The waitress, who was actually the owner was super friendly! My hubby enjoyed a freshly made burger and a I had a hot italian hoagie with so much meat I ended up giving him some. This was a hometown bar, not something fancy, if you're looking for that. We enjoyed a few beers with our meal as well. Icy cold. In the summer , we were told, they use fresh from the garden ingredients and make a delicious Rueben sandwich which we will be stopping back in for. SO BUMMED! I used to LOVE, love, lovee this place back when it was the mountain cafe. We live in Pittsburgh but often make the trip to state parks in the area. This used to be our go to spot until it changed. We stopped by at the end of last summer, when we noticed the changes, and it was one huge letdown. We recently were in the area and decided to give it another shot. Upon walking in, we noticed they remodeled and it looked very nice. The sign said seat yourself so we found ourselves a booth. That's when it all started to go downhill... after we sat, it took at least 10 minutes before we were even noticed. Once we got our menus we had another wait to order. Instantly I noticed the prices skyrocketed. 9$ for cheesesticks! 11$ for nachos! When we finally got to order, my daughter wanted raviolis. The waitress had to check to see if they had any, another 10 minutes. Nope, they were out. Instead, my daughter ordered a kids meal, alfredo noodles and fries. The menu said kids meals come with a side and drink but the waitress said it did not. However, she ended up giving us fries anyway. I ordered a small pizza with onions. We ordered about 1:30. By 2:30 I was over waiting. A few more minutes passed and I went up to the bar to see if we could just cancel our order. At that point the server had JUST brought out our food. The place was far from busy so I dont understand why it took an hour. At this point I asked for a box and a check and to get our food to-go. It was once again another 15 minutes before we got everything and were able to go. The worst part was when I got the check. Kids meals claim to come with a side and a meal, included in the price. When I got the bill, I was charged additionally for the kids drink. At that point I just wanted to go. I figured it was just easier to pat the extra 1.50 than waiting to ask about it. We've passed this place many times after the ownership change and always wanted to stop due to their patriotic signage. The service was great, conversation with the owners even better, and the food was tremendous. The atmosphere was lowkey and the smoky smell within is always a favorite scent. Trump Dump. First thing you see when you arrive are Trump signs: election rigged Trump won, Trump 2024 and anti LGBTQ banners. Not exactly welcoming. Then, upon opening the front door, you are faced with a sign that says we don't have any help, we don't have any service, go to the bar to order. We went to the bar where 3 regulars glared at us. We were immediately approached by the bartender who asked what we wanted to drink. Looking around, we felt like a can of beer with our best option. The beer was cold. The bartender was spending a lot of time in the back. I think she might have also been the cook. We were never offered menus or asked if we wanted anything to eat, which was the reason we went there. Maybe she didn't feel like cooking. The regulars were throwing F'bombs around like every 3rd word in a sentence. This place is a dump. We went a long time ago and it was laurel mountain inn but now I would never go back. It's dirty, the music is loud, and the menu is not real good. Not to mention they want you to pay 14 bucks for a sandwich and fries. Don't waste your time here and drive a few minutes up the road to oakhurst grille where the food is amazing! read more

Worst food i ever ate extremely shitty slow service . Food was all burnt n over cooked mashed potatoes were brown baked potato looked like it sat in the warmer for 3 weeks . Lettuce was rotted tomato was served with the core . The chicken fingers n mozz stocks were ok considering they were a frozen product. The prices for the quality of the food you get was a joke . This used to be a good restaurant it now sucks ass . One table of 7 just got up and walked out on their tab . We soon followed after . The waitress blamed ot on the owner but the whole place is a joke and the cook should be fired immediately. There is no way they were deep fried. The wing night special is the same price as the regular menu, so I'm not sure why they call it wing night. If you check them out, try a burger or pizza. My family has been coming to this restaurant for ~20 years, since it was the Laurel Mountain Inn. Food has always been good with meh service. We most recently came to Sullivan's in July of 2019. We had a party of 12 on a Saturday night and expecting them to be busy, we called a few hours ahead to make a reservation. We first stopped at the bar for a drink and ordered 8 jager bombs, one with ice and seven without. The bartender served us 7 jager bombs, four with ice and three without. We were then taken to our table and walking through the restaurant, noticed we were one of three tables in the whole place. Instead of seating us in the bar or dining room, they sat us in their "event room" which was freezing, full of flies, and cut off from the rest of the restaurant. We ordered waters, beers, appetizers, and dinner soon after. Some of our dinners came out very quickly along with the appetizers. A few of our party waited 30-40 minutes after that for their meals. After that time, the waitress finally brought out a pitcher of water and glasses. Rather than serving us, she left it on the table next to us. When we served ourselves, the water was carbonated, and we're not really sure why. Everyone's food was average at best. I ordered a side of ranch to go with my very bland steak hoagie, and the ranch tasted like food court ranch that they watered down. This was very disappointing as Laurel Mountain Inn's ranch (and other food, including great cheesecake), were wonderful and homemade. A few of our party went back to the bar and ordered 5 lemon drop shots. It took about 20 minutes for the bartender to serve us warm vodka with mushy/questionable lemons. We had one waiter who clearly cared about our experience and was trying his best, but the rest of the employees and the overall environment made it impossible for him to succeed. Our family spent hundreds of dollars on bad service and bland at best food. After about 20 years of coming here, we will never go back. read more

Dont waste your time. We waited about half an hour to order our food and then waited almost an hour after that to receive our food. We had to walk up to the bar to get our own drinks. Apparently our actually server walked off the job, the drama which we were uninterested in and heard a few times. The person who seemed like the manager was busy telling the bartender how a table walked in and he did nothing to help. They had 2 girls who may have worked there, drinking at the bar and then waiting on people. They finally brought our food out, set it on the bar for a few minutes, seasoned it with cigarette smoke and then finally brought it over. The food was cold and gross. I don't know how you mess up a chicken sandwich, but they did. I have never sent back food and this sandwich was the first time. Worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant. I'm normally pretty lenient after working in the restaurant business for 10 years but this was just ridiculous and unorganized. And quite frankly, I dont care about the server drama either that we heard a few times. Nope, wont be back. read more
