It's time for an update. We still struggle with wanting this on Mondays when they are closed or too late in the day (after 7pm). But their flavors are still fresh and spicy! Adjust your spice level down a notch since they tend to run hot. But their food is always hot and delicious every time we pick it up. We usually do an online order and they are easy in 15-20 minutes with steaming hot food all packaged up for us. We will they'd bring back the pork rolls, but other than that a great option in the Troy area for Thai! read more

A pretty solid 4 based on just my first experience! Went there for lunch and ordered pad Thai w/ chicken and added shrimp, upcharge (fine with). It was pretty good but nothing out out of this world (is that even possible?). Their food runs hot (heat level wise), word of mouth is that and they tell you that too. So I went with a mild and added pepper flakes to bring it closer to a mild plus/medium. TBH I think I could've gone with a mild plus there (my usual), but I'd rather err on the side of caution. The girl behind the register was friendly and the place was clean too. It's self serve and you bus your own table, but I'm fine with that. It is a Thai restaurant but the owners are Hmong and I don't have enough experience to notice any differences by just ordering one dish. I would definitely go back here to try more dishes! read more

Delicious food! Their spice is fresh and very hot, order with caution. The flavors are great. Crab Rangoons were some of the best in the area. Service was kind and helpful. They have tables to dine in, but I opted for carry out as they were closing shortly. Can't wait to go back, definitely want to try their pineapple fried rice. read more

Honestly the best drunken noodle I've ever had and I've been to every single Thai restaurant in the area. The only downside is that you can no longer get beef with the drunken noodle which is confusing. Never seen that before but it's so dang good and consistent that I don't mind getting it with chicken instead because the flavor is spot on. Service is always very friendly. Definitely hotter than the Avery's Thai spots, the mild is a medium, mild + was like a hot, at least for me. Caution with the spice but otherwise really good food read more

It's only open until 7PM on Sundays. The build your own noodle or rice dish sounds interesting. You order and pay at the counter. They bring out the food to the counter and we bring it to our table. We have to put and bus our own tables after our meal. Ordered BYO: pad Thai curry with chicken and steamed tofu ($3) and veggies (green pepper, red pepper, mushrooms, egg, pineapple, Spanish onions, hot spice, a red curry entree: chicken, steamed tofu, broccoli, red and green pepper, mushrooms, Napa cabbage and Spanish onions mild plus. $42.29. One note though. There was no fresh Thai chilies in either of our dishes tonight, despite their advertisement about ordering your heat level because they use fresh Thai chilies. Isabella is good about repeating your order back to make sure your order is correct. She's quite patient and friendly too. The shrimp crackers are ok, a few hard pieces in it, but mostly decent. The red curry is nicely seasoned, mild plus is medium plus or maybe slightly hotter than mild plus even. Better rice would make eating up the lovely red curry sauce better. The hot pad curry Thai is quite hot, a smoky hot pepper flavor. It has good flavor overall. read more

This time I ordered a Pad Cashew with Shrimp Extra Hot. Boy, was it SPICY!! And delicious! It had me crying and sniffling and drinking lots of water. I've had many issues with this place since they've opened. The owners are very rude and don't appreciate their diners. During my pregnancy my husband would pick us up carry out from here at least once a week and that continued for a while afterwards too. Their food has become more and more inconsistent in flavors and they're not accommodating at all. They never fix their errors and just have an overall nasty attitude. You couldn't catch me spending my hard earned money here again after all the issues and failed corrections on their end. 90% of the time your food will be bland or super spicy out of no where- their spice levels seem to change with every order. We should have taken the name literally...this Thai was FLAMING HOT! Unfortunate because it hid what tasted like decent flavor potential. Drunken Noodles (Medium+): immediate smokiness when opened, mouth burning on bite. Tears. Pad Thai (Mild): For my wife too hot but I enjoyed it, I'd consider it Mild+ or even Medium. Decent flavor. Fried Rice: Pretty bland but not terrible. Some soy sauce helped. We also ordered a side of chicken. Fairly certain it's boiled and introduced into dishes when ordered. For reference: Any new-to-me Thai restaurants I order Medium or Medium+, commonly ordering hot from spots I know (Thai Taste, Sy Thai, Penn's and others) so this was a stunner. Have been living in the area since quite some time now but tried this one just last night and what have I been missing in my life.. just as they say Flaming, they have a spice level that i loved.. i ordered a medium, it was a bit higher than what i expected but was still perfect since i can still take higher than normal.. the sweet and sour chicken was really nice. It had the thai flavor that made it so much better than the chinese counter part to it. I will order again from there. Only thing that bothered me was that the menu didn't have any gluten free indicators for my friend to chose from but then she ordered pad ped that is her usual order in thai and she loved it too.. read more

Interesting little place, but has some odd quirks. Most important is that the food is really good. This is a new restaurant in the place where there was a pretty bad Thai restaurant. Completely different owners and menu. Their claim to fame is a build your own menu. You pick between rice or noodles, 1 protein, 6 vegetables, and a sauce. You can mix and match any combination. This way you get exactly what you want. Major difference here is they use fresh Thai chilis, which makes the dish much hotter. A medium plus elsewhere is a mild here. A regular medium here is scorching hot. Not sure why they do this nor how they accommodate tastes that prefer a true mild. Just be warned; everything here is MUCH hotter. Now onto the weird quirks: for their regular dishes, they steadfastly refuse to do substitutions. They will allow you to delete an item, but not replace it without an upcharge. I don't get it, as you can build your own dish anyway. Adding nuts to a dish is a $2 upcharge. Biggest pet peeve; no free water. You must buy bottled water. 2nd pet peeve: you bus your own tables, yet they pander for a tip. They are good, but quite pricey. read more

Great Thai food! Everything in my drunken noodle was fresh and delicious. My wife's pad Thai was refreshing and tasty. Their chicken, vegetables and noodles proved that this restaurant serves excellent cuisine. Our dishes were some of the best versions of drunken noodle and pad Thai we have ever had! A word of caution: they give warnings on their website that they use fresh Thai chili peppers. I didn't adhere to this warning and I ordered my drunken noodle with medium plus spice. It was spicy! It wasn't overwhelming, but their medium plus spice level is much spicier than other Thai restaurants. Avoid the Chinese fried rice at all costs! It was disgusting. They put too much soy sauce on it and it was burnt. It literally tasted like someone had stood in front of the grill and they blew cigarette smoke on it. Just awful. We'll come back, but I'll order mild spice during our next visit. read more

I am floored at how fresh and delicious this thai place is. My friend and I ordered rice dishes, and I got the pineapple fried rice with steamed tofu! The dishes came out super quick and were steaming hot! The spice level is definitely on a higher scale so spice one level down from your usual thai place. I typically get medium spice at other thai restaurants and ordered mild here and it was just right. I am picky about my thai especially the fried rice and they exceeded my expectations. My new favorite spot for sure. We also tried the thai tea which isn't bad but It was canned so I wasn't a fan. The space is pretty small, like only 4 to 5 tables but on a Tuesday night at 6pm it wasn't at all busy. A lot of carry out and door dash orders which I plan to take advantage of! I will be trying the drunken noodle next and I can't wait read more
