Chicken shawarma with hummus and fries
    James Q.

I loved coming to this place. I came here at 5:00pm for my first meal of the day. The food and the portions revived me. I'll definitely be coming back. The service was great, and the environment is really fun on game days.

Place wasn't too crowded after a Cubs game which is surprising. The ambiance is very casual & the menu was pretty robust. I ordered a steak sandwich in pita and added on a side of fries and drink. Everything was delicious, but the side of fries was MASSIVE. They were the kind that you can eat hot or cold though which I appreciated later on in the evening.

I absolutely love this hidden gem in Wrigleyville! Their chicken shawarma is pure perfection. And they give you healthy portions too! So much YUM!

Bam bam! I ate here and it was so good it made me say damn damn! Zam Zam is definitely one of the best places for Middle Eastern and Mediterranean. Good stuff and big ass portions make up for the cost. There's a lot for vegans and vegetarians to check out. After running around all morning I needed some grub. I happened to be nearby. The cool name of the place caught my eye, so I gave it a try. Glad I did. They have several ordering options, including bowls, plates, and salads. I got the Veggie Plate. It's about $14, the only bad thing I can say. The price was high but there was a ton of food on this. For this plate, it comes with dolmanthes and falafel. There's baba ghannouch and hummus too. Also you get choices of sauces and sides. I got cucumber salad and tabbouli. Also you get pita bread. That's a lot. Boy, after all that food I needed to run around again. I could eat here every day and become a fatass. The prices luckily will keep that from happening thankfully.

    Beef Kafta with Rice Plate

Visiting a friend in town and she recommended Zam Zam down the road so I checked it out. The guy taking the order was very friendly and patient with me while I tried to figure out their vast menu. I ended up getting the beef kafta with rice plate. For $16 you get SO much food since it also comes with two sides (I picked hummus and baba ganoush) and 2 falafel, as well as two large pieces of pita. The kafta was alright but the falafel was super delicious with a crispy outside. The hummus and baba ganoush were also very delicious and I found myself eating them with everything. Overall - a great middle eastern place with huge portions for the price. Definitely recommend for a fresh bite.

Wow their food here is delicious!! It was my first time trying their food and I ordered the Chicken Kabob Rice Plate with Zam zam salad and Baba Ganouj as my sides. The food was amazing and the chicken was grilled perfectly with lots of flavor! I also enjoyed the refreshing zam zam salad. Everything was solid portion sizes as well. Can't wait to check out this place again!

This was different, but perfect meal after a great day watching the cubs win. The service was done with a smile and the entire crew seemed super friendly and helpful while we were making our choices. It was quaint and felt authentic and getting to people watch at the big windows was very enjoyable.

Terrible food taste and I was starving. The chix bowl was expensive and the cabbage and veggies were soggy and laden with salt.

Hi It’s a fine cut of tomato, cucumber, parsley with lemon juice and salt. Basically it’s like Jerusalem salad without tahini sauce.

Do you have gluten free options? Is the meat marinade safe?

Hi Only pita, wrap, spinach pies, tabulah, fries has gluten. Other than that is gluten free. Also Our employees are trained very well for this question. Please don’t…

Every meal we've had here has been fresh, flavorful, and made with care. You can truly taste the quality and tradition in every bite. The lamb shawarma is outstanding--perfectly seasoned, tender, and packed with incredible flavor. The chicken shawarma is just as delicious, juicy, and cooked to perfection. But the true star of the menu is the lentil soup. It is hands down the best lentil soup I've ever had--rich, comforting, full of flavor, and worth coming back for on its own. It deserves to be the #1 item on the menu! What makes this place even more special is the amazing customer service. The entire staff is welcoming, friendly, and professional, making every visit feel like you're dining with family. A huge shoutout to Ali, who consistently goes above and beyond to make every customer feel appreciated. His kindness, professionalism, and genuine hospitality are second to none. He takes the time to make sure everything is perfect, and his positive attitude truly elevates the entire dining experience. Whether you're stopping in for a quick lunch or picking up dinner, Taste of Lebanon never disappoints. The food is authentic, the prices are incredibly reasonable, and the service is exceptional. I highly recommend Taste of Lebanon to anyone in Chicago looking for some of the best Lebanese food in the city. Thank you, Ali and the entire team, for your outstanding hospitality. This place has all the staples you expect in Levant cuisine, and best of all, they do everything well! I love this place because it's no frills, inexpensive, quick, and SO GOOD. The hummus is fantastic, and the falafel is some of the best I've had, but my hands down favourite item is the Chicken Shwarma Wrap. That's the winner for me. The crew here was very accommodating with catering when we had a company event... and I watched a huge tray of wraps disappear in what seemed like minutes, so I can attest they were popular with our attendees. This place is truly are more than meets the eye.

Whether I'm grabbing a quick lunch or stopping in for dinner, the food has always been fresh, the service has been welcoming, and the overall experience has never disappointed. My order rarely changes because the patty melt is just that good. The burger is perfectly cooked with a flavorful sear, topped with melty cheese and caramelized onions that add just the right amount of sweetness. Everything comes together on a toasted sesame bun that's crisp on the outside while still soft enough to hold everything together. It's rich without being overly heavy, and every bite reminds me why I haven't felt the need to order anything else. The fries are equally deserving of praise. They're consistently served hot, crispy, and well-seasoned, with a fluffy interior that makes them impossible to stop eating. They taste like they're made fresh to order, and they're the perfect complement to the patty melt. I always tell myself I'll save a few for later, but that never seems to happen. Beyond the food, the staff has always been friendly, patient, and genuinely appreciative of their customers, which keeps me coming back just as much as the food. It's also in a convenient Uptown location that's easy to get to, making it a great option whether you're a local or just exploring the neighborhood. One thing I really appreciate is that Ragadan doesn't feel like it's chasing trends. Instead, it focuses on making high-quality food with unique Jordanian-inspired influences while still delivering familiar comfort food that anyone can enjoy. It's the kind of independent restaurant that's worth supporting because they consistently get the fundamentals right. I've recommended Ragadan to several friends, and it's become a place I don't hesitate to revisit whenever I'm craving a great burger. If it's your first time, do yourself a favor and order the patty melt with fries--you'll understand why it's become my standing order. It's one of Uptown's gems, and I'll definitely be back again.

What are the odds one restaurant can be a serious contender for the best falafel AND the best burgers in town? I've been there a few times and I'm in love with the ka'ak patty melt burger. Its not only melted cheese and grilled onions. It's bacon and jalapeño and za'ater mayonnaise. And it's two burgers. Served on an amazing sesame loaf. We split it and fries (also delicious with za'atar seasoning) and that was plenty.. But the onion burger is also pretty great. And you have to get the falafel. Also the onion rings. You may want to skip lunch. Ragadan has quickly become one of the first places I think of when we consider picking up dinner somewhere. We've eaten in, but there's not a lot of ambience. And even though they have a powerful space heater, the dining area is kind of cold in the winter. The kitchen is open though, so you end up interacting with the friendly staff. It's a bonus to see how clean they keep the kitchen.
