We tried the steak shawarma bowls and the gentleman assisting us was fast and so friendly! Note It is a casual dining experience. A few tables or bar window seats in a brightly lit room. You order at the counter and they add the toppings (like a sandwich shop) we like everything, so we had a really nice salad added to our bowl with all the veggies. We also ordered a 'up charge' item of baba gahnoosh, that comes with hot pita bread, that is so worth it. We also added a green and a red hot sauce, too, both were to die for. Yum! I always get either a falafel wrap or baguette (someday I'll get a basmati bowl), and it's always top notch. You start by telling them what protein you would like and in what form, and then go down the line adding what you'd like (in my case it's always hummus, spicy jalapeno spread, salad, cucumbers, sumac onions, parsley, and tzatziki sauce). I have *NEVER* been disappointed with my food from this place. Recently, I have met a staff member who has enhanced my visit every single time I've been there, even though I'm only popping in to get a to go order. Naz is the epitome of hospitality. Always full of energy with a smile on his face and greeting every customer in a welcoming fashion. It's safe to say that Naz truly enjoys making people's day better, and he's good at it. Amazing food, friendly staff, and the portion sizes are two meals worth. We got salad bowls, with warmed pita, and a pistachio cupcake and the price was $32 before tips. I was looking forward to trying this spot for a late lunch but was not impressed at all with the quality. I ordered the chicken shawarma basmati rice bowl with cucumbers, tomatoes and chickpeas added on top + tahini on the side. The bowl looked amazing but the flavor was mid (for lack of a better term..). I'm not sure if the chicken shawarma is supposed to be hot or even somewhat warm from sitting near the grill all day but it was cold. I'm also not a fan of casually chewing bones in my meals and didn't appreciate that my first two bites of my bowl had bones in it. FWIW, the side of tahini tasted good and the pita as well - although that was cold too (not sure if the pita or rice is warmed/warm when serving). If other locations exist, I might try another and a different protein option that is truly fresh + made to order. The vibe inside here wasn't my favorite.. it might just be the location it's at and customers it attracts but I probably won't be back. That, the humus (meh), and 6-piece felafel was more than enough food for the two of us to share. Took the leftover humus home. I'll doctor it with a little lemon juice. Service is friendly. Basically you point at whatever you want your protein and rice topped with. Nice and cool inside. I had heard good things about this place, especially for their vegetarian options so I was excited to try it. It was a little disappointing, but I have gone back several times as it wasn't awful. I ordered the falafel pita, but unfortunately it comes on lavash bread which is more like a tortilla than a pita. The baguette option is more my style and I love the taste and flavor of the falafel, but not many toppings. I am also not a fan of feta and I always request fries without it, but they hardly ever make it that way so I end up removing it. The portions are also great. This last time I went though, I was super put off by the customer service of the guy helping me (Alan). I don't know if he was having a bad day, but my suspicion is he's always having a bad day. He asked me questions like he couldn't be bothered and I felt like I was wasting his time. At one point he slopped my chicken curry in the tin bowl like he was serving a prison inmate. I'm surprised he didn't just out right roll his eyes at me. Super strange and very uncalled for. Decided to try out this place last night. At first I was excited to try the food. But the whole experience kind of annoyed me a bit. I wanted the grilled chicken and they said it would take 15 min to cook. Yet they were quick to ask me how I wanted my bowl and started putting the toppings on it. But come to find out it was for my BF plate instead of mine.. So I ended up choosing his toppings thinking it was mine. Then when it was time to pay, the cashier was too busy counting her cash and 3 people were in line just waiting and we were not even acknowledged. Then after we paid for both meals, I still had to wait for my chicken skewer to be done. By the time I went to get my food, My BF had already eaten half of his food and they still wanted charge me a $1 for olives.. COME ON! Get it together. My husband ordered some steak, which I think took an extra 10 minutes or so but they had a nice sign saying that if you ordered that particular meal, it would be a little longer. I ordered I think it was called a veggie bowl and it was so good. The tabouli salad, hummus and other fresh ingredients were super tasty. The portion was huge and we left the restaurant feeling like we had eaten a very healthy meal. We also tried one of their desserts. Ahh! What an experience. Ordered food for 6pm, finally received it at 6:25pm after 30 minutes of waiting. We have an event and the break for food was 6:30-7pm. I got back to the event at 6:45pm. I originally told the crew I would share a positive review and mention them by name since they try to make the experience better by giving me 4 baklava (somehow for 12 people to share). Now after seeing the food we got, I'm going to do them a favor by not mentioning them by name. We order from the location on Pecos and Sunset weekly, it's always done within 10 minutes, and it's always done correctly. Today, at the trop and Decatur location, our salad was missing most of the ingredients; we just got 2 large bins of lettuce. We were also missing the salt, pepper, oil, lemon juice, green sauce and red sauce. If they were busy, I'd understand. But when we buy catering to feed 12 people, I'd like to think there's a priority attention given to making our food. read more

It's set-up similar to Chipotle in that you choose what type of meat you want and if you want it as a plate, bowl, wrap, etc. and you continue down the line telling them which ingredients you'd like to have. I absolutely love this concept for Mediterranean food. I had a plate with Steak Shawarma, rice, & salad topped with cucumber, tomato, chickpeas, and feta cheese with pita on the side. There were a few fatty pieces of meat, but overall this was all very fresh & delicious and the portion was HUGE; saved half for a very filling lunch the next day. Also, hands down the best pita we've had around town. My husband had a Chicken Shawarma wrap with hummus; it was a very big portion also and he said it was delicious. Ambiance was cozy, yet modern. I liked the choice of tables/chairs and the plants around the space. The 2 gender neutral restrooms were also clean and cutely decorated. I really liked Parsley and we'll definitely be back again. Customer service is extremely important to me when I visit any restaurant or food place. This place has really great food, but what made my experience horrible was the service from the individual making our salads. We ordered two salads, and they added the smallest drip of sauce on top. So, I asked if I could have salsa on the side. She didn't say anything, I was ignored and when checking out, she placed the salsa in the bag with a huge attitude. I then asked if I could have two since I had two salads, and she gave me the dirtiest look and started nodding her head no. I was so confused and embarrassed as I had no idea why she was acting that way. She then told me that I already had salsa in my salad and that if I wanted one on the side, I needed to pay for it. I was so embarrassed as there were a lot of people who saw that. I'm sorry, but the fact that I paid $42 for two salads and I'm being given attitude over the tiniest container of salsa?
