Burrata Salad add chicken & avocado

Mouthwatering sandwiches, soups, and salads with high quality ingredients served in a quaint atmosphere featuring a spacious outdoor seating area nestled in "downtown" Davidson. This little spot screams Southern Charm and hits every mark for me. They were absolutely slammed midday on a weekday, so prepare for that! They get through the orders seamlessly though. Only one bathroom and a pretty substantial line for it, so again, just prepare! I can't imagine you'd go wrong with any food item here. I had the Burrata salad which was outstanding. My friend had the Chopped Butter Lettuce. We also ordered the Pesto Orzo Pasta Salad which may not be an every day option but yum!! It absolutely should be. We enjoyed our food so much that we came home and recreated it. We'll definitely be back for the real thing though! This is a staple near the college.

I like the pickled peach, their sandwiches, like the Rueben and the cornmeal shrimp, can be amazing. However, I think most choices are just okay. They have very fresh ingredients which you can tell their baked goods - amazing, every single one I've had is good. Service I would say is always friendly but average. Ambience, can get really busy.

Really enjoyed a stop into this place while visiting Davidson on a weekend. Loved the interior and it was tough to pick a sandwich as they all sounded good. The seating is all outside on their patio, it was a lovely day so we enjoyed it, but I imagine it gets hot in the summer/cold in winters. It was really lively on a Sunday around 1130. We enjoyed a pulled chicken sandwich and got the veggies and hummus for our daughter (who's obsessed with hummus). I also got a cinnamon and sugar donut that was ok. It was a brioche style donut and I was expecting more of the cake style for that donut. My daughter loved that too though. Everything was delicious, will definitely be returning.

Positive experience as so many others stated. In addition to the great food, service was great. They sell lots of local products. I'd like to come back to shop. Right next to the farmers market. Parking is limited. My husband liked the cookie he had so much he bought more to take home. Clean bathroom. I'd love to come back.

This is my second time coming here. Such a cute lunch spot for me and my best friends. I am gluten free and I love how many options I have including desserts.

The town of Davidson holds many unique restaurants and stores. The Pickled Peach is one such venue. It's a little bit hidden on the side of a building off Main Street but Goggle maps will take you straight to it. You order everything at the counter and they'll bring it out to you when it's ready. They have limited indoor seating but a fairly large covered porch. I thought the staff was extremely friendly and helpful with our questions. Our sandwiches were good but not on the bread they said it came on and mine was toasted way too much but I didn't send it back. I just cut off what was not worth eating. They would probably garner another star had the sandwich been correct because at the higher end of pricing on a sandwich with a very small side I want the quality to be checked off on all the boxes. We also got a dessert and those were very good.

Great food, Kale Caesar and halloumi salad. Good wine bottle. And when you say avocado -- bam. ** to all the restaurants in America, generous avocado says "we care, we appreciate good veggies, etc". Look at this pic!!

This was somehow our first time at the pickled peach and it did not disappoint! I got the falafael salad and my boyfriend got the grilled cheese. We both also got strawberry acai smoothies. The food is delicious and you can tell it's fresh. The smoothies are real ingredients as well, so if you're craving the processed/sugary type of smoothie this may not be for you but I personally loved it. They also have a kids menu, although we didn't have any children/people with us who ordered from it. The servers were all extremely nice and efficient with orders, service, etc. Even though it was busy from the farmers market (Saturday morning), our food came out relatively quickly and the tables were cleaned and turned over quickly. Overall great atmosphere! If you haven't been before, you order at the counter and then go find a seat. Your food will be brought to you once prepared.

Set right in downtown Davidson across from Davidson College, the atmosphere strikes that perfect balance--lively but still intimate. We had an 8:00 reservation but opted to sit at the bar as it's a rare occurrence for us. I couldn't decide what I wanted and asked the bartenders what they would recommend. I ended up opting for a lovely French wine. We ordered an appetizer and split a pork dish. At the end of our meal I asked for an appertif of sambuca and a bread pudding. To which the bartender told me we were going to "tap the brakes"...?? I was honestly confused about being cut off after one drink with meals served and a bar that was half empty and truly it made me upset. While I understand the responsibility of not over-serving, you also have the responsibility of being right about your judgement to which was wrong. We ended up leaving and spending our money elsewhere, a place where I was served because I was not in fact drunk. I was trying to enjoy a few drinks on a date. Be better flat iron.

While our appetizer and kids' meals came out quickly, our entrees were a little slow to arrive. I ordered the salmon and fries, since I could steal any more from the kiddos. Chef Erick + team take every measure to prevent cross contamination for those with allergies - whether seafood or gluten. I also love the way their set up is: order your drinks from king canary, order your food from the Marlee Jeans side. It's perfect for gathering with a group as they give you a number tent and the server/food runner brings you the food as soon as it is prepared. In my opinion, this prevents food from sitting in the windows and getting cold cause "it's not my table." The concept of gathering your own utensils (not plastic) is spot on as it allows those who only want to drink and sit and socialize not feel pressured to order a full sit down meal, thus washing cutlery that's never been used. For this most recent visit, I took advantage of their snow-weather special: $30 for 1 dozen raw oysters as well as their lobster Mac and cheese. Coming out hot and bubbly with a cheese crust, I had to wait for the Mac and cheese to cool off to eat. I sat at the raw bar and watched Chef Erick personally shuck my oysters. The presentation was great and everything was decent, but the food itself was just okay overall. Atmosphere and drinks definitely carried the experience for me. Unlike other reviews, where the food, experience and service are reviewed, my family never had the opportunity to indulge as such. On April 7, 2026, I made reservations for my wife, mother-in-law and three others for May 10, 2026, at 1:30 p.m., Mother's Day. My wife and mother-in-law had been anxious to try out the restaurant, as they had heard through acquaintances that their food was very good. I made the reservations via Choplin's web site, which showed the restaurant's availability for that date and time. Over the four weeks between the date when I made the reservation and Mother's Day, I received numerous reminders of our reservation, including one on Saturday, May 9th, where I was asked to confirm our intent. Sunday, May 10th, we drove the hour to get to the restaurant, everyone excited to be trying a new dining experience. When we arrived, the parking lot was empty, which we thought was unusual for a restaurant on this occasion (Mother's Day). We got to the door and found the restaurant was closed. We could staff inside but clearly; they were not open for business. We tried calling but only received a message that the restaurant was closed and to call back. While we were fortunate enough to find a local favorite that was willing to accommodate us for Mother's Day (though they did not have any openings). On Monday, I called Choplin's, hoping to speak with their manager to find out why such an error was allowed to occur but no one answered the phone. Once again accessing Choplin's website, I emailed the restaurant, conveying our frustrations and the impact their lack of communication had on such a special day for my wife and mother (in-law). That was on May 11, 2026. There has been no follow-up from the restaurant of any type. I understand that Choplin's utilizes third party services to manage their reservations, but I also understand that it is the responsibility of the restaurant to manage that service and the reservations made by the service provider. The lack of response from Choplin's restaurant speaks volumes about how little they care about their customers. I will be sure to share my experience with others as I don't care how good your food may be, your lack of customer service and support tells me that I should seek one of the umpteen other high quality restaurants around the area to spend my money, where customer service is priority 1.
