I've been a Sullivan Tire customer in Quincy before but this was my first visit to the Marshfield location. I recommend them for repairs. My car needed a new starter and the tire light was on. I waited 4 hours on a Saturday morning and the starter was replaced - and tires filled back to correct tire pressure. (No visible leaks - just temperature changes in weather messing with them.) The waiting area has a table and chairs near the front window, with a power outlet close by. I sat their using my laptop (with my headphones on) most of my wait. There's clean restrooms. Free coffee and water are available. There's a TV area that was playing Parks and Rec while I was there. Staff was friendly and clearly communicated what repair was needed - and a price estimate, before starting the repair. I'll return whenever my car needs it and recommend Sullivan Tire to others. read more

I usually don't wait on site when my car is being repaired but I got to use the Lounge area for the first time today. I have continuously gone to Sullivan Tire because of there great service and honest work ethics.

Staying in Marshfield for the holiday week and needed to get four new tires installed at the local Sullivan. I stopped in to inquire about a promotion and to confirm tire brand and model. The service person needed to contact the warehouse, but wasn't able to reach anyone. I was told they'd reach out and let me know once they'd heard back. Three hours pass and no call to confirm tire availability, so I call back and tell them that the next tire level up is fine (GY MaxLife). They recommended I come in the next morning at 9am. I told the service guy I would be in before then hoping to avoid an all day appointment. The shop opens at 7:30am. I drop the car off at 7:45am. I take a $20 Uber ride 8 miles back to my house to wait. After five hours I call to inquire on progress. I was told my car was not ready. I wait another 30 min and decide to take another $20 Uber down and hopefully the car will be in and begun by the time I arrive. At this point it's been about 5.5-5.75 hrs. I let them know I am there and that the car had not been touched. I have a seat and wait for another 25-30 minutes and still no progress. Technicians moving at a glacial pace, throwing job jackets over the counter at the counter personnel. Just careless and juvenile. After the 6-6.5 hr mark I decide to pull the car without having the work done. I approach the counter and am mistaken for another customer. After explaining I am not that person, I receive the full refund and take the receipt and leave. We are fine not using Sullivan, and do not require further contact - thank you, Tiffany S. read more

I normally dread having to go fix my car , thinking, I have to wait hours or have a friend pick me or , we'll , you get it. That was not the case with Sullivan Tire. I called around 11 am and told them I needed a new tire. I had a big bolt like thing in my tire. I was going to trade my car in and didn't want to get an expensive tire. Mike looked at it and said. I can fix your tire for $ 30 bucks. Perfect. It was just an easy fix and easy day. I was in and out in no time. read more

I was VERY pleased with the service, and customer service, I received. My battery and alternator died on a Friday afternoon. AAA replaced the battery and recommended (insisted, really) that I get the alternator replaced stat. I called around to several services, but nobody will answer a phone after 4PM on a Friday, even if they're technically "open". I started researching again early Saturday morning, discovered that Sullivan was already open and would replace my alternator that day. They drove me home, replaced my alternator in less than six hours (I can't even tell you how many people were already there when I arrived at 8-ish), and came to get me. I plan on using them for my next work. read more

My husband and I have been coming here for various services over the years. I've gotten a couple of oil changes done and we've had work done on tires. I like coming here because the store is clean and professional. They have a small area with a TV, magazine and books for kids. They also have a little Keurig machine for customers to use while they wait (they also happen to be next door to a dunkin donuts, so either way:). The service is pretty quick and I've always been treated with courtesy. I am not sure if I would go there for anything major because I love my mechanic, Bruce, at Bruce's Automotive in Hanover! but I do stop in here because it's close to my house and I've never had any bad experiences. read more

I brought two lawn mower tires in to have them swapped onto my rims. $60! No balancing or anything fancy. Just swap the tires. The tires that I purchased cost less than that. Last year, they did the exact same thing for $30. I guess they've gotten big enough that they can charge whatever they want, and if you think that's too much, there are plenty of other customers who feel that money is no object. read more

I have taken my car to other auto shops, but as soon as I found Sullivan tire in Marshfield I won't go anywhere else. I know that I can trust everyone there to tell me the truth and not charge me for something I don't need fixed. They have even told me that I could wait to get something fixed as it could farther before a fix needed. I've had friends and relatives who have gone to other stores and shops and had bad experiences. I tell them to go to Sullivan Tire Marshfield from now on. Didn't work out for me, but I've recommended them to people because they'll pass a car for MA state inspection when it doesn't pass! Now I've been spending the past couple months replacing all the safety items that would have been free from the dealer who I just bought it from if it failed... When I picked my vehicle up and confronted the mouth breather that closes up about why it didn't fail he just kind of gave a (very) dumb smile and continued to cash me out. So- last spring I had brought in my 2011 Kia Soul there for some tires and brakes, and they informed me that I should replace the timing belt since car had about 120K miles on it. A $600 expense on top of the other work. Since I know I was giving my car to my daughter, I figured better be safe than sorry since a broken timing belt essentially ruins the whole engine. So they apparently do all the work, and I give the car to my daughter. She drives it for 8 months, takes car to Wisconsin for a job, and puts about 27k more miles on the car. Three days ago her car stops dead while she's on a highway -thank god she was okay.. the Wisconsin Kia dealer where car was towed said it was a broken timing belt, engine fried, car a TOTAL LOSS . I can't help but think something wasn't done right at Sullivan since a new correctly installed timing belt shouldn't have FAILED after just 27 k miles. UPDATE 12-11-17: a tech from Sullivan tire reached out, and they are going to investigate what happened to my car at their own expense. I do very much appreciate this, and frankly am impressed. It shows a lot, to me at any rate, about the company trying to do the right thing. UPDATE 12-12-17 Sullivan tire paid a Kia dealer in Wisconsin to take apart the engine to diagnose the problem - turns out what broke and ruined the engine (and car) was NOT the timing belt that Sullivan replaced, but a different engine timing chain. Kia mechanics said they have never seen this Chain break before. Timing belt was fine and CORRECTLY INSTALLED BY SULLIVAN. Kudos to Sullivan for going the extra mile (they read my initial highly negative review and contacted me out of the blue to try and figure out what happened. ) Altough I'm quite bummed that the car is a total, I'm More than impressed that Sullivan reached out to get to the bottom of my complaint. read more

Very bad experience. He returned my vehicle to me after an oil change without putting the oil cap back on. I drove my jeep home, everything was covered with oil. He asked me to tow it back to his shop at my expense, which I did. He returned it to me the next day. After failing to clean it when I left it for him overnight he then refused to reimburse me for an engine detail. $200 He also refused to reimburse me the $80 charge for the oil change. I've read other reviews and they seem to be OK. Unfortunately not in my case. I Would give zero stars if available. read more

I needed and inspection sticker on my car and my wife needed the leaky corroded rims on her car cleaned up. Called on a Thursday for appointments on Saturday. Got there got the quoted completion times. Went for breakfast. Got back my car was done, hers was going to be a little longer but quicker than quoted. I had been losing pressure in my tire all week so decided to get up early and go to Sullivan tire seeing it was close by. I arrived approximately 15 minutes before they opened. When I saw them open the door I walked in I told them I needed to have my tire looked at he put my name in the computer asked my number to call me when it is ready. I said I will wait. He said ok and started to walk away into the shop. I said how long is the approximate wait, he said we have a lot of appointments and it probably would be late afternoon before it is looked at. I said I was gonna wait and nobody is here but u think it won't be done until late afternoon. He said yes. I said thanks anyway I will take my keys and go somewhere else. I can't believe that this guy would expect me to sit all day to wait for a 40 minute job to plug a tire and not say anything to me. If I didn't ask an approximate time he would have said nothing and had me sitting there all day. Anyway drove straight to Firestone tire and they took me in and 45 minutes later I was completely fixed. read more
