Istanbul Mediterranean is in some outdoor plaza shopping area right on the strip. Several food vendors and shops in this area, most reasonably priced for Vegas anyway. Food here is good and priced reasonable (again for the strip). Order at the window and they call you when it is done. There are a few tables that you can eat at but not many. You get a lot of food here and this is one of the better places to eat in this area. Tried the hummus, beef and lamb pita, and some other Turkish pita that I forgot the name of. All very good. We were walking through this nice outdoor plaza area one day and we noticed this place. We decided we couldn't leave vegas without trying it! On our last day in vegas we came back. This is a small place with a window to order and pay. They have the menu showing on the front and you can see the staff preparing the food as it is glass. We decided to order stuffed grape leaves to share and a pita sandwich each. I ordered the beef and lamb one and added the sauce and feta cheese. There are a couple of tables in front where you can sit but they are first come first serve and shared with other businesses. The food came out relatively quick. NOTE: There are no dedicated tables and chairs, there are some tables and chairs but its first come first served. You have to be like the pigeons and swoop down and grab a table as customers are leaving or take your order and find somewhere to sit. I was fortunate to takeover a table and enjoy my lunch. It was deli deli delicious. The pita was as big as the Bosphorus Bridge that connects the European Istanbul with the Asian Istanbul. My hummus was tremendously delicious. Chicken Döner (Shawarma) Lavash Wrap - 3/5 It was fine, but bland, even though I ordered one with chili sauce. The wrap itself wasn't bad, and the chicken was tender, but it wasn't seasoned well--too light, too plain. A bit of a letdown. When they prepared the food, they placed foil on the table, put bread on it, then added the meat and other toppings, followed by another piece of bread, and wrapped everything with the foil. Afterwards, they put the food in a panini-press-like machine to warm it. The problem was that they didn't heat it long enough, maybe because too many people were waiting. They let you choose what type of dish, protein, veggies, and sauce (2 sauces) you want. I got the french fry bowl with combination meat with the house sauce and chilli sauce and it was amazing. I once knew this couple that lived in Austin, TX but now live in Las Vegas and they recommended some places to eat in Vegas on their YouTube Channel . The one that I really enjoyed was the Istanbul Mediterranean Grill which is located in the Horseshoe Hotel/Casino Food Court. This venue does not have an eat-in option, take-out only. There was a bit of a line when I arrived but did not have to wait too long. I ordered a Beef and Lamb Shawarma and a Beef, Lamb, and Chicken Rice Bowl. I was able to watch them make my shawarma as well. They took this huge pita bread, laid it flat, then laid on the beef and lamb, topped everything with the veggie mix and white Tzatziki sauce, wrapped it up and then placed it in a sandwich press. It was about a foot long so they cut it in half for my convenience. The Rice Bowl with shaved beef, lamb, and chicken served over a very flavorful yellow seasoned rice topped with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, parley mix and pickles and White Tzatziki sauce, a cucumber yogurt, very tasty.
