I used to live in the neighborhood and this was my favorite place to go. I have since moved out of the neighborhood but every time I'm in the neighborhood I make sure and go and get myself a plate. Ah, the joys of jury duty! Last week, I was stuck at the courthouse for several days for jury selection. On Monday, I took a short walk on our lunch break looking for something to eat. I smelled Sultan's grill before I saw what it was, and it smelled WONDERFUL. I popped in and ordered the gyro combo. Maybe I ordered wrong, but I thought I was ordering an actual gyro sandwich/wrap. What I got was gyro meat, a side salad, and fries, with a pita. The gyro meat was good, and there was a lot of it (I know in the picture it doesn't look like a lot, but there was a lot of meat under the fries.), but the pita was dry, there wasn't a lot of tzatziki, and I was really bummed out that it wasn't an actual sandwich. The fries were absolutely delicious though. I enjoyed my meal, but I don't feel that it was $15 good. I would eat here again if I was stuck at the courthouse again, but I definitely wouldn't go out of my way to come here otherwise. read more

This place sucks. I pre-ordered through Grubhub for a pick up at noon. When I show up, my order wasn't ready. I'm then told their tablet doesn't work so they didn't get my order or payment and I'll have to cancel it on my end. No offer to ring me up right there and make my order real quick (as I felt they should since this was an error on their part). So I went without lunch. On top of that Grubhub refunds in 5-8 business days so I'm without that money for a week. Which isn't a big deal it's just the principle of it. Unfortunately they're one of the very few restaurants in the area for us who work at the courthouse to choose from. I won't be returning or recommending their business to others. The order was made pretty quickly and looked pretty darn good. The Falafel was a little dry for my liking, as was parts of the rice (Some of the rice was moist and fluffy, some was dry and crunchy). The Pita bread was spot on, and made me wish I had ordered the hummus. The side salad was your standard fair, but the veggies were crisp and crunchy, and the house vinaigrette was bomb. We had one, but he didn't come back to work, and you will have to contact Postmates." We have ordered from this location for years, and the service is getting worse and worse. I've lived in las vegas for 13yrs and I love Mediterranean food and this has been the worst. Can you say AWESOME.... This place gets really crowded at lunch time but I have to say being here on this day, even with a lunch crowd, the line sometimes being almost out the door, everyone behind the counter had great attitudes, they were able to work hard and find time to be friendly. Its amazing the quality of service here that everyone seemed very calm and worked through each order even though the line never seemed to end. You can tell they really enjoy their job and they take a LOT of pride in the products they put out. I met my daughter for lunch, the had a chicken lemon soup which was extremely tasty and left me wanting more when I was done. I also had a Gyro which was really good. They have an amazing menu with a great selection and even though this is my first review, I have been here a few times and really like not only the food here but the friendliness of the staff. They are glad to see you and they put that love into the food the deliver. If you are in the area, this is a place you have to try...ITS A MUST... I highly recommend this place and I will definitely be back...I find it pretty easy to get to, there is a parking garage with valet parking right next to the place. It is downtown so you know parking is limited and you most likely have to pay to park being the area but don't let that deter you, this place is worth coming to. read more

On days that I don't pack my lunch Sultan's has become my go to. Their beef shawarma plate with choice of rice or fries is $9.99 and comes with a drink, refillable if you are eating in. I tend to order that or the salad version. It can get a little busy if you go at the height of lunch time and I have found that calling ahead can be hit or miss. They do a punch card but that is only applicable to wraps. The food is good and the serving size is more than fair for the price, and it's always nice to have another downtown option that is fairly healthy. read more

It's my local greek place and I'm glad it's here. The gyro was not overstuffed with lettuce and had plenty of meat. The flavors weren't overwhelming and it was just delicious. The fries were chunky and cooked just right. The price is right about what you'd expect. I'm a picky eater so I won't try many things from the menu, but the gyro I will always have. The staff is extremely friendly and I immediately felt as if we were good friends when I'd never met anyone. I appreciate that from a neighborhood restaurant. First, they put the entire salad in a small 5 x 5 container, didn't add the dressing nor was it in my bag. That would be tolerable if it wasn't for the OLD, dried up gyro meat they added in top. This small downtown eatery is hidden away in an unassuming space shared with Danna's Caribbean Grill (another choice find!). I had a Greek salad with gyro meat, which was one of their $8.99 lunch specials (served with pita bread and a drink). This was much more than a traditional Greek salad, with additional toppings of beets, chickpeas, and the aforementioned meat. I had never added meat to a Greek salad before, but now that I've discovered what I was missing, I don't think I'll ever go back. And this was some of the best gyro meat I have ever had--tender and spicy--so I'm sure the gyros themselves are fantastic, too. Happily, I have just found another of downtown Las Vegas' hidden gems. I love Mediterranean food and I'm always hoping to find a new gem. When first walking into the cafe it seems like a food court type place sharing the space with a chines taco shop. The menu has many options including hamburgers and hot dogs. I opted for the chicken shawarma sandwich combo for $10. The chicken was well marinated, tender, and the sauce (I assume yogurt sauce) was very good. My combo came with crisp thick cut fries that were very well seasoned. My daughter had the falafel sandwich combo. The portions are on the larger scale as we both were not able to finish our whole meal. The parking is very difficult if you're trying to stop in on a lunch break and you don't work at the courthouse. We were lucky enough to find a spot around the corner. I suppose you could pay for valet $4 for 30 minutes. I would recommend a meal delivery service to avoid the parking stress.
