Come here lots, but first time trying the spinach pies. I like spinach pies but never had any so light, crispy, fresh and amazing like these. I had the lentil soup and the spinach pies- fantastic and do good. I highly recommend.

This place is fire. Friendly service, cozy ambiance, and delicious food. I got the lunch combination, and I cleaned my plate. The meats were cooked perfectly!

Came in for a weekday dinner around 6pm and the place was not that busy. By the end of the evening it a good amount of the tables did fill up. We ordered a couple of appetizers, a shared mixed plate of meats and then they brought us out a dessert of rice pudding the share. The food was delicious, very comparable to a place further out west and not as close to the North suburbs. The appetizers were good sized, the beets dip and the falafel. My favorite app was the pizza type dish, very tasty and vest eaten with the add ins they give you to put on top of it. The beet dip was tasty and came with bread to dip in. The bread here was more dense than what I have had before, but I enjoyed it. The main we ordered to share was perfect with a selection of all the variety of meats. They were tasty and perfectly cooked, not over done. Like a lot of Turkish places the hospitality was great with rice pudding given to us at the end, on the house as well as tea.

04/20/25 - My wife & I were able to find Cappadocia Mediterranean Grill a great Turkish restaurant on Waukegan Ave in Morton Grove. My wife ordered a chicken shawarma on a thick pita bread w/red onions & cilantro & a mint yogurt sauce. I ordered the Kofte Kebab - Ground lamb and beef mixed w/Turkish herbs & spices grilled over an open flame. My dish also came w/a salad, rice w/garbanzo beans & a mint yogurt sauce. Nicely designed interior space w/some beautiful photos of Cappadocia that have fueled my desire to go to Turkey. Cappadocia is an area in Turkey about 732km or 455 miles from Istanbul. Cappadocia is known for its unique moon like structures, cone shaped hills & underground caves & hot air balloons. Both Istanbul & Cappadocia are on my bucket list for places I will go to in the near future

Visiting family and came here for lunch. I really enjoyed the grape leaves and tea. Falafel wrap was also very good. Decent price and filling. Quiet and clean restaurant with quick and courteous service. We would return.

Great gem Turkish restaurant in Morton grove , close to Niles , Glenview and Park Ridge. Service was excellent , food is out of this world. Always fresh and flavorful. We ordered cheese pide with sujuk , Turkish sausage. Also an entree of beef kebab. Enjoyed throughly. Will definitely go again , must try. Cozy ambiance , nice for a date or family dinner. P.s they have halal meats, please call ahead to confirm.

My friend and I came for lunch for the first time. We were greeted by our waiter, Burak, and he explained about their menu. We ordered Ezme as appetizers to share, I ordered Chicken sandwich and my friend ordered Kebab platter. Ezme has a lot of flavors, a bit spicy but not too much, and the bread which came with it was so soft and delicious! Chicken sandwich was also very delicious, w/ fresh ingredients. When I asked Burak for some ketchup for the fries, he brought it right away with another homemade sauce which we absolutely loved! So flavorful! We finished our lunch with baklava with Turkish coffee. Perfect combination! Great food and great service. I'll definitely come back!

This was my first visit. I was just driving through. What a find. The server was wonderful and very helpful in selecting dishes. I had the lunch baked eggplant and the lentil soup. It was all delicious. I ordered rice pudding for dessert and he served me Turkish tea. Definitely worth a stop. 5 stars all the way.

Cappadocia in central Turkey is a fairytale land of caves, fairy chimneys and hot air balloons while Cappadocia Mediterranean Grill is in a somewhat nondescript strip mall off Waukegan offering Turkish and Mediterranean favorites. My vegetarian combination plate had an assortment of hummus, eggplant and ezme (tomatoes, bell peppers and walnuts) dips, with falafel. I am not a big fan of falafel but these were some of the tastiest falafel I've had. Along with the pita, this really was enough but of course I ordered a Greek Salad too. The salad was fresh and tasty and topped with lots of feta. The portions were very generous. The service is friendly, the food is delicious and plentiful, the dining room is rather spartan, though if you are here for Turkish and Mediterranean dishes, you have come to the right Cappadocia.

Absolutely splendid! We got the Adana Kebob dish (lamb) and Imam Bayildi (roasted stuffed eggplants). Both were delicious. Excellent flavor and perfect portion size. The restaurant area is very family-friendly, spacious, and quiet. Highly recommend.

I came to Cappadocia in a salty mood. I was hungry and didn't have a lot of patience. The host/waiter greeted me with a smile, explained the dishes, and answered my questions. He brought me hot pepper flakes to spice up the lentil soup, which wasn't too watery. The chicken breast and Shepards salad was exactly what I was looking for: protein and vegetables. Overall, I enjoyed the food and service. I'll certainly come back.

    Justine K.

The food was amazing. Service was outstanding she gave us a free rice pudding and free starter. The place was small but very clean. Great for a quick lunch or dinner. Delicious food . Highly recommend the eggplant!

I've eaten at a lot of Turkish restaurants in the Chicago area and this was by far the best. The breads were very good, the lahmacun unparalleled and the Adana kebop among the best as well. I highly recommend it.

The eggplant is light and the sauce that is drenched on top is perfect to balance the fried crispy exterior. Next I ordered Samsa, Plov, and lamb kurdock. My husband ordered the beef rib and mash potatoes. Not the most Kyrgyz but he did try everything and loved it all! If you want a taste of central Asian cuisine please come to Jibek Jolu! He wasn't very helpful unfortunately other than naming some appetizers that we tried, though these came after some of our entrees came out. It was also very difficult to get water and refills on water but other than that we loved our experience. We over ordered because again, we were not aware of how big the portions would be and our waiter wasn't very informative: Carrot salad- even as a side this was a big portion to share with delicious light Asian flavors Jibek jolu salad- another great shareable with a tasty dressing and cuts of tender beef Khachapuri- one of the recommended apps, also a big portion to share though we didn't know what to do with the raw egg that came on the side. After flagging someone down to help us, we discovered that this was a delicious cheesy bread with egg mixed in. Crispy eggplant- another recommended app which was delicious and sweet Lamb kurdock- I didn't love this dish it was kind of dry and lacking in flavor but huge with lots of potatoes and veggies Combo skewers- so much meat that was all very tender and flavorful, though it came on one thin soggy tortilla. It would have been nice to have more tortillas on the side to make a wrap. I also tried the chicken tabaka, and this was delicious with a curry flavor. Overall, most dishes were so delicious, but it was a bit of a learning curve on how to order and what to expect.

I took half home because it was a lot for me. My hubby had the shawarma sandwich, but I don't have a photo because he ate it right away. He said something about the onions that made it taste so good with that bread. We also bought more bread to bring home. We will go back soon. Our waitress was very polite. I've since visited the Niles location several times. The food has always been consistently excellent, but unfortunately the service has never matched the quality of the kitchen. Today's visit was by far the worst. It took over 10 minutes for our server to come to the table to take our order. Throughout the meal, I had to repeatedly flag her down whenever we needed something. To make matters worse, she seemed to disappear halfway through dinner--I'm assuming she clocked out--because we had to get another server's attention just to receive basic assistance. The food, however, was fantastic. I ordered the Al Bawadi Seafood Mixed Grill, and it absolutely delivered. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. That's what makes this so frustrating. This restaurant serves some of the best Middle Eastern food in the area, but when you're paying premium prices, you expect service that matches the quality of the food. Crispy, cheesy, garlicky. Need I say more? Get some extra garlic on the side if you wanna take it up a notch. Fried halloumi: 4/5. These are like a soft mozzarella stick, so tasty. Definitely eat the pickles with them. Lamb chops: 4.5/5. 4 tender lamb chops seasoned beautifully. Definitely recommend the red rice over the yellow if you can handle a little bit of heat. Kanafeh: 5/5. Whoever thought that cheese, sweet syrup, phyllo, and pistachios would go together is a genius. Definitely don't leave without getting this dessert. Now I have eaten at a lot of Mediteranean restaurants over the years & just like every other food type there are some great place, good places & mediocre places. Larsa's definitely rates in the great range. Their food is delicious. In the past people, myself included used Pita Inn as a benchmark, but that's mainly because in the beginning there wasn't much to compare to. I have been trying different Mediteranean restaurants and Larsa's left PI in the rear view mirror. You can't even begin to compare the food at Larsa's to the former as the ingredients and flavors are far superior. Sure the cost is a little more, but there is absolutely no comparison as Larsa's food is far superior everything is made individually and not an assembly line production We started with a cup of lentil soup. I was like a starving animal savoring every bit of that soup. I should have gotten a bowl as it was delicious. Our server Nadia also brought out a regular serving of the jalapeño & cilantro hummus served w/warm thin pita bread. OMG this was like heaven. My sister mentioned that she could make a meal out just the hummus and the pita and I agree. Next we had the Fatoush Salad this has crispy pita crust, lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, radishes, green peppers w/a dressing with olive oil, lemon & sumac. This was just ok, but I liked the crispy pita bread it added a nice crunch. We split a combo platter as the portion size is very generous. This dish comes w/chicken kabobs, beef kifta, beef shawarma, red onions, tomatoes slices & basmati long grain rice. The kifta & chicken kabobs were both very tasty, it they were a little dry. The beef shawarma was cooked & seasoned perfectly as the pieces just melted in my mouth. Every once in awhile our server Nadia came by and was very helpful in telling us about dishes we had questions about. She was super cool and friendly. There was another server that was also very helpful, but we didn't catch her name. Sometimes you go to a restaurant that everyone raves about and you think ehhh what the big deal, but this isn't the case w/Larsa's. I will definitely be back again.
