking for a birthday dress to wear in Vegas (Where your style is required for dinner reservations). I have a favorite brand. My last purchase of CB was in London.Loved shopping in their store, trying the selection here. I chose 3 items to try on. Sales person was helpful to show me to a dressing room. When she checked on me, I asked if they had the same dress in another specific color. I vaguely remember seeing them on the rack. She "checks"? Tells me "no, sorry. something about only XS? . If she offered to order on line for it, I don't recall cause I was too busy being surprised by the unaccommodating shopping moment. Hmmm, ok Thank you. I would have been impressed with. "allow me to find you another dress, let me check other colors". A simple "sorry" and walk away instead. I walked out of dressing room underwhelmed and a bit of astonished. Having been in bridal dress consultant business, I would have handled this differently.I returned the garments I tried on to the racks where they belong. I saw the color and size I asked for on the rack. Surprised. There IS the dress I was asking for.She didn't want the sale? I walked out of the dress area with no intent to purchase my favorite brand. I came in on Friday, March 13th around 5 PM to shop for graduation dresses. I selected a few items and headed to the dressing room area, where I saw a woman in a red shirt and black pants walk out of one of the rooms and completely ignore me. I initially assumed she was another customer, as she made no effort to assist or acknowledge me--even after seeing me clearly looking for an available fitting room. All of the dressing rooms were filled with staged dresses, which made them appear unoccupied and ready for use. Since there was no guidance or assistance, I began trying on dresses in one of the rooms and asked my partner to come take a look. At that point, the same employee abruptly came in and told me I needed to move because someone else was assigned to that room. She insisted I gather all of my belongings and relocate--while I was in the middle of changing. The interaction was handled in a rude, passive-aggressive manner, and at no point did she apologize or offer any help. I was never checked on or assisted throughout my visit. This was a frustrating and uncomfortable experience, and the lack of basic customer service was disappointing. I would not recommend coming here if you expect respectful or attentive service. read more

I am a former employee of this store but am fond of shopping there and have many good relations still there, as I worked there for years. I was shopping there today for a gift, and as I was talking to a supervisor in the department, the store manager (obviously knowing the supervisor was talking to a former employee) approached the supervisor and told her "Do you have anyone else watching the floor?", suggesting that the supervisor stop talking to me. The thing is, the supervisor was talking to me about a shoe I was shopping for. I am a customer, and I did buy what I came in for. If the supervisor was talking to any other customer, the manager would not have pulled her away. This was a snide and underhanded way for the manager to make me feel ousted, and is an example of a much deeper problem with this store - the store manager. During the latter time of my employment there she had assumed management of the store, and from then on the morale in the store dropped to zero. Absolutely no one who works in the store has expressed happiness working under this manager, and many have expressed extreme dissatisfaction. This manager seems to actively want people to NOT like their jobs. And in fact, at several points while working there I was told I couldn't go home until I collect people's phone numbers. Yes, I was told I -can't go home- until I collect phone numbers. This happened more than once. Clearly the store manager pressured the department managers, and that pressure passed on to overly dictatorial behavior. I've never heard of a job where employees are told they can't go home, like they're in detention at school. Recently I purchased a designer shirt, and an employee in that department (no names to not put this employee at risk) told me there is a lot of stress to collect phone numbers. I feel bad for the employees there. Sure every job has pressure, but at this job they'll actually tell employees they can't go home! Shows what kind of management is there. Dictatorial, unpleasant, petty, and morale destroying. Now, as a customer myself, I experience this manager continuing vindictive behavior. I would advise you, the customer, to avoid this location and buy from other places. Supporting the current management is doing nothing but keeping the employees in a terrorized work environment. I guess my daughter was not happy with the $900 dresses from Walnut Creek's Macys...? Quality/Quantity - Got a few more dresses for my daughter. Cool happy hour bar at this location, see pictures. Nice place to take a break while my daughter shops. Atmosphere - Nice upscale location. Extended holiday hours, see picture. Open 7 days a week, normally from 10am or 11am to 7pm or 9pm. Service - Good, especially their return policy. Price - Expensive, but you pay for the service with this company. And it is worth it! Not going to share how much we spent. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1901, which started out as a shoe store! 1963 - Added apparel when they acquired Best Apparel of Seattle. 1971 - Company went public. 1973 - Nordstrom Rack launched. read more

Alterations at Nordstrom - 5/5 Most Nordstrom card members don't know this is a free benefit, so let me tell you! If you're short and weirdly proportioned like me, it's probably hard to find pants that fit. If you buy the pants at Nordstrom with your Nordstrom card, then you can use alteration credits (that accumulate with purchases) to get free tailoring! Simple hemming requires no credits, and more complex alterations can be paid with the credits. The seamstresses there were so helpful in getting the right fit in the waist for my jeans and dress pants! read more

Decent store. Customer service is very dismissive in the stroller department. I finally was provided sufficient service a week ago. I decided to make my purchase online. Room for growth with customer service. They also need to improve their curbside service. It needs to be on the first floor. The point of curbside is for people to be able to pull up and leave quickly. The process of having customers work their way to the second floor and somehow get to the curbside spots is inconsiderate. The service in the parking garage is not the best so it's hard to check in. On top of the process to leave curbside. After 20+ minutes I should have just come inside myself. If they truly want to be mindful and provide sufficient curbside service they should actually consider the humans that need/prefer curbside. Quick pick ups after placing the order where we don't have to come inside. I'm accustom to better more intentional service at Nordstrom. read more

Nordstrom is known for its legendary customer service and generous return policy. Once I returned shoes that I wore once because they were so painful. they didn't blink and returned the shoes. You'd never get that from Macy's. I was perusing the "fancy" section that I was never seriously going to buy. Despite this, Jackie helped me and wasn't snooty. The fitting rooms for the fancy side are super spacious and pretty. I tried on the dress and it fit perfectly. I couldn't decide whether to spend money on the dress so I left. Encouraged by my aunt, I went back to try the dress on again. I decided to buy it. Jackie remembered me and the dress. They still had my size as I knew they didn't stock too many. I was in and out in less than an hour. They even put it in a nice garment bag for me. Sometimes in life, you just have a get the dress. Life is short! read more

I ordered a Michael Kors bag for pick up. It was a few hours before I went to pick it up and it still wasn't ready. I went to the hand bag department and I met Hart. He was absolutely great! He was friendly, approachable, and very generous with his time even though he was busy. He called upstairs to figure out what was going on with my order. He asked me to continue shopping that he would take care of it. He called me a few minutes later and told me the bag was ready, and he would personally go up to the third floor to pick it up for me I told him where to meet me in the store and he brought it right to me. He even had it wrapped for me to compensate the hours it took to receive the order. Excellent customer service. He definitely deserves acknowledgment from management. Beautiful Nordstrom store. Probably the second most spacious after Stanford Shopping Mall. Designer brand boutiques inside similar to Neiman Marcus but just less of them. Love their spacious shoe and beauty areas. But some of the sales staff in the perfume area are quite snooty which I find off putting. I decided to go direct to the brand's store in Valley Fair instead of deal with attitude. This store has some fun events! read more

Also, not sure if it's my imagination or paranoia but the staff here are helpful than the Nordstrom in Scottsdale. Came in the fitting room manager Brenda put me in there initially there was a women in there before while I have my pants off and the dress that I was trying on I hear the lady asking like oh my God I can't find my stuff where was It at? Her stuff was in the room I was in didn't notice until my clothes were off so I walk out and I'm like hey your things are in here mind you I'm damn near naked calling the lady to come get her stuff when I do that the manager Brenda tells me to get out of the stall and let that lady finish using it while I'm undressed. She's so rude when I arrived. She was rude as well didn't greet me. I guess I don't fit the standard. I don't know what her issue was with me but she's a horrible manager, she needs to do some training again if she doesn't know what last room a person was using she shouldn't have the job what's wrong with her? Everyone in the men's section was so attentive. The individual working the floor helped us start a fitting room and brought in our things so we didn't have to carry everything around as we shopped. She was very supportive and sent the tailor over to hem the pants that were a bit too long. Also the fitting rooms were well lit and very large with plenty of mirrors. We appreciate the service and the friendly staff. They made us feel very valued as customers. read more

I have a real love/hate thing with Nordstroms. I can usually find clothes on their website and then whatever I don't love, I can easily return and look around. Well, easily until now. For some reason they have done away with the easy and fast returns counter. Instead since there are no signs to a return department. The customer is left wandering around. I asked two people who work there and both said, " you can go to any counter but they are not salespeople." One suggested the third floor. I started the new task of finding a counter with a salesperson. Up I went up to the third floor and found a counter and salesperson. Perfect. This salesperson was clearly not taking this request without more information. He asked, "who sent you?" Gosh, "someone" not going into too much detail. What difference did it make? Not satisfied he asked, "what did they look like?" Ummm..."what department? Second floor??? I'm calling my manager. He needs to know!" "Can I just do my return?" "You have to find the receipts on your phone!" Usually they just ask my phone number and check the tags. What did he think I was trying to do? We went on in this vein for about 5 minutes. Maybe longer. It was uncomfortable. People started looking. My plan to do any holiday shopping is quickly dissipating. I'm near tears while I find two separate receipts on my phone. Nordstroms doesn't even put them in their shipping boxes. After being treated like a whiteness to a murder and then, even worse, a suspect in a crime, I found the information on my phone. I always like Nordstroms for gifts because they are known for their gracious returns. I guess that's finished. My returns were from two days ago, with tags and packaging. I'm not the criminal mastermind they seem to think I am. Isn't Nordstroms training anyone? All that needed to be said, "Thank you for shopping with us. Can we show you anything else?" If that's not possible, just "Thank you" and we could have parted fri I couldn't wait to leave. Luckily, Tiffany is close by so I went over there and had a soothing gracious shopping experience. Very happy with my recent shopping experiences. The store is beautifully staffed and everything is immaculate. I shop here a lot and it feels like they have found a wonderful balance. When everyone is so nice and helpful, the smiling shoppings are carrying shopping bags. It makes a huge difference. He knows the designers and has a fabulous eye for what works. I like a purse that says, "business" but "whimsical". Marc found it. If you need a purse, wallet or tote, go see Marc. If I ran Nordstroms, I'd put Marc in charge of this department. He knows everything! Please let him do some buying for this department! The right purse makes such a huge statement. I found a beautiful skirt and looked for help. There was no one. No one! I put the skirt back and left. After I got home, I went to their website and the skirt was delivered in 2 days. Always good beauty, advice, and knowledge from Sam A in the beauty section. Totally recommend scheduling a consultation with her. Had one of the new dishes at the café on the third floor. I brought in my Birkenstocks today not to have my shoes be returned but to have my talking Birkenstocks be glued. I do not believe in this "Nordstrom has an awesome return policy" as I spoke to the sales guy as much as it was already embarrassing for me to even bring in my shoe that I rarely wore even though it was from 3 years ago. You can even tell from the sole of my shoe that it was clearly not worn out. I asked to speak with the manager at this point, as I spoke to someone on the chat via their online website and was told that if I were to go in person they would be able to assist me. Only to find out that they could not fix it in house as they no longer have the person who fixes the shoe working there anymore. He even showed me the back of the receipt and said it was a case by case. It still baffles me that someone who was able to purchase a shoe a year ago was able to return their shoe but someone who purchased their shoe 3 years ago and barely wore the shoe was unable to to have it fixed/exchanged in anyway even after the fact I was told if I took my shoe in they'd be able to assist me. I was told I can go down to DSW. They can repair my shoe or even go on Amazon to order glue and to do it myself. Let's say I religiously wore my shoe during the first year and all of a sudden this happened? How is it my fault that there wasn't even glue to hold the shoe together my fault when purchasing a pair of $100 sandals?! Outrages! I drove 40 mins out from where I lived all to have them laugh behind my back after leaving. As it wasn't already embarrassing to bring in my shoe after 3 years. I purchased both my Birkenstocks from here and will no longer be shopping here any longer. I will stop recommending Nordstrom to everyone I know from now on. read more

Just came in to smell a few fragrances I was interested in purchasing, and the lady refused to spray more purely on the fact that SHE didn't believe I was going to purchase anything.
