I called to schedule an appointment, but they told me that they have availability, so I showed up and didn't have to wait for longer then 15-20 minutes. I've gone to this location 4 times, and my first 2 experiences were great. The nail tech I went to has since left, but he was wonderful! He did my hard gel extensions 2x and they came out beautifully; he gets a 5 star rating all on his own. Suki, the owner, is also a very talented nail tech; she worked on my friend and her nails came out beautifully too. Now, the not-so-great stuff that knocks the rating down: 1. The wait time, even if you make an appointment, is ridiculous. I used to opt into a pedicure just so I wasn't waiting for my nail tech for 40 minutes, despite making an appointment ahead of time. I'd hate to think how long a walk-in would wait. 2/5 2. The pedicures were decent and relaxing depending on the staff member you got, but it's like playing Russian Roulette. 3/5 3. I had one horrible experience on my 3rd visit. Long story short, I came in to take off my gel extensions, regular pedicure, and just do a gel paint manicure. I was pretty new to extensions, but clearly said they were gel. One staff member started a soak for the extensions, which I had read is for acrylic not gel. I expressed my concern and asked if she's sure that's how to removed gel extensions; she insisted and so I let her continue. After 1hr of failed soaking, the owner comes over to check bc it shouldn't take this long, and quickly removes the soak and tells the nail tech to get the buffer instead. They buff down my nail to the point that it is thin (and bending), painful when touched, and I see red/purple under the nail. My bare nail looked horrible, so I asked for polish to hide what they did. I went home and cried, and spent MONTHS repairing my nails. I wouldn't go back for extensions/removal again. 1/5 I did go back a final time about a month later to remove the gel nail polish from the time before and to get a regular mani to cover up the damaged nails. I hope that my one bad experience here was an outlier. All-in-all, the right nail tech will be a godsend, but the untrained/inexperienced ones can cause real damage. If anything, I've learned a valuable lesson to trust my gut and better advocate for myself even when an "expert" tries to convince me otherwise. read more

Ehhh! where do I begin. Terrible service from the moment you walk in. There's a very bad vibe amongst the workers and the owner also doesn't do a great job at managing her wait time. The employees don't know who's waiting for what and they do not use any type of check in system or a list. The employees have nooooo regard for your requests and their only concern is the next customer and/or going home. They were all incredibly rude and barely any understand a single word in English. I get that this is located in the Inwood area of Manhattan, so Spanish speaking employees are a necessity, but the owner should definitely have a few who can translate at-least. Gave this place two stars because at least I got a massage with the pedicure chair while I waited for my nail tech to do a horrible paint job, which I had to ask her multiple times to either fix or do over. Zero attention to detail and zero care for the quality of their work. It's a shame and I hope the owner makes some changes and improves the quality of customer service provided at this establishment; doing so would definitely boost her clientele! read more

Arrived there today a little after noon. I'd called yesterday regarding holiday hours. There were a few people there - not a big deal. I only waited about 20 minutes. It was my first time there. I was told to sit at the only guy's table. After telling him what I wanted -- acrylic fill in -- I also told him my nails were weak and to please use the filing machine at it's lowest level which he did. However, prior to using the machine, he reached for a cuticle cutter and signaled for my hand. I asked him whether he was going to clean his tool before starting with me. He said it was clean. I told him I knew it wasn't since I'd just seen him use the cuticle cutter on someone else. He sighed then cleaned all his tools. His application of the acrylic was good but on this occasion I can't see giving more than three stars. He did not trim my cuticles, he did not oil my cuticles and he did not use base coat. My total was $18. I have him a $4 tip which is more than 20% and he didn't even say thank you. I like to address my manicurist by name so I asked him what his name was and he replied: "Papi Chulo". During my visit someone dropped a soiled pantyliner on the floor of the salon and none of the technicians would pick it up, forcing the manager to leave her occupied station to pick it up! The last time I went here was about a year before covid and I left with bleeding fingers and very sore toes (and I got yelled at when I asked the technician to be more gentle). I decided to give them another try and I regret that I did. I figured I would ensure I had a different technician and that this time I'm doing tips under the powder dip but my experience was still very poor. I chose to do tips because I bite nails and due to biting my nails, I want my tips very short as I am not used to functioning with nails. I told the technician very short and she did the initial cut. I told her I would like them shorter and she got extremely belligerent. She insisted that they were short enough and then started aggressively filling purposely getting my skin. I was completely horrified at that point and just said I'd cut them further at home. I somehow made it through the rest of the appt and now am left with nails I hate. They are not functional as I knew they would be and I will have to cut them myself so that I can actually work. The owner seems nice but the employees desperately need a reality check on customer service and human decency. I will not be returning. read more
