This is a great place to go for a combination of sushi and Thai dishes. The portions are really big and everything we had tasted great. Be cautious when ordering medium spice, your meal will be very hot!! Our waitress even gave us a little warning! Our waitress was super attentive without being pushy or rude. Don't let the exterior ambiance fool you - there are great meals waiting on the inside!

This is their new famous lettuce, 0 cal and highly recommended and for all of the Jewish community. This is complete kosher.

Had lunch with some colleagues ordered the chicken fried rice with pineapple was delicious. Also had crab Rangoon not very good and also ordered the peanut chicken sayta which was so so. Service was quite interesting but very clean and nice atmosphere. The pad Thai is outstanding and some of the best around. Would recommend if you're in the area parking is easily in their back and very fast service if you want to try something different order just a head of lettuce on a plate.

This place is a great option for halal thai food. The dishes all tasted fresh and authentic. I especially liked the beef fried rice and gaeng ga ree curry.

Sukhothai is a decent halal Thai spot in the metro Detroit area. I've dined in before but recently we got takeout from here. I love khao soi and was so excited to see it on the menu and decided to go with that. Unfortunately our takeout order was missing my dish so we had to drive back, but the restaurant handled it well. The flavor of the khao soi was amazing, but I do wish it had some veggies or garnish. My friend had a beef entree and enjoyed it but wished it was spicier. We also shared crab rangoons and egg rolls which we all enjoyed.

We got a few dishes here from green curry, curry pad thai, pineapple fried rice, and pad ma kher. We also got an appetizer golden shrimp. Overall the food is really good and flavorful! I was hoping for bigger chunks of pineapple in the fried rice, but still enjoyed it nonetheless. The service is great and quick! The restaurant is nice for groups and families. It isn't loud and has a great vibe. Also the meat here is halal!

Excellent food, I have been to two locations now and they both are great. Staff is friendly, we arrived closed to closing but they got us our food fairly fast and we were out just in time. The place is located in weird spot but inside is cozy and comfortable. They are Halal!

I have eaten here for years and by far is my favorite thai restaurant. The chicken and veggies are consistently good quality 8/10 albeit a little flattened. The sauces are rich and flavor packed. Noodles well drenched in sauce. I recently had the chicken drunken noodles and chicken pad. Both amazing but by far my favorite dish is the drunken noodles. Busy place during dinner so arrive early if you can.

Came in for lunch just before noon on a Monday. Mozied on up to the bar and we were greeted right away, asking what we'd like to drink. I ordered a Mai Tai and it was tasty! I can't say what the dining room was like as the bar is right there when you first walk in but there were quite a few carryouts that came in. Looking at the menu, I decided on the chicken Pad Pak. That's usually my go to when dining in. I typically save noodles for when I carryout; that way I can pig out in private. Perfect spot for lunch; quick and not one thing I could find to complain about, even if I tried.

Food was outstanding. Restaurant is clean, service friendly and food comes out quickly

Beware! I arrived at 8:25 and was told they do not take dine in because they close at 9pm. I wasted a 20min drive.

The miso soup came out first and was pretty standard. The Tako Su had large slices of octopus with plenty of cucumbers. It was decent, nothing standout. The gyoza was actually an accidental order because I thought I had ordered shumai. Looking back, I probably should've realized something was off when the server asked if I wanted them steamed or grilled. Ironically, they ended up being one of the better items. I took them home and even cold later on, they were still good. The sashimi appetizer had a nice variety and was probably one of the stronger dishes of the night. Unfortunately, the shumai completely missed the mark. It was very wet -- you can even see it in the photo -- and just not how shumai is supposed to be prepared. Personally, I think Asahi Sushi does this dish far better, including the sauce. The beef bibimbap was also disappointing for me. I love bibimbap served in a scorching hot stone bowl where the rice crisps up and caramelizes at the bottom. This lacked all of that. In my opinion, both Asahi Sushi and Sumo Sushi do bibimbap significantly better. If that's what you're craving, this wouldn't be my recommendation. As for the sushi rolls -- the S n T and White Tiger Roll -- they were just bland. Not terrible, not inedible, but very forgettable. Overall, my experience was okay, but nothing about it stood out enough to make me want to return. The servers were pleasant, but there were no recommendations or guidance offered, and the food never really moved beyond average. I ended up giving this place 2 stars for three main reasons: 1. The servers lacked recommendations or menu guidance. 2. The food overall was bland. 3. There are significantly better sushi options nearby. If you're looking for exceptional sushi, udon, and bibimbap, I'd personally recommend Asahi Sushi instead. It's only about 12 minutes away and, in my opinion, absolutely worth the drive for the quality, presentation, service, and overall experience.

Highlights from the table included: the Shrimp Tempura Hand Roll, the Spider roll and the Salmon roll. For me, the California King roll was the show stealer. Not sure how they were able to get such a fresh taste to the Alaskan king crab, but it's a winner! The service was terrific. Very efficient. I drink a ton of water, so I appreciate places that keep the glasses full and other curiosities. Keep in mind I'm no connoisseur, but I thought every roll I ate tasted great. It was the miso soup that got me. If it were possible, a bit gamey and too salty. Come try it, it could be just me! 10/25

Our server, Julie, initially seemed helpful when guiding us through the menu and recommending rolls. However, she suggested the Rainbow Roll despite us specifically mentioning that we don't like imitation crab, which it contains. She also recommended the Tokyo Roll, which ended up being nearly identical to the Rainbow Roll -- aside from the spicy tuna on top, they are the same roll. When the sushi arrived, it tasted extremely fishy -- to the point where we couldn't even take another bite. When we let her know that the fish tasted old and fishy, she literally looked at her watch and said, "Yeah, it's the end of the night," and then walked away, which was surprising and off-putting. We arrived an hour and a half before closing, but the staff seemed to be rushing us the entire time. Servers were coming to the table almost every two minutes trying to take our order, which made it hard to relax. We also asked for extra napkins at the beginning of our visit and never received them. I ordered miso soup and it never came out -- after telling her to forget about it, she later brought two cups anyway. It ended up being the worst miso soup I've ever tasted. Honestly, I didn't think miso soup was something you could get this wrong. The spicy edamame was undercooked but actually very tasty -- we loved the chili sauce it was coated in. The seaweed salad was average, but it was plated over a large amount of sliced radishes, which made it look like you were getting more seaweed than you actually were. For $8, especially after being reassured it would be enough for two people, we expected much more. The Seafood Yakisoba noodles were overcooked and the sauce was a bit too salty, though still edible. Overall, we left feeling rushed, disappointed, and still hungry -- but so turned off by the fishy taste that we didn't even want to go anywhere else to eat afterward. Hoping this was just an off night, but it wasn't the experience we expected.
