We've ordered from here about 3 times and I ordered the same entree every time (with a variety of sides) and my entree was tasty every single time! I ordered the chicken kebab sandwich and it is flavorful, tastes fresh, and it's not a skimpy. You do get a choice of the type of bread you want, I went with pita. Consistency is so important in restaurants and In so happy that this sandwich hit the mark every single time. We also have tried the pink sultan (beets/yogurt spread) and the baba ghanoush. Both are really good. I'm looking forward to going back and trying the doner and other sides! Service is friendly. We dropped in here to try them for a weekday lunch. It was 1pm, and we were the only patrons until about the time we left. Given their high ratings and thus our expectations, we ended up having but a meh, ok lunch. The wife and I split a lunch special combination plate ($17) and a bowl of lentil soup ($8). Complimentary bread was provided. The lentil soup was a bit watered down. The combo plate content was an average value but it was disappointing mainly as it wasn't hot, and everything was barely lukewarm. Ali was our friendly and gregarious server, hails from Istanbul, and has only been there a few weeks. There's a 2% credit card charge, so I just paid cash. Although it is situated in the corner of a strip mall, once you step inside, you would never know that you were in a strip mall. The decor is nice and exhibits some cutlltural pieces like their coffees and tea as well as some art work on their walls. When it comes to service, their host educated me on Turkish food, how it is prepared and their health benefits as well as the difference between their cuisine and other Mediterranean cuisines. Came in for a weekday dinner around 6pm and the place was not that busy. By the end of the evening it a good amount of the tables did fill up. We ordered a couple of appetizers, a shared mixed plate of meats and then they brought us out a dessert of rice pudding the share. The food was delicious, very comparable to a place further out west and not as close to the North suburbs. The appetizers were good sized, the beets dip and the falafel. My favorite app was the pizza type dish, very tasty and vest eaten with the add ins they give you to put on top of it. The beet dip was tasty and came with bread to dip in. The bread here was more dense than what I have had before, but I enjoyed it. The main we ordered to share was perfect with a selection of all the variety of meats. 04/20/25 - My wife & I were able to find Cappadocia Mediterranean Grill a great Turkish restaurant on Waukegan Ave in Morton Grove. My wife ordered a chicken shawarma on a thick pita bread w/red onions & cilantro & a mint yogurt sauce. I ordered the Kofte Kebab - Ground lamb and beef mixed w/Turkish herbs & spices grilled over an open flame. My dish also came w/a salad, rice w/garbanzo beans & a mint yogurt sauce. Nicely designed interior space w/some beautiful photos of Cappadocia that have fueled my desire to go to Turkey. Cappadocia is an area in Turkey about 732km or 455 miles from Istanbul. Cappadocia is known for its unique moon like structures, cone shaped hills & underground caves & hot air balloons. This place is TERRIBLE! The service and scams on the menu are ridiculous. They make up the rules for ppl who aren't of their nationality and don't speak their language!! They force the purchase of more expensive meals based on who you are! I took my mother here for a late lunch one day. Tried to order the mixed grill lunch plate. Was told I couldn't order that bc it was "too late"! Nowhere on the menu was there times stated for the lunch menu. My friend and I came for lunch for the first time. We were greeted by our waiter, Burak, and he explained about their menu. We ordered Ezme as appetizers to share, I ordered Chicken sandwich and my friend ordered Kebab platter. Ezme has a lot of flavors, a bit spicy but not too much, and the bread which came with it was so soft and delicious! Chicken sandwich was also very delicious, w/ fresh ingredients. When I asked Burak for some ketchup for the fries, he brought it right away with another homemade sauce which we absolutely loved! So flavorful! My lamb kebab sandwich was okay but it had too much red onion and the pita was stiff like it wasn't fresh. The falafel was very, very dense but tasted okay. The hummus was one of the worst I've had. No lemon juice, garlic or salt that I could detect. Also, isn't Turkish hummus made with yogurt? I don't know but the consistency or taste didn't seem like it had yogurt. It was just so bland. I had to add a lot of lemon juice and salt to make this edible. Unfortunately, I don't think I recommend this place. read more

We had the BEST dinner tonight at this beautifully decorated, comfortable restaurant off the beaten path. The Mediterranean sea bass, which was big enough for us to share, was so meaty and succulent. Their take on baba ganoush (garlicky and a bit chunky) was superb. Our server was so friendly and helpful. He even gave us a free baklava dessert. Randomly came across this new place and were quite pleased. I'd recommend the lentil soup as a starter and the mixed grill (fir sharing) as entrees. The kofte and doner were particularly good. And Turish tea, plus rice pudding and Kazan Dibi (which comes with ice cream on top) for dessert. My entire family, including pir young kids, liked the food.
