I've tried to support Sully's because I like supporting local Davidson businesses, but after about five visits, each experience has been more disappointing than the last. Today's order was a smoked salmon bagel with avocado. The sandwich came with what appeared to be a single small piece of salmon. For a $14+ sandwich, I expected a reasonable portion of salmon, not something that looked like a garnish. I also paid extra for avocado, but there was no avocado on the sandwich at all. Mistakes happen, but this wasn't an isolated experience. The food has been inconsistent on multiple visits, and the value simply hasn't matched the price. Had a late lunch at Sully's steamers in Davidson. Just felt like a bagel sandwich and it was already after two, which is when most bagel shops close but not this one. This bagel shop steams their bagels so that they're not terribly hard and crunchy, which is difficult when eating a sandwich. (my opinion.) The very pleasant and friendly associate, Morgan, waited on me and fully explained the process . I ordered the original Italian on an asiago bagel. Their takeout bags say " I'm a hot mess" and it's true but so yummy. I especially enjoyed the Parmesan peppercorn dressing. Make sure you visit Sully's Steamers at 721 Jetton St. It's right on the corner of one of the roundabouts off exit 30. They have an outside seating area with yellow umbrellas. Well, this is an easy one. The sandwiches are steamed, never toasted--and always on a bagel. You can choose the type of bagel. My turkey sandwich was awesome! The only negatives are price and time. Perhaps the price is due to inflation and covering costs, but it's still expensive. Since it's steamed, the wait is also about 8-10 minutes. If you have ever been to Firehouse Subs, the wait time is similar. Yea, Sully's Steamers is worth the wait. And if you pass by this joint, please know that it's not a vacuum cleaner store or seafood. I said I was waiting for my order and it was sitting on a cart behind the counter. No one bothered to call my name even though my order was ready. After missing the steamed bagels from Owens Bagels (closed since 2019), my husband and I were excited to try a similar concept at Sully's Steamers. We went for breakfast one weekday morning and split two bagels--a Breakfast Bagel with bacon, egg, and American cheese on a jalapeño cheddar bagel, and an everything bagel with plain cream cheese. We also tried their locally roasted coffee. The bagels arrived steaming hot--almost too hot to hold at first! We loved the warm, chewy texture of the bagels. Both tasted great, although the cream cheese bagel could have had more cream cheese (IMO). The jalapeño cheddar bagel was a good call for the Breakfast Bagel--the cheesy bagel added great flavor, and the jalapeño wasn't too hot. I would have preferred the egg being fried rather than microwaved, however. The coffee was flavorful and strong. We really enjoyed our meal. I have ordered from this company easily over 15 times in the last month. Today I went to order and carry-out. They had a large party (about 20) of workers sitting. I went up and placed my order for 2 Amercian Breakfast Sandwiched (again, for carryout). After paying for my order and standing for roughly 15 minutes, I found out they had to fix the 20+ orders for the workers sitting before they were going to fix mine. I went up and canceled the order through the manager. 1) why didn't they tell me of the wait before I placed an order. 2) manager came out, cordial but with no apology, no recommendations to fix the issue, just a blank non-caring face. 3) I wasted a drive 20 minutes to get there and another to return. 4) unacceptable management, I won't be back again!!!!! read more

I asked if they accepted Apple Pay and I was told they had just closed out the register. The young man only said the register was only closed for cash and took my order kindly. I had the Mr. T on an everything bagel, and my kids had the kids pizza bagel. The Mr. T was excellent. The pizza bagel was good, however, the pepperoni was a little too spicy for my kids so they ended up taking it off. Pricing was just right - $4.50 for a kids bagel sandwich and a drink is a pretty good deal, and the non kids bagels are large and overflowing with toppings. Very good breakfast sandwiches on bagels. They steam the bagels to make them soft and warm opposed to an oven method. It's not soggy by any means but it doesn't have that drier crunch of an oven warmed breakfast sandwich. I think it may be personal preference if you like it or not. My kids and I went one morning and shared two different ones. The kids had a basic one with egg, cheese and bacon. I got the veggie one on a cheddar jalapeño bagel and it was also very good.
