I ordered through Grubhub and did pick up. My order was ready promptly! I got the kebab sandwich and the mixed meat (lamb, chicken and  kefta kabob). The chicken was so tender! All the protein was flavored nicely. I liked the white and red sauce they gave. I got the curry rice. For the price, this is a really good value. I didn't dine in, but the booths have beautiful tile on the side and a pretty lamp above.

Went on a Wednesday around 6:30pm and there was no line. The food was 10/10. Ordered a falafel (vegan combination) dinner and my husband ordered a chicken shawarma dinner combination. We ordered a lentil soup as well. Everything tasted so fresh, like a home cooked meal. Portion sizes were big. The falafel was so crunchy. We will definitely be back!

one of the best chicken shawarmas - so tender, juicy, and flavorful!! I used their salad bar, which is $10.99/lb including meat which is such a good deal! I got a heaping bowl and pita on the side for $14 after tip and tax. The salad bar also has a great variety of items -- hummus, feta, roasted veggies, dolma, tuna salad, and more. My friend got the kefta kabob dinner which was a great portion with sides of hummus, tabbouleh salad, and pita, which she also loved. The quick service style of the restaurant made ordering easy and prep quick. The restaurant is also pretty spacious with booths for larger parties.

We randomly came across this place as we were waiting for doves Lunchonette and it was pleasantly SO good. I have to say one of the best foods I had in Chicago... We got the chicken plate and falafel gyro and were such a fan of both, especially with the price. Definitely recommend coming here!

Chicken Shawerma dinner w/half curry rice, half Tabuli and hummus, incl. side of garlic sauce & medium spice paste, w/an extra order of pita

This was a DoorDash order so I did not interact with any staff so I do not have a comment about the staff or the storefront. For lunch, I ordered a Chicken Shawerma dinner with half curry rice, half Tabuli and hummus, including a side of garlic sauce and medium-spice paste, and an order of pita. The chicken itself was good, albeit a little dry (at least for me). All of the sides tasted great and I was glad I ordered the pita to scoop up the delicious hummus! The medium-level of spice was perfect, enough heat to let you know it is there but not overwhelming. The amount of food was excellent for the price, I was full for the rest of the afternoon. This was my first time having middle eastern food and I was very pleased with what I ordered from Sultan's Market!

Been here several times and loved the food! They have a good selection of kebabs and sides such as tabouli, houmus, mujaddra and more. They also have a nice salad bar that has an assortment of veggies, pickled veggies , houmus, and even eggs. There is one thing I don't like is the rude attitude from the guy at the register. Sorry I said what I said! They have other locations so no problem with that!

I always thought this was more a supermarket than a restaurant. Apparently, I was wrong! They only have mini shelves like a grocery store. My dinner was really yummy!!! Prices were quite affordable, to my surprise. Baklava could be sweeter! Hubby's meat pie & egg and cheese pie were tasty as well. He was amazed that egg and cheese could be prepared as such (Sorry, no pics) . Staff was really helpful & knowledgeable. Service was efficient & really quick! Next time, I'll have to eat there. I feel like I missed the experience by taking my food home. Interior was organized & clean.

If i could rate sultans market 6/5 i would. Ive moved around chicago and the suburbs many times but ive come back here whenever im in the area. Always delicious. Good service, nice old booths to sit at and always interesting decor. Granted, i dont eat meat so i havent sampled the whole menu. But the rest of my family have never had a bad word to say about it! Their falafel is amazing! Nowadays they take card and electronic payment but i remember when they used to be cash only. The prices are a bit higher than before, too, but i dont knock that against them as everything is higher nowadays and they still give you a ton of food!

Dresscode: Smart Casual / Casual Noise Level: Medium (it gets buzzy after 5:30pm) Thursday night Happy Hour was lively, so it took about 10-15 minutes for someone to come around, but service was attentive once we got going. The food is where Ēma really shines. From the Happy Hour menu, the Charred Eggplant Hummus and Crispy Potatoes were generously portioned and great for sharing. On the main menu, the Indian-Mediterranean fusion Bhel Hummus was a party for my taste buds, while the Hot Honey Halloumi and Chicken Kefta rounded out the table nicely. The halloumi is more of a side than a main, but that sweet-and-salty hot honey combo was chef's kiss. For our finisher, the Chocolate Torte knocked us out. Decadent, delicious and chocolate with lots of depth. Overall, Ēma is an excellent spot to order a bunch of dishes for the table and get an elevated meal without feeling stuffy, and delicious without taking itself too seriously. DO's: - Make a reservation ahead, especially for happy hour 4-6pm - Treat apps like small plates, order 2-3 to sample - Entertain their wine list, they have a lot! - Bring vegetarians here, there are plenty of options DON'Ts: - Dismiss the desert menu. Enough to share with 2-3 people *Braised short rib sandwich - In a pita stuffed with cabbage. The beef was extremely tender. Unfortunately there was several large pieces of cabbage core vs shredded. The fries were crispy and seasoned with za'atar. The au jus provided, tasted it had a bit of red wine vinegar. That was a winner! Would order both items again. The decor is beautiful. Sat at the bar and the bartender wasn't in the best mood. Minus one star for the combination of the large pieces of cabbage core and sat at the bar for about 15 minutes - no one was there to serve us.

I called them because I wasn't sure if the online version would be too slow. We were a group of three that came in Saturday night at 7 pm. It was moderately busy. The staff were all welcoming with smiles on their faces and attentiveness. Prices were fair for the amount of food you receive. Food portions are colossal so I would recommend one appetizer and one entree if you are a couple. They give you a complimentary dish. We ordered arayes with meat, meat toshka, mixed grill with baba ghanouj, fillet of basa fried, and mint lemonade. They also offer you fresh Arabic coffee before you leave. This is about a 4.5-5. -arayes with meat 4 - this was not bad. It's like a tamer version of the meat toshka. -meat toshka 5 - I prefer this over the arayes because they add the Syrian cheese. This one was bursting with flavor the moment you took a bite out of it. The minced beef and lamb just melt in the mouth. -mixed grill 5 - this came with 3 big skewers (shish kabab, kufta kabab, and chicken tawook. It also has tomatoes and onions to help cut down the meat when digesting. There are two heaping portions of biryani and saffron rice and baba ghanouj. The baba ghanouj was creamy and flavorful. It goes well with the pita bread. The meats were cooked medium well unless you want something. I think next time I'll ask for the shish kababs to be cooked medium rare or medium for a more juicy taste. The chicken tawook and kufta were both succulent. -fillet of basa fried 5 - the two pieces of basa fillet were astronomical. It also comes with two different kinds of rice. The fish was flaky, moist, and seasoned. Make sure you add the lemon and eat it with the sauce. -mint lemonade 5 - this was very refreshing after eating a heavy meal.

The seats have no cushions so not comfortable to sit at for any long period of time. Staff was friendly and food came out very quickly, and waters filled. We ordered the small plate of hummus and large plate of pork shoulder. The hummus was delicious and came with with two large pita breads which were fluffy and freshly made. The pork shoulder (no bones) was very tender and a heavier dish but the sauce and vegetables in the dish were delicious. For two mildly hungry adults this was the perfect amount of food. We came here due to the Chase Sapphire Reserve tables credit. The pork shoulder was a bit pricey for the portions but it is a $$$ restaurant. But we thought the hummus was a great size for its price.
