Someone in…read morethe previous review mentioned possible workplace toxicity--When I went in years ago it did feel kind of quiet and eerie, as if some of the staff were sort of whipped despite having a full house of workers and waiting customers. Today it seemed like it was a quiet day and there was only one or two other staff despite 2 waiting customers. As in both my experiences the venue appears to be really clean. Not sure what other people are complaining about re: rudeness as it's quick, polite and efficient and also the wax they used was surprisingly super painless... one big caveat: they double dip, and if you're the type that minds then you should pay more for peace of mind. They wore gloves and had a mask on for my lower leg wax. They're experienced with threading but if you have sensitive skin I wouldn't go here-- While I'm totally cool with pain (and even enjoy that during an eyebrow wax/threading) some people would feel having a thread rapidly whisking over their over-eye area would be too tender. They weren't wearing gloves for the threading part but frankly not sure if I've ever seen that or if people would still be as tactile with gloves on. It would have been reassuring to see someone sanitize hands before the threading took place. I deducted a star as the most disappointing part was double-dipping in wax... which higher end salons don't do but at this price point, is common and is a bit of a dice roll on skin health given the monkey pox scares... so I wouldn't trust waxing my pubic area with them.

The place has 3-4 seats for threading and an inside space for waxing (not sure how big that space is) There was an Asian lady doing threading and later there was another Indian lady who came and helped out with the threading. She did mine and it was super fast. I was concerned that perhaps it was not done so well since it was quick but after looking at the mirror I was happy to see it was done perfectly. I was here for the cheap prices and fast service, there is one lady who is extremely lovely but today she was not there. I had the inner portion of my eyebrow CHOPPED OFF, on top of that they made me PAY for the work that the esthetician did. It wasn't like a small mistake as I'm not too picky, but the entire inner portion of my eyebrow was missing and uneven. She wanted to even it out, but there was no way she was going to chopp off my other eyebrow. I came out crying as I was embarassed by how I looked. The manager did not do anything except made me pay for the poor service that was given. I had to FILL in my own eyebrows after the appointment as I did not want to go home looking like an alien. Please management ensure your estheticians are well trained. You definitley lost an extremely loyal customer for the past four years.

(It's also a combo - you can kind of mix and match, but I'll stick with the original combo.) Again, absolutely painless (how do they do it?) and absolutely perfect brows. They're not out there to shape them, just clean them up, and for that, I can relax the moment I lie down in the chair. I also noticed that they have henna for $5 (I plan on going one day just for that) and massages that are $1 a minute, for 15 or 30 minutes/dollars. To date, that is the best deal I have seen in the city, but no sign of RMT license. The ladies who work here are as nice as can be and smile so much. First, I have not experienced pain from threading in a VERY long time. I have been threading my upperlip and eyebrows consistently every 3-4 weeks for probably 15+ years? This woman seemed like she was mad as hell and my eyebrows and upperlip were to pay. I have cuts on my lip and was tearing up the entire time. Second, she SLAUGHTERED my eyebrows. I came back with HALF of one of my eyebrows and the other completely botched. They don't match - AT ALL. It is unacceptable to book someone for a wax when that is not their requested service. I have been burned on my face by wax that is too hot. I do not use retinol or any other products that are not acceptable to use before a service. Make sure you are getting the service you actually booked.
