I have been coming to Raj for over a year and she usually does a great job. She is rude by commenting on inappropriate things such as saying "why do your lashes look like that" when I obviously needed a fill. She told my friend who was suffering from systic acne "what's wrong with your face" but because she did a good job I kept coming. On my last appointment I was late to my appointment by 5 minutes. Raj repaid me by making my thick eyebrows paper thin and uneven after growing them for 2 months because I was going on vacation. When I said something about it she gaslit me and tried to convince me that one of my eyebrows was already thin and had to make them thin to match the other one. If you like your brows don't come here because she will ruin them if she's in a bad mood. I am in tears writing this because my brows are ruined. read more

Today, I got my eye brows done at Raj collections. It wasn't my first time but it will certainly be my last. I showed Raj a photo of my eyebrows and how I wanted them shaped after letting them grow out for 4 months, yes I had not touched them since January 2022. She said no problem, " I know how to do that, I did this for you last time" (she did not do my eyebrows last time I got them done elsewhere). I specifically said, "Please keep them thick and close together, just a cleaning". Please look at photo number 1 (what she did) then number 2 (my eye brows in 12/2021 done by someone else) to see what she did. I have my birthday and am in two weddings next week. I feel ugly and just flat out disappointed. Mind you, she didn't even say sorry. All she said was "It was a mistake, they will grow". My husband had to stand up for me and go back to the salon to get the $15 back and thinking she would acknowledge her mistake. She still did not apologize to him. She said "Okay that's fine we are done conducting business". I do not recommend this business for the following reasons: 1.) She is dishonest 2.) She is a licensed professional who can't do her job correctly 3.) She is incentive and does not own up to her mistake (could have said a simple sorry). We were in an urgent need for a men's Kurta. We tried calling for a specific color. We were told they had the color and in the size we needed. They said they had it in the size we need. I asked if they could send a photo because I live far away and wouldn't and to make the trip just to find out that the color was not the right one. To which I got the reply: "that's too much work".I asked if they have a website where I could see a photo of the item, they said they did not have one. They only have a fb page. When I asked if the kurta I wanted was on the fb page, they replied that they didn't know. I think it would be wise to have photos available of all items in your store or be able to provide them when asked. Good customer service is not that difficult. read more

After going here for two years, I had to write a review. This is my eyebrow spot. Raj is very good and talented she does my brows just the way I want. For threading its $12 (eyebrows) which is a very reasonable price. Busy days are usually fridays and Saturdays but during the weekday its moderate. i had been going to raj for a while but she has a new employee that does not know how to do eyebrows at all. She has messed up on my eyebrows TWICE and TWICE i got an eyebrow ingrown hair because she did not wash her hands and she constantly touched my eyebrows because she KNEW she messed them up. I NO longer go here. Unless your getting your eyebrows done by RAJ herself- which i asked for but she insisted one giving the other girl a try i was VERY hesitant because she had messed up my eyebrows so BADLY BEFORE. i gave her a chance anyways and she messed them up so bad that even Raj offered to fix them. That should NEVER be the case. I would post pictures but yelp doesn't allow me to. Now i have a dark keloid under my eyebrow. NEVER GONE BACK SINCE. I have an eyebrow piercing so i went back to my piercer and he told me it was not due to the piercing at all the ingrown hair wasn't even at the piercing sight. and when it did pop. 2 hairs came out. So do with this review what you will but i'm not going back. here are some pictures. My experience was okay tho. Raj- the store owner did fix my eyebrows but it just mad them thin. I went to Raj pre-pandemic for about 6 months. Once businesses started to open back up, I continued going to her for about a year. I convinced my sister to start going, as well. However, the last couple of times we were very disappointed. The store was always chaotic (which is fine occasionally but not every time), she was not a great communicator (Moody street was closed one day for an event and she said she forgot to let us know and then made a comment about us being late), and the results became inconsistent. I scheduled an appointment with Raj one day, specifically so I could have my brows done the way I wanted them, and it wasn't until I got there for the service that I was told she wasn't in. Overall, they seem disorganized but are nice people. Would not recommend if you are looking for consistency, though! read more

I decided to give eyebrow threading, and Raj's, a try, because I needed to find somewhere within walking distance. Thank goodness for trying something new, because Raj did a better job taming and sculpting my brows than any waxer I've ever been to (there's been many due to moving around). Not only did I not even need to tell her the shape I wanted (she got it immediately), but the shape is so precise. Additionally, when it grows back, it looks less unruly than 5 weeks post-waxing. I was admittedly worried when Raj wasn't available the next time I went in, but my brows still came out looking good (I don't remember the name of the person who did it). She must be newer, because it took her a lot longer than Raj, but I'm glad she took the time to do it right. Raj also helped me find and tailor a blouse a few years ago when my friend invited me to wear a Sari for her wedding. She helped me match it to the Sari and tailored it on the spot. Bottom line: get your brows done at Raj. If you can't get them done by Raj, rest assured, she has taught her employees well. I love this place. It is the threading salon I go to when I'm at school and I can't go to the place I normally go to in New York. They take their time to figure out your shape for your eyebrow, and take the time to get the difficult hairs. They do everything and then a once over to make sure that all the stray hairs are cleaned up. A ton of my friends go here too and always leave satisfied. Pain is tolerable. Lots of free parking around the area so it isn't a pain to go to. read more

I may be cheating on my other threading place since I haven't gone back since I've discovered Raj's on Moody St. I have loved coming out of the place each and every time with fantastic shape to my brows! I also finally met Raj herself after my 3rd or 4th time, who ended up doing my brows for me, and I had no idea it was her! I've been cheating mostly because of the fantastic and quick service they have here. There is usually never a line. It's also literally right down the street from my laundromat, so I get to take care of two things at once. Throw my wash in and then walk down the street to get things taken care of, return and my wash is ready to be thrown into the dryer! $8 is all it takes to get awesome brows here! read more

I have since moved to south Boston, but make the trek to Waltham every 5 weeks to have Raj or Renu thread my lip and eyebrows because there is simply nobody better. I've looked believe me, but the price and extreme attention to detail and the perfect shape cannot be beaten anywhere else. Renu also gives the most divine little brow massage with the lotion at the end too! This is the ONLY place you should go for threading. I had my pants altered here, which is a little bit loose. At first they told me 20$, and I agreed. The next day they called me and told me it should be 25$. And they only accept cash!! I'm not happy about it, but still payed 25$ when I got my pants back. The alternation is not good for a pair of suit pants since the middle line is not in its right position. The ridiculous thing is that when I payed, they said 25$, and latter they called and said that I should pay more 10$!! I don't' know how much the alternation should be charged in the market, but I'll never be there for a second time! read more
