I love this place!! I tell all of my friends about and I've even taken friends out to lunch/dinner there. My treat. Lol The staff is always friendly and inviting. I can't tell you how many times I've said "I'll have to try that next time" and they'll just give me a sample without any prompting. They just like to make the customer's happy. I'm a very big hummus and pita fan so this place is heaven for me. If you like spicy food, by the way, asked them to put a layer of Chutney on top of your hummus. It's a deliciously spicy little dish that compliments the toasty, flavorful pita bread. The meals, especially for the price, are more than generous portions. If you want a little more too, just ask them to add it. They'll happily make the entrée to your specific liking. I can't say enough good things about this place. Get this too, they offered a 10% discount on all items during the month of December as a holiday gift to their customers. How many places do that on EVERYTHING, even during their slow seasons? I came here with my sister when they had recently opened and LOVED it. I was in town from California for work and could not get enough of the Chicken Schawrma! I was in town again a few weeks ago with a co-worker and we decided to come here. When I walked it, the gentlemen working there remembered me! He remembered where I was from, what work I do in Lincoln, and even my sister. The gentlemen was so kind and energetic. Incredible service! I had the falafel this time and it was to die for! I've been to Sultan's Kite about a half-dozen times now, and I love it each time. I'm a huge fan of the Chicken Tikka Korma, but the the falafel and gyro meat is great, too. You get to choose your base (rice, salad, pita, etc), your meat, and toppings, so it comes out how you want it. Fantastic!!! The lentil soup was "amazing" according to my 9 year old daughter! She really didn't want to try anything new and after we insisted she said she "wasn't going to eat anything." :) reluctantly ordering the soup was her big compromise. This is definitely one of my favorite eateries in Lincoln! The downtown location is cute and has a hole-in-the-wall vibe while the South Lincoln location is bright and spacious. There's a few sauces to pick from, as well as several meats and the falafel. I ALWAYS get the falafel meal with naan bread and with the green Tzatziki sauce - cannot recommend enough! Food is very affordably priced; it's very filling and runs only about $6.00 for a meal. The falafel is quite filling and only 50 cents a piece, and is great for both a meal or a snack. If you opt for a whole meal (gyro with naan or pita, or rice bowl with any meat) you can customize your vegetables. Portion sizes are absolutely perfect. They also have extras including lemon-fries, lentil soup, and baklava desserts. Every offering on the menu is good and you absolutely cannot go wrong! read more

I moved from Lincoln to North Carolina and I have to say this is the one restaurant I miss the most. Small menu, but AMAZING quality. I was a frequent customer for many years and I don't ever think I had a bad meal. It was consistently great. I even brought in relatives from out of town for my UNL graduation dinner (yes-we ate here as I needed one last fix) and guess what, they are still talking about how good their food was. Ive eaten at Sultan's Kite twice. Each time was with my family, and each time did not let us down. The selection might be smaller then some other restaurants, but everything my family and I tried was very good. I tend to be a creature of habit when ordering from restaurants, so even if there were a million options on the menu, I'd still probably order the same two things every time. The restaurant is small, but is very clean, and the people behind the counter have always been helpful and friendly. read more

I really like that it's a "walk-in, order at the counter, pay" kind of place cuz it makes it easy and quick. The man behind the counter was very nice and very helpful. The food was piping hot and fresh. The chicken tikki korma with rice was easily one of the best chicken dishes anytime ever. Went during the lunch rush. Line moved quickly Tried hummus, chicken schwarma, gyro, rice, naan and salad. Loved all but the hummus. Hummus was good but not as good as everything else.
