Bacon egg and cheese on Asiago bagel
    Jenna M.

Tried this place on the way to work one day, it was pretty good overall. I was immediately greeted when I walked in, I let the worker know it was my first time trying this place and he happily tried to help me decide what to try. I ended up getting a breakfast bagel and a smoothie. The bagel was good, I just wished I had gotten cream cheese on it too. The smoothie was alright, but if you don't drink it immediately the mix starts to separate a little so that tells you a little about how they make it. I liked this bagel place, I think the only negative that stood out to me was the sanitation score wasn't great (88 i think if my memory is correct?) and the serve-your-own drink area looked a little sloppy. I will probably be back since it is convenient for me and I enjoyed the food.

Great bagels... probably the best I've had.. was there at 8 was out by 8:01... the bagel is very tasty with a ton of cream cheese. Will definitely be back.

Yes yes yes! One of the best in the area! I am from NY and some of the closer ones I've had to back home ALSO they have gluten free bagels. I recently was diagnosed with celiacs and I am so happy they have GF bagels. Will definitely be returning!

This brand now has 3-4 locations in the Lake Norman area and have most recently taken root in the Harris Teeter shopping center in Davidson. It's your typical NY Bagel spot that serves Bagels, Flagels, Breakfast Sandwiches, and a limited variety of Pastries. If you're like me you're probably in the dark on what a "Flagel" is. It's a FLAT bagel! Apparently between boiling and baking, they flatten it, which for flavor makes sense: more surface to mass equals more browning and a crisper exterior. Sounds cool but the Flagel for me will have to wait until next visit. Today I was seeking out ol' reliable: Asiago Bagel with House Cream Cheese. House Cream Cheese mainly consists of Bacon and Scallion which are two of my favorite flavors on the planet. Real quick note before I talk about what I got and that's what you shouldn't get. The strawberry cream cheese they have here is the exact same 'very fake' pink color that they have at the Huntersville location. Sorry, it just isn't good and has an almost synthetic taste. Just a word of caution before you get it thinking it's going to be a genuine strawberry cream cheese. The Asiago on the bagel gives it a crunchy 'shell' and everything in the House cream cheese complimented the cheese nicely. For three dollars, you're getting quite a bit of food in a nice handheld package so I'm definitely a fan. Between the good food, clean shop, and affordable prices, Davidson's newest bagel spot gets thumbs up from me! I say, give 'em a WHIRL!

...trust me, you'll be glad you brought cutlery

blah blah blan New York blah blah blah... you know they gotta be OK because half the people love 'em, half the people curse 'em, and half the people don't care if the bagel is "authentic" (please do the fingers thing) they just want their sandwich wrapped in bagely goodness :-) Was just past midday and I was looking for a little something to carry me to dinner and wound up here. Lots of options in the case and plenty of suggestions on how to assemble it on the boards overhead but I wasn't looking for that kind of excitement. Asked for cinnamon raisin with scallion schmeer and more coffee. Got a number, got my coffee, got comfortable waiting for my genuine simulated New York-style treat. Came out all toasty and warm and the schmeer squished out the sides when I bit into it so I decided to enjoy the interplay of raisiny sweetness and sharp scallion-ocity open face; laid it out on the tray liner and redeployed the filling as topping. yea creamy cheese!

What an AWESOME Cuban Sandwich I just ate! I moved here from Miami so this is not my first and certainly won't be my last at this bright, clean new restaurant in Davidson! Easy to get to and easy to park it is located in the plaza of Harris Teeter. Only thing holding me back from a 5 is no Unsweetened tea. Sounds petty perhaps, but I don't do sugary drinks and it's a nice option to have, especially when you have just about everything else! I'll be back, I'll just bring my drink with me!

These guys recreated my FAVORITE college sandwhich and honestly, it was amazing. Meet The Egg Bomb: A BLT on a bagel with a friend egg and lite mayo. HEAVEN. Perfect hangover food and these guys nailed it. After eating one I immediately felt like I'd been brought back to life. I credit Eggs Up Grill in Conway, SC for inventing it and Original NY Bagel for recreating it. Thank you so so much.

Bagels were hard - either not fresh or just hard. Service was okay. Ambiance was so-so. Have had much better bagels.

New York Bagels has the best Cubano hands down. I have tried many places. The Cubano at NY Bagels is my favorite.

Good bagels with a bit of a chew. I would recommend the extra drive if looking for non-grocery bagels.

Visiting from out of town so I wanted to try a local coffee place. The rating and the name sounded encouraging. Only one person working so the line to order was long. We asked for the egg sandwiches featured prominently on a sign at the entrance ... and they were not available. In fact, the bakery case was nearly empty. At 8:30 a.m. The woman behind the counter suggested two of their breakfast croissants. We asked to have them heated. After a, no kidding, 10 minute wait she let us know that she had broken the oven. So we asked for them cold because we needed to go. They were dreadful. Tossed mine. And in a wonderful display of irony, even their large screen television menu failed while we were in the room. I will say that the coffee was perfectly serviceable. Experiences like this are why people go to chains like Starbucks for coffee and breakfast. I would say I want my tip back, but I suspect she is so frazzled that she earned it and then some. Absolute disaster. I hope our experience was a one off.

I don't throw those words around lightly. I'm a breakfast professional. I've traveled. I've eaten. I've sacrificed stretchy waistbands for less. First of all Kayla J. Service? VIP. Celebrity status. I felt like I walked in with a security detail. The way she checked on us? I thought she was about to hand me a Grammy. Attentive, friendly, and faster than my metabolism trying to survive those portions. Now let's talk FOOD. The corned beef hash with potatoes and eggs? My goodness. The eggs were perfectly cooked -- that yolk broke open like it had something to prove. The corned beef? Crispy, juicy, seasoned like somebody's grandma was back there supervising the kitchen. The potatoes? Golden. Crunchy. Faith restored. And these portions?? They don't believe in small plates here. They believe in "Cancel your lunch plans" plates. I wasn't eating breakfast... I was entering a commitment. You know it's serious when you're halfway through and start negotiating with yourself: "Alright... one more bite... for America." And don't even get me started on the pancakes. Fluffy like they were trained in altitude. Powdered sugar falling like breakfast confetti. Absolute madness. Famous Toastery in Davidson isn't just breakfast it's a spiritual experience with syrup. 10/10. Would return. Would loosen belt again. If you're anywhere near Davidson and not eating here... you're playing yourself.
