This applies to both Summer Breeze and the Home Warranty Company. AC went out around midnight on a Wednesday to Thursday night. I made the service request online at 12:30am. Summer Breeze didn't bother to text until 5:30pm Thursday evening that they couldn't come out until the following Tuesday afternoon a full 5 days. When I told them this was unacceptable (with colorful language - I know it's not professional but I couldn't help myself) the attitude was have you warranty company transfer it to a different company. These idiots cost us an entire day before a weekend to find a different company. Had Summer Breeze said something in the morning then I would have immediately been able to do something about it but no they wait until 5:30pm which tells me they did it intentionally so they wouldn't have to deal with an upset home owner and the warranty company. Horrible company just based on the initial interaction so heaven forbid what the experience would have been if they had ever come out to my house. A couple of days ago, I had a problem with my heat pump, which was located in my basement. The technicians from Summer Breeze Heating & Air, Chris and Josh, were assigned the task to remove and replace an air handling unit (AHU). In addition, they replaced new ducting and Freon associated with the installation of the AHU. These gentlemen were very professional, polite, courteous, and responsive. I was impressed with their cleanliness, when working on a rainy day. Specifically, they wore shoe covers and laid down runners to keep our floors clean. Unequivocally, I am very satisfied with their performance. And, I would, definitely, recommend Summer Breeze to anyone, who wants quality and a reasonable price. read more

Trying to get service completed between them and American Home Shield is the worst experience ever. They both keep giving me the run around which has resulted in me going most of the summer without AC and now going into the cooler months with no heat. It's ridiculous. It's hard to get in contact with a representative from Summer Breeze because they rarely answer the phone. I have left voice mails but they never return my phone calls. They are not 100% terrible but I would suggest using the as the last option. read more

Do not use Summer Breeze Heating and Air, i would give zero stars if i could. Our warranty company sent them to repair our furnace and they were here twice and neither time were able to fix the problem. Upon leaving the second time i was told that they would work out a plan with their bosses to get us going again. Well after a week without a response, we call them only to be told that there was "rodent damage" to the wiring and that isn't covered under our warranty so they won't repair our unit. We ask for proof of the damage and are told that we will receive pictures. After 7 weeks of back and forth about proof they send a picture that they got off of the internet showing a chewed wire. It only took me a few minutes using Google Images to find the website that they got the picture from. After proving to them that the picture was not of my house, they claim that the photo was on the techs phone by accident. If the boss backs up a crooked employee then you can bet that the boss is just as crooked. They stopped answering calls from our number as well but would answer when we called from other phones, so beware if they show up at your house, especially Matt or Travis. These are the two lying techs who caused us to pay another company to fix our furnace( which had zero wire damage, it just needed a new heat kit) and go without heat for seven weeks in winter with two girls under the age of 9. I even told them they could not miss out on this appointment because I had to be there at a certain time. They assured me they wouldn't. This company is horrible and they do not have dispatch in place after hours to provide communication to their customers when they will be late or not show up at all. NO STARS! Run away from these people. Do not let them into your home. This company is a scam. We had a leak in our air conditioner and they were assigned by our Home Warranty company. The technician came out to inspect with pen and paper only! We work from home so we were working while he went into the attic. Then he gave us both separately a brief explanation of the problem. We thought he went out to his truck and the next thing we knew he was gone! He left and I didn't hear from the company again until a week later when I initiated a call to them to inquire about the status. The guy I spoke with said they were reaching out to the warranty company and they would be in touch with me. Three items were mentioned at that time on our AC needed to be repaired. I reached out to the warranty company myself and they had no information from Summer Breeze. Later that day I get both an email and text message with typos indicating that the warranty company will reach out to me and "they have payment plans?!" During the week I reach out to Summer Breeze to find out what's on the list that I'd need a payment plan for? I made him go line by line and it was almost $2K out of pocket because I had exhausted my home warranty limitations. One of the line items included pulling a permit with my city. Mind you my AC has been leaking this whole time through the drywall in my ceiling. We had this issue once in the past and all they had to do was drain the line, something their technician could have easily done when he first came out. Long story short, I ended up calling a reputable local company, didn't tell them anything after they did their own diagnosis. Guess what, surprise, surprise they just needed to drain the line for 10% of what they were trying to charge us! Yes our AC needs some other TLC items to bring it up to snuff but those things didn't need to be done to immediately address the leaking issue. Pay out of pocket if you need to, don't use this company!! read more

Do not use this company unless you want to go over a week without heat. We called on Thursday and they said they wouldn't be coming until Monday. They came and said we needed a part so our new appt was Thurs between 12-4. Husband called and said we couldn't be there before 1 bc we had an event for my daughter and they changed our window to 1-5. Of course they showed up at 12:30 and then left. When I called I was told that they wouldn't come back until the next day even though they showed up out of the window when we said we wouldn't be home. I told them it had been a full week with no heat and Matt said it had only been since Monday since that's when they came out- even though we had called them the Thursday before! But they assured me I would be first in my area the next day and they'd be there between 10-12. They didn't show in that timeframe and when I called they said they were at a different job in my area. I reminded him we were supposed to be first and somehow magically he said the tech wasnt at the other job and was coming to us and he must have been mistaken. Right. Save your family the trouble of 8 days without heat and go with a company that values customers and shows up when they're supposed to. read more

I would give a half star if i could. I thought they were a great company. Until they didn't show up for an appointment. At least CALL when you are not going to show. Very dissapointed and HOT!! I got pets...it's 87 degrees in the house!!! They said the part would be in saturday and they will come and install between 12p-4p. I actually trusted them and didn't call. But when 3pm rolled along I called and of course they are closed at noon on Saturday. Now we have to suffer 2 more nights until Monday to get our air fixed. read more

I do not recommend this company. They were contracted out by First American Home Warranty to fix our furnace. The heat has not worked in a week. The WO was entered on a Friday and the first visit was on a Tuesday. He looked at our furnace and said there was nothing he could do he had to order a part, he would be back on Friday. Through fussing, fighting, and negotiating and appointment with our part was scheduled for a Thursday 10-2. Sat around waiting, we got an email at 1:00 that the tech is 1 min away. My 1:09, we called the tech because he had not arrived. He stated that he was one minute away but needed to go to the part house and pick up our part (why this was not sooner is beyond me). He arrived at 2:05 (after the allotted window). He messed with the furnace some more went out and in with parts for about 10 minutes then said he has the wrong part and will need to go back to the parts warehouse and order a new part. The part he ordered was a generic part, he never even looked at the gas valve (broken part) to begin with. When he got to the parts store, guess what.... they don't have the part, and they need to order it. It will be another 3-5 days with no heat. Our temps are in the 30's and dropping into the teens at night. This is obscured to have a company contracted out that constantly is failing at service. There are many complaints on Yelp, Google, and BBB about this company. Do not hire them if you want the job done correctly or efficiently. They are a trial and error company and do not want business. When I call and spoke to Matt (who claimed to be the owner of the company) he told me they were going out of their way for us and we should be grateful for what they are doing (as he sits in his heated office or heated home). read more

Technician lied about charges and work need to repair unit on Thursday May 24th AHS scheduled a summer Breeze technician to come to our place to check our AC. When he arrived within a few minutes he told my husband that the whole unit would need to be replaced (the unit is only 4 years old) and that our Home owner insurance would not cover it. When my husband asked for a written estimate the technician refused to do it on any business letterhead. My husband offered a notepad and he began to write about 8 line items and $ amounts which total over $1,500. My husband asked again for a more clear explanation and the technician stated that he could have everything done for under $3K if paid cash right there and now and not to bother with AHS, that they were a horrible company. He told my husband that he would pump Freon to hold us off for 10 days for $200. when my husband told him he was not comfortable with just by passing our insurance company, the technician tore off the sheet of paper he had written the possible cost of all the times we need and stormed off (we have a copy of this if its need a verification of his scam). The next morning we called our insurance company and report them. They sent another company out to check our system. The new company technician came in and check our system and said all we need it is a valve and drip tray, all covered by insurance read more

I waited four days for an appointment and when they arrived they worked on the equipment for 20 minutes said that it was a problem with the electric company, took their $75.00 fee and left. I called the electric company and they stated there was not a problem on their end. I called another company, they arrived and repaired the unit in an hour. Unfortunately I have to give this company one star because there are no provisions for giving no stars. Summer Breeze, forty six miles away, was assigned by American Home Shield (AHS) to repair our home air conditioner. Folks, it's Summer in Georgia. It took four days for the appointment. The tech showed up an hour after the three hour scheduled window, replaced a faulty thermostat and determined the air mover motor was defective. Since he did not have the replacement part in his truck, he promised to return first thing in the morning of the next day. No show and he did not return my calls. I called the office and spoke to polite Matt explaining the situation. Now I was rescheduled another three days away for return service. Following that conversation with Matt, I contacted a local air conditioning service and in TWO HOURS the air conditioner motor was replaced and working fine. I will not renew the contract with AHS nor recommend service from Summer Breeze. You decide what you will do ! read more

What a joke. A representative called me on Wednesday to verify my appointment window on Friday from 11-3. Well, 11-3 came and went, and we never heard a word from them.
