I dropped my car off at 9:30am and the store stated before leaving my car for 1x tire change that it would be done the same day which was the reason I chose this store. If I had known that they weren't able to service my car the same day, I could have gone to Marvis tires and brakes in Natick which quoted me at least $50 cheaper for the exact same tire/service. I didn't choose the other store because they weren't able to change my tire until the following day. Also, I was not notified that they were not able to service my car until after 3pm that day... I had to call off work to get this done and still had to Uber to/from work the next day... The person at the front desk did not seem to care at all and said to call the manager. If lying and deceiving customers is what it takes to get business, you're doing great. read more

I have all the documentation of both instances of Sullivan Tire breaking my car as well as my family members. You did not offer any resolution and the picture you took down was of the outcome...which you are also clearly trying to hide. I had to take my car from your Framingham shop to your Marlborough one because this shop was so incompetent, they couldn't even fix what they broke. On top of that, you took apart my brothers engine without any signatures and tried to charge him thousands and when you realized you had no authority to begin work, Dave and co threw all the engine components into a cardboard box which resulted in needing a new engine. Terrible experience getting new brakes and a tail light fixed. They screwed up both. After the new brakes were installed, they made a horrible groaning noise which the mechanics claimed not to hear. They readjusted them and the groaning noise continued. I took it to another Sullivan Tire who heard it, diagnosed it and fixed it free of charge. I also knew there was a wiring problem with one of the lights but they insisted it just needed a new bulb. When it failed again several days after the repair I again took it to another Sullivan Tire who found the wiring problem and fixed it properly. read more

I came in with a malfunctioning driver's side front power window and I mentioned how I thought it was the motor. After dropping off the car Wednesday morning with Nick, I got a call later that day from Nick telling me they determined it was the switch that was malfunctioning and gave me a quote and I approved the work. A few hours later Nick called back to say the problem was not fixed, it wasn't the switch. I picked up my car Wednesday eve for work and I dropped it back off Thursday morning so they could try again to find the problem. Turns out it was the motor after all. I was not happy with the fact they appeared to have ignored my suggestion that it was the motor, misdiagnosed the problem, costed me time and aggravation over two days when if they just checked the motor this would have been solved already. I was also very concerned about paying for the switch work and the motor repair thus inflating my bill for work that wasn't necessary. So when I dropped the car back off Thursday I wanted to know more about the switch and why they misdiagnosed the problem and if I would be charged for the switch work that I did not need. Here is where the team at Sullivan Framingham shined. Matt heard my concern and asked the technician about what happened. Ben came out front and explained precisely what happened, why he thought it was the switch, answered all my questions like a pro and Matt and Ben both reassured me I wouldn't be charged for the switch work. Matt and Ben provided excellent customer service at this point and handled the situation like true professionals. Everyone makes mistakes, it's how you fix them and learn from them that matters. I had a really bad experience here about 1 year ago. I waited about 4 hours in the store for new tires to be mounted. I asked for updates several times and they wouldn't give an ETA for a finish time. I also asked to pay while the service was still being done so I could get of there faster once it was finally done and they wouldn't do that for me either. Just way too long when they offer a "wait in the store" option for a tire change. I have since had my tires changed on the same car at Costco in under an hour which makes the experience at Sullivan even more frustrating. read more

I recently had the unfortunate luck to find a nail in my tire (wah-wah). Instead of yanking it out and potentially watching my tire go flat, I scheduled a same-day appt at Sullivan and asked for help. Tim (behind the counter) explained they'll pull it out, see if the tire is leaking, and we'll go from there. Luis (in the garage) took my car and let me know if the tire is punctured and leaking it'll need to be replaced based on where the nail was stuck. (Blargh.) Then after getting the nail out and checking it for a leak, I got the great news that it wasn't leaking. (Yay!) Luis took my car for a quick test drive to confirm the tire sensor didn't kick on (it didn't) and handed it back to me. They took my car on time, kept me up to date and every step, and used a floor mat to keep my car clean. The whole appt only took about 30 minutes, and they had free WiFi so I was able to work while I waited. I got lucky this time, and they certainly earned my business when it's time to make a real tire/service purchase. read more

I needed to get four new tires and an inspection. Unfortunately the tires I wanted weren't in stock since the guy I set up the appointment was accidentally ordered the wrong size. No big deal since the gentleman I met with was able to find me a good replacement that saved me from coming back a second time. They also were able to diagnose a problem I had in the front end which I knew I needed to take care of. All in all, a good experience. As far as mechanics go, I think these guys are honest, do a decent job, and do the work in a reasonable time. I definitely will come back. read more

I had kind of a spur of the moment need for my car and called to see if I could get the work done that day. Sullivan Tire in Framingham said they could do it but since they were busy it might take an hour and a half to get me in and get the work done. This is the worst auto shop ever. Do not go here unless you want to be told that your car needs a ton of work it doesn't need and then told they already started it without your consult (they try to say you gave them verbal consent when you didn't) and that you owe them thousands of dollars already. Then they will leave the pieces of your dismantled car in boxes and hold it hostage for about a week unless you pony up a few Thousand for them to put it back together when it probably only needed a small fix. Visited Sullivan Tire for the first time recently and was treated exceptionally well. I took my wife's car in for an alignment and was quoted $99. They charged me $99. They were very friendly and explained the results of the alignment. Service was pretty quick. They'd verbally offered free shuttle service as well instead of just putting it on the site and hoping no one accepted like many places do. Good people over there. read more

Had Work van repaired here today Their communication with regard to what they were going to do was terrible. Set of front tires was over $200 and they had a separate charge to put them on. They also did front brakes. Parts charges were outrageously high. A solid 3 times what you could buy parts for. The also added warranty fees without my approval. I will never go here again. Almost $1300 for front tires and rear brakes, oil change and alignment. I wish had gone to a smaller shop. They have 65 locations and their profit margins must be through the roof due to their buying power. Nobody is getting any deals here. I will never go here again and i give them zero stars. read more

Went for a routine front end alignment after I personally changed my tie-rods. They told me I needed a new control arm. I took the vehicle home checked the control arm and it was fine. Then took vehicle to Firestone and got the alignment. Then took the vehicle to McGuires Sunoco on Rt 9 and got an inspection sticker, both of which would not of happened if I had a bad control arm. Bottom line, if you are going in for routine maintenance an they tell you sometime is wrong that you were not expecting, SEEK A SECOND OPINION. BTW, this is not the first time this has happened to me their when going for an alignment, but it will be the last as I will not be returning. read more

I have had the unfortunate luck of blowing not one, but two tires during the last 6 months. Both times I have brought my car to Sullivan's Tire without an appointment (or much money) and desperate for help. The first trip that I had to make I was helped out by the Manager, John Dimascio. I explained to him the horrible ordeal that I had had the evening prior (my tire blew while I was inside the tunnel on the Mass Pike) and that I had to be at work ASAP. He was super friendly, got my car in immediately and did not even charge me for the disposal of the smelly blown tire that was in my trunk. Total cost to me was $25. On my second trip there I was helped out by the Assistant Manager, Ryan Collins, who was an incredible help. He not only called around for the best possible tire to fit my budget, but he immediately sent someone out to go get it while he helped me out with a credit application to pay for everything. He was also a big help with explaining the tire specials that would be coming up for me (once I saved up enough money to get a pair of tires that my car is supposed to have). I was in and out of there in an hour. My only "imperfect" experience with this Sullivan's Tire was that on my second trip to the business I asked them to please check the air in all 4 of my tires (I am not officially petrified that another one will blow). The assured me that they would, and I even double-checked before I had and was told by the Manager that it had been done. Later that day as I walked to my car after work I noticed that my rear tire was very low (I hadn't checked it when I left Sullivan's). I brought it to a local gas station where an employee checked all of my tires for me. He explained that that tire was almost completely flat and that either the folks at Sullivan's forgot to check that tire or I had caught a nail. It's been 4 days and the tire has been fine, so I am left to assume that they just didn't fill that one tire. Overall, this is a great, reliable place to take your car where the people are friendly and the prices are reasonable. read more

Went to Sullivan Tire today after making an appointment online. I was very impressed with the level of service - from setting up the appointment to actually purchasing the tires. I went online last night at 6:00 p.m. to make an appointment for 7:00 this morning. I received an e-mail from Marie at 10:00 p.m. confirming the appointment. It was not an auto e-mail; it was actually from Marie and I was able to e-mail her back to ask questions. She was very quick to respond, even though it was pretty late. This morning I was able to bring my car in at 7:00, as confirmed. Mike was great in explaining different options to me. I waited while I got 4 new tires and an alignment - they had me in and out so I could still get to work on time at 9:00. Prices were the best I could find and I was given a $15 discount on my alignment. I was also eligible to receive an $80 rebate through Goodyear. Mike was very helpful in getting my rebate paperwork taken care of. I will definitely go back to Sullivan Tires for all of my future tire needs! read more

Sullivan Tire Has Gone Over to the "Dark Side of the Force"! I have used Sullivan Tire in Framingham ever since I moved to Massachusetts in 2006. I used them because they were (at that time) provided good service and appeared to be quite honest in their dealings with customers. Unfortunately, I will NEVER got back to them again because that honesty and good service has changed. Here's what happened: Last winter, I had my regular tires taken off and my snow tires put on. At that time, Sullivan gave me back my regular tires, wrapped in bags, because they were all deemed good for another year. However, when summer came and I went back to Sullivan for the tire swap, the guy behind the desk was somebody I had never met before. This new guy told me that ALL the tires were too bad to be put back on the vehicle. I asked him that--if this were so--then why did Sullivan let me take all the tires back home when I put the snow tires on? He continued to claim that he didn't know, but that all the tires were bad--too bad to be driven on--all four of them. He NEVER offered to show me the problems with the tires, but he did seem very anxious to take the tires off my hands since they were supposedly "no good." I was suspicous, and I told him I'd take the tires elsewhere. Upon returning home, I showed the tires to two friends who know a lot about cars. Both said that the tires looked just fine. Finally, I had time to take the tires to another place. I told them what Sullivan had said and instructed them to not put the tires back on if any of them were bad. GUESS WHAT? The second (non-Sullivan) store said the tires were just fine and posed no danger for my upcoming road trip to Canada. They gladly put them back on for me. I can't believe that a store that was once so good has now sunk to this level of dishonesty, but apparently this is the case with Sullivan Tire in Framingham. My recommendation: AVOID!!! The fellows running this store now obviously have no scruples about taking advantage of a woman customer. read more

These are top-notch people. I bought four new tires and the service was friendly and fast. Then they went above and beyond when making a mistake. They told me that the manufacturer (Yokohama) was running a $60 mail-in rebate and gave me the manufacturer's form to fill out. So I sent everything in to Yokohama and then Yokohama came back to me with "invalid product for this rebate". I took this back to the store, and they immediately apologized and refunded me $60. The vehicle was brought in on the 12th. It is now the 17th. I went in for a serpentine belt and to check why my coolant kept needing to be refilled (mind you after they fixed the radiator twice already and I'm still having issue) and they had told me I needed a new axle. I agreed for the axle to be repaired if it could be done by end of the day. They agreed. I picked up the vehicle and came to find out the axle was not put on correctly. This put me in a very dangerous position and is a safety issue. I brought the vehicle back. They then called me later that day and told me my vehicle was ready. As soon as I left the establishment my vehicle was not driving correctly so I drove back within a 5 minutes of leaving. They again, put the axle in incorrectly. Again, my safety was in danger, and this was the second instance! They then tried fixing the axle for the third time and again, did not do it correctly,They closed at 6 pm without even calling me to tell me they again put the axle in wrong for the 4th time nor to tell me the vehicle was not ready. I called them and they had left for the weekend, and again, left me without transportation. The vehicle was brought in on the 12th. It is now the 17th. I still do not have a vehicle and the vehicle has still not been fixed! Again, I went in for a simple job of getting my serpentine belt and coolant issue resolved. It has been six days and I still do not have a vehicle! Highly incompetent! To add, there was nothing wrong with the vehicle when I drove it in for service. I called to find out the status of the vehicle and they told me the drive shaft was taken out of the vehicle.!There was nothing wrong with that vehicle besides a squeaking steering belt and coolant leaking when I brought it in. The vehicle drove fine without issue, Next thing you know the driveshaft is taken apart, which I did not give permission to do and the vehicle won't be ready until Thursday the 20th! That is 9 days later! They are a bunch of crooks! The vehicle drove fine before I brought it in besides the belt needing to be replaced and to find out where the was leaking coolant was coming from. There was nothing wrong with the drivability of the vehicle. Now my vehicle is in pieces and I was not notified it needed a driveshaft nor did I give approval. Nevermind I could have been killed due to them putting in a faulty axle, not just once, but three times! DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE THERE. THEY ARE NOT ONLY INCOMPETENT AND TAKE YOUR VEHICLE APART WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION EVEN THOUGH THE DRIVABILITY OF THE VEHICLE IS FINE, BUT YOUR LIFE LITERALLY IS AT STAKE! read more

Egregiously shady???? I'll let you be the judge.... on 11/16/17, I had a 10 am appt , set up the previous day, to get 4 new tires on my car. I arrived at the location and checked in with "D.Ross." At about 12 noon (2 hours into my appointment) , D.Ross asked if id like to have the car inspected as well, since my sticker was about to expire. I said "yes". At 12:30, when the car was finally finished, i was told it failed inspection. The car is a 2015 Honda civic with 41k miles, which has been maintained by the dealer (as it was on warranty) and had been through a full service checkup within the previous 6 months. Apparently the emissions check failed. I found this extremely unlikely, as i have never so much as had the "check engine" light appear. D.Ross gave me various scenarios as to what could cause this, none of which were applicable to my particular situation. It was suggested that I drive the car for awhile , then bring it back to them. In addition , $537 worth of Brake work was suggested to me, with a written estimate/explanation. I left, and immediately brought the car to a trusted local mechanic, whom i typically go to for inspection stickers and light maintenance of other vehicles. He tested the car and said that 3 particular items were coming up as "Fail" on the diagnostics report. Which, he said, is totally common for a car that has had its battery disconnected or drained/then jumped. I have never done either of these things to my car. Ever. It is as close to perfect as a car can be, I believe. The mechanic was emphatic that something had happened to the battery, while at Sullivan Tire in Framingham. Although, he would not imply intended malice on their part. He told me to drive it at least 100 miles, then return to him for a sticker. A week later, I did just that, and my car passed inspection. However, i asked him to please review the brake job as proposed by Sullivan Tire's technicians, D. Williams and B.Goodman. His analysis was that i needed rear brake pads at some point soon. Which is the one item NOT suggested by Sullivan Tire. Furthermore, he questioned as to why they would suggest an alignment, when they had just installed 4 brand new tires. To me, this goes beyond the typical "upselling" done by service centers. It's egregious dishonesty, whether intentional or accidental. WILL NOT GO BACK TO ANY SULLIVAN TIRE, and will be circulating my story as best as i know how. read more

Both Pat and Pat were on top of everything as far as pricing, contacting me with info and when the car was ready. With other shops, I've had to call them to get an update, but this is the second car I have serviced here and that's never been an issue here. I got 4 new tires in December and it was mostly a positive experience but got a nail in one of the new tires so had to take it back to replaced today. The mechanic was incredibly rude, left the steering wheel really dirty (which considering what is currently going is disturbing) and it seems like even went into the console for some reason. I am long since out of the automotive industry but spent a number of years turning wrenches, service writing, and managing similar retail automotive repair facilities. In short I retain enough history and experience to know when I've come across a great collection of HONEST people in the automotive services field. When I moved to Metro West 4 years ago and was dislocated from my previous service providers, I was anxious to say the least. I own and drive two turbo charged cars, one of which is tuned and somewhat modified and am apprehensive to say the least when handing the keys to anyone, even for an oil change. I'm also ready to call BS on anyone who may not know I fully understand automotive repair backwards and forwards, and am not shy about it. I'm am very pleased to say, I've been coming to this Sullivan location for 3 years after trying other similar local service providers, and I will rue the day I move again. At Sullivan I found a great team of individuals from the folks at the counter to the individuals in the shop who always make me feel welcome when I need to peek at something underneath or want to better understand a description of something. In short these guys have always been very honest, fair, courteous, and beyond willing to work with me to figure out the best way to handle a complex repair (and always more than willing to get me in and out in a hurry, whenever feasible, even for the simple unexciting ones). I don't to a lot of reviews (which I need to fix!), but felt compelled to help a business that completely deserves some praise (which in the automotive industry is hard to come by--people are generally not pleased about parting with their money to keep their car healthy unfortunately). If you read some of the negative reviews, please take them with a grain (or a bucket of salt). There are some folks out there who simply don't understand (or don't want to) the guidance they are being given, or the origin of certain rules being applied (such as with state inspections). In many cases these folks are unfortunately the messenger of news customers don't want to hear, and wrongly take out on them. In short, take it from someone who has been in the industry--these folks are fair, nice, and enjoyable people to work with. Very bad experience here. Came in for my check engine light being on - ended up letting me know I needed two new front tires (this wasn't the issue). Tim called me and said if I wanted them to check my engine light that was on it would be $130, and notified me that the two new tires would be $571 (I guess it cost 50 dollars per tire to just put them on). I told him please hold off on the check engine problem, I'll take it to my local mechanic or autozone for a "Free" check not $130. He calls back to let me know tires are not in and they already ran the check engine light. Tim says "Sorry, they did run that test for you but good news! no problems! that will only be $130 for the test!" (On top of the 600 for two tires.) I said I told them I didn't want this test to be done, which I clearly stated on the phone.. he comes back with " Well they didn't know - how about we split the cost of that then?" I'm sorry I didn't know we were bartering here............ needless to say, I picked up my car that night and took it to Town Fair Tire. Literally the SAME tires and SAME process only cost me $389. I cannot believe Sullivan wanted to charge me 200 dollars more for tires. Yes they are convenient, but its all a sales pitch. Tim literally sounded like a sales guy. As precautions, they checked out a few other areas, didn't charge me for unnecessary things and got everything done in a reasonable amount of time. And they have free Wi-Fi! I can't say enough about Sullivan tire on Union Street in Framingham! I went in with a very unusual situation I had a donut tire on my car on Saturday and was going to pick a new one up at my mechanics on Monday. I love my mechanic and there's no way he could've seen this coming. I woke up Saturday morning and my donut tire was flat! Being kind of clueless I had my car towed to Sullivan Tire but didn't even think that my mechanic actually had my wheel LOL. He was holding it to put the tire on so I could pick it up early Monday morning. No way have I ever heard of a donut going flat Anyway, being clueless about cars I was begging them to put a tire on my car with no wheel ha ha. Tim and the gang at Sullivan Tire drove all the way to my mechanics, drove my wheel back to their facility and put new tire on my car. They also noticed that my passenger side front tire was dangerously low on tread and it would only be a matter of time before it blew out. My mechanic is closed on the weekend so I had no option but to wait. They replaced that as well Tim and the guys at Sullivan Tire went above and beyond I can't tell you how much they helped me! read more

This place used to be great. SOMETHING CHANGED THOUGH. Wife went in for an inspection & they told her the exhaust system was damaged to the tune of $2,500. They said it was rusted out and had holes in it. They said it was a major safety concern and that she would get arrested for driving home with a R sticker, but they could fix it right away. She knew better than that. Brought it to our mechanic, put it up on the lift, NOTHING wrong with the exhaust system at all! NO rust, NO holes. Don't be fooled by these crooks. read more

This used to be my 'go-to' place for auto maintenance, mostly due to convenience, but they were generally competent. The things I asked them to do were easy: tires, brakes, mufflers, etc. I was a very loyal customer. This used to be a good option for auto repair in Framingham. In the last two years or so they seem to have become less competent. In the last year they appear to have switched to a business model than relies on scamming the customer into repairs that are not required. That is beyond incompetency and is in the realm of dishonesty, cheating, or thievery. My last several visits have resulted in my leaving after receiving a bogus quotation and taking my vehicle elsewhere for a proper, honest diagnosis which was very different from that provided by Sullivan Tire Framingham. They appear to have a particular disrespect for female customers, thinking that they can talk them into unnecessary repairs. I would recommend that anyone without knowledge of auto repair avoid this location as they will try to exploit your lack of knowledge for their gain. I have seen through their scams, but you might not. When I was not present, they have tried to scam my wife, but she has been too wise to be taken in. A case in point: Within the last year Sullivan Tire Framingham replaced the entire exhaust system on my wife's Subaru wagon. It may have needed that. Recently, while working on the brakes, another service center noted that whomever had replaced the exhaust system had failed to replace one of the gaskets. Since it was under warranty, we took it back to Sullivan Tire Framingham. Their conclusion after looking under the car for a few minutes: "You need your entire exhaust system replaced." Oops. No, I don't think so. You just did that. I would avoid this Sullivan Tire location at all costs. There are other Sullivan Tire locations in the area and there are many other places for auto repair in Framingham. I will not return. You should never visit. read more

Worst service ever! I had an apt for my truck. It needed a battery, brakes and tires. I arrived at 7am and the counter guy was very confused. After about 20 minute of waiting for him to wake up, I told him "brakes, battery and tires, I'll wait". After about an hour and a half he tells me that the battery tested good and the brakes and tires are fine. I explained to him that I was a mechanic for 30 years. The battery is junk cause the truck sat for 6 months and I load tested it. The brakes have 45,000 miles, the wear indicator is rubbing and the rotors are warped. An hour later he came back and said "the battery was at 40% so we replaced it. The brakes are at 6mm so those and the tires should last until fall." I looked outside and they pulled my truck out. It was obvious that they simply didn't want to do the work. It's a 2013 Silverado with 45k miles. Complete waste of time and money. I'll bring my fleet elsewhere! read more
