    Beef Shawarma Plate

I lived in Chicago ten years and always wanted to try this place. Sadly it took me moving away to finally give it a try! This place is a local gem: simple, quick, casual, but packed with flavor. The falafel is crispy crunchy and herby served with two sauces (the red is bright and spicy - my fav), and you can see that juicy shawarma rotating in the window as you pass. Though unassuming on the outside, this place serves yummy Lebanese food at high ROI. Of the two shawarma plates I tried, I fancy the beef, but I tend to lean beef. The chicken was clean and flavorful. The hummus is creamy and delicious and the plates are served with a balsamic fresh salad on the side. The guys behind the counter are working hard and if you're picking food up to-go, you're likely in and out of line with hot fresh food in under 10 minutes. Definitely a spot to try if you've never had shawarma or Falaffel, or need a quick bite while on your lunch break. Also wouldn't be a bad late night snacky

Had a wonderful meal at Falafel & Grill last week! I have walked past this place so many times and wanted to try it. So glad I did! We tried a large selection of menu items including chicken and beef shawarma wraps, hummus, falafel, and some waffles fries. The food was tasty overall and the portions were generous. We had enough leftovers for three of us to all take home a box. I also tried the mint lemonade which was fantastic. Next time I have to try the baklava. I enjoyed sitting outside on the patio area. Even though it's in a busy spot, the patio feels relaxed and secluded. Also, the staff here are so friendly and they were very attentive. They made sure our experience was 10/10.

Service was nice and quick. The chicken shawarma sandwich (3.5/5) was good, chicken was a little crispy. I just wish there was more of the sauce. They give a good amount of chicken which is nice! The baklava (5/5) was great and you can tell it's homemade in the best way.

Falafel & Grill is one of those lowkey spots you end up craving again the second you leave. The falafel is crispy on the outside, soft and herby inside, and everything tastes fresh--not like it's been sitting around. Portions are generous (you're definitely not leaving hungry), and the flavors hit every time, especially with their sauces. It's quick, affordable, and perfect for when you want something filling but still feels lighter than your usual takeout.

Falafel and grill has the best kebabs for takeout in wicker park. They're my go to for middle eastern food and the portions for plates always last 2-3 meals. The hummus is so flavorful with a hint of lemon. I also love the baba ghannoush (eggplant dip) and lightly air frying the pitas that come with it. My favorite order is the combination meat plate since you get chicken kebab, beef kebab, kofta kabob, and chicken shawarma with their yellow rice, salad, hummus and pita. It's an incredible value and every time the meat is perfectly cooked. It hits the spot every time. It's super easy to order through their website and just check in with the cashier to pick it up.

I forgot how good this place is!! Came by tonight around 9pm and was provided friendly service and a fantastic meal. The kofta kebab was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Baba Ghanoush was delicious as well. They were a little heavy handed with the oil on top, but it still tasted great!

Ordered a falafel wrap via Uber Eats. Came neatly wrapped and cut in half. Really enjoyed it! Great deal. Looking forward to trying out more food in the future.

We really enjoyed the meat here - moist, tasty and perfect. I also liked the hummus as it was nice and smooth. My major complaint is you can't get a salad with meat unless it's the Greek salad. So I had to order a side of tabbouleh with a chicken kabob on the side. It felt like not enough meat for a full meal. Honestly the combination plate my husband got was huge, we will probably just split one of those in the future!

I love Mediterranean Food so when I say this was phenomenal it indeed was the BEST I've had! The Combination Meat is something I knew I had to try since it comes with 4 different kind of meats along with rice, hummus & a side salad, the meat was seasoned well and cooked to perfection! We also had the Chicken Shawarma Sandwich and Falafel Sandwich, which again had amazing flavors. Then to finish off we had these delicious Mint Lemonade & Mango drinks which were perfect for this Chicago heat! Highly recommend!

The first one was (non-pureed) lentil soup with swiss chard, onnions, potatoes and cilantro. The ingredients made the soup rich in flavor. Meanwhile, the stewed potato slightly thickened the soup to richen the texture. I wish there could be more swiss chard, though. The Masdgouf was a hit: unlike traditional Iraq Masdgouf, they pan seared the cod (well, cod is quite tender so searing is actually a better idea), then topped it with a mixture of finely diced veg, peppers and tamarind paste. Served with Lebanese rice, grilled bell peppers and grilled Roma tomatoes. Compared to the Lebenese rice I had in Atlanta, the rice in this one was longer and drier, while the vermicelli in it was softer and more moist. Overall it tasted savory, sweet, sour, with a hint of spiciness. They did a good job in balancing these flavors. I also got some pita -- not those thin, balloon pita but tasted fresh and good, and not salty at all. Serice was friendly and quick. After the meal the chef asked me about my dining experience and I praised highly of the two dishes. She told me that while Masdgouf was not originally from Lebanon, she tried to add some Lebenese element to it, e.g., the tamarind paste. I really appreciate her effort to do something unique and delicious! The only thing I (seriously) hope they could do better was about handling the smoke from the kitchen. At first I was seated near the kitchen and the smoke made my lung uncomfortable; needless to say how it would affect the restaurant staff. If they could get a better range hood it would do good to both the staff and customers' health! I will try more dishes the next time I visit Chicago.

The lamb shawarma is outstanding--perfectly seasoned, tender, and packed with incredible flavor. The chicken shawarma is just as delicious, juicy, and cooked to perfection. The food is where Ēma really shines. From the Happy Hour menu, the Charred Eggplant Hummus and Crispy Potatoes were generously portioned and great for sharing. On the main menu, the Indian-Mediterranean fusion Bhel Hummus was a party for my taste buds, while the Hot Honey Halloumi and Chicken Kefta rounded out the table nicely. The halloumi is more of a side than a main, but that sweet-and-salty hot honey combo was chef's kiss. For our finisher, the Chocolate Torte knocked us out. Decadent, delicious and chocolate with lots of depth.
