The only thing I can say bad about this place is their hours, but pretty much all pool places are like that. M-F 10 - 6 Sat 10 - 3 Joe always finds me what I need when others can't. He just looks at an O-ring and finds it on the wall. I've never had an issue with customer service or them not having what I need. I can't say anything about their opening and closing services, but I've haven't had luck with anyone opening & closing my pool. They all try to cram too many appts in one day, and start to get sloppy. read more

The lack of communication is huge with this company. They called me for payment for closing my pool, a week earlier than I planned. Didn't tell me until it was done. I had planned a pool party today. That was canceled. When they opened my pool, they ripped the cover, so I ended up having to buy a new one from them, for the 2nd year in a row (mind you this is supposed to be a 10 year cover ) Then when he called for payment, he tried charging me $100 MORE than what it was supposed to be. If you are looking for a company to service your pool look elsewhere. Amanda the owner of this company should step down. She is very disrespectful and not professional at all. She called me names and used profanity multiple times. Here's my story: The day this company "opened" my pool they "finished" the job and I noticed my pool was not clean at all (I have video/ pictures of this). They did not screw the pool cover anchors back in, as a result my grandchild tripped and hurt himself. There is so much more I can go on and on. I called multiple times and Amanda said she was going to send someone out and she never did. I ended up having to call two separate companies to clean my pool and turn on my heater. Fast forward, Amanda the owner never resolved the issue and never sent anyone to my house, as promised, yet she expected me to pay for the service that never occurred. She has been contacting me (3 times) over the past year+ to collect payment and every time I explain why I'm not paying she dismisses me, doesn't want to hear why, and uses profanity. This company is all sweet and nice until you hire them to open your pool. When you express your concerns about their workmanship they respond by being rude, sarcastic and snarky. They keep telling you they will come out to make it right and they string you along for weeks only to show up and be completely rude, unprofessional and incompetent. The treat you with disrespect and make you feel like you are a bother to them when to explain things to them about your pool. Then they respond with a know-it-all attitude and act like they know your pool better than you know your own pool. They arrived at my home without confirming the appointment and barged through my privacy fence. It was early in the morning. By the time I found out they were here they were sitting in the truck ready to leave. They did not finish vacuuming the bottom of my pool. They said it was too green. That is not the case as I could see where they still needed to vacuum. They lost parts to my pool and when I called them out on it they lied to my face. They also laughed at me in disrespect and slammed my privacy fence gate when they left in a huff, still without finishing the work. They "opened" the pool on May 28 and it is now June 13th and it still needs to be vacuumed. They told me they don't want my money. Maybe that is because why should I pay them if they are not able to do a good job? It is hard to find a really good pool company. Most of the good folks are at or near retirement. If you are a woman have a male friend or family member at your home when they are there. And make sure your home cameras are in good working order. If I could I would give zero stars. read more

I've been here a few times for minor pool parts and chemicals. They have a very large selection. They don't have parts for Intex pools but were able to find parts that worked for me (with a little duct tape). I've always been treated professionally and promptly. read more

We are new "pool home" owners and used them all season (our mistake). These people resented explaining anything, especially if my wife had questions. Made us feel like we were wasting their time. Extremely rude. Our opinion is that this company is run by unprofessional, poorly raised people with no manners or concept of customer service, especially if you are a woman. I can't believe the way I was treated by he OWNER of Summerfun Pools . They came as a referral to me by a loyal customer of theirs. I called in the beginning of April to schedule them to open my pool. I told them it's never been opened before as it's a new pool and I wasn't sure what they needed of me before they opened it. The girl who answered the phone said nothing needed to be done that they would be there at noon today. So I was home at 11:30 and actually in my backyard until 2 and no one showed! Finally at 4:30 pm I called and asked the girl who answered the phone what time to expect them. She laughed at me and said they had already been buy and left because the baskets and equipment wasn't left out - so I was clearly upset and asked to speak to the owner . When I specifically asked yesterday what needed to be done AGAIN on my part - she again told me nothing. When the owner got on the phone he started out by saying " you will listen to me mam" and SCREAMED at me because his guys were there early in the morning and no one was home and so he told his guys to leave - and that they don't punch a time clock so apparently the "noon " appointment slot had no relevance. He told me that I had waisted their time because I wasn't prepared and when I told them that I had never opened a pool before he said " I don't buy that" working in the customer service industry myself I find this kind of service disgusting and I will not tolerate it. Being a small business owner myself, I typically refrain from giving poor reviews to other small/locally owned business. However, after my very regretful and horrific interaction with this group, I felt compelled to share my experience. My story begins as such: I had initially scheduled my pool opening with Summer Fun Pools couple of months in advance and requested to receive a date and time. However, the receptionist informed me that they do not schedule that far ahead and are unable to tell me an exact day and time but do guarantee service on that month. Therefore, they told me to call the month of my opening to get the exact day and time. So when I called on the month of, they said that they forgot about my service and needed to find an open space for me. When they finally scheduled me, I had explained to the owner and receptionist that, I have lived in condo's and high rises and have never owned a home with a backyard let along a POOL. I explained to them, I wanted to be present for the opening so that I can comprehend some of the mechanism and avoid calling a company for minor issues. As it turns out, they were a no call no show during the first scheduled date. So, I called them and rescheduled and they did the same during the 2nd appointment, they cancelled the 3rd appointment due to inclement weather (understandably so), and finally showed up for the fourth scheduled appointment when I was on my way to work. As a result, my wife was in attendance. The owner did explain some of the processes. However he was overtly chauvinistic and speaking down to my wife. The next day, my motor stopped functioning, so I called the company 4 times and was told each time by the receptionist to call back in an hour after she had a chance to speak with the owner. Finally, she had told me the owner would come take a look but could not give me a time. When the owner, Mike, finally came, I approached him with enthusiasm and a very geeky smile since he was already inside my property and seemed like was ready to fix the problem. Unfortunately, the first words out of his mouth was "look here motherfu**er, don't you dare call me a hundred times and demand anything", I tried calming him down and tried to tell him that there is a clear misunderstanding. He may have been misinformed and I wasn't demanding anything. Rather I just wanted to know if they could come and look at the pool motor since the opening process was already in motion. His response was "Shut the F**k up, I don't need your business, I don't work for you, take care of it yourself you towel head." He used racist and bigoted slurs against me. He then rushed out, slamming and damaging my gate on his way out. Which triggered me to reciprocate? Thankfully, my wife pregnant wife and 20 month old kid were there to defuse the situation. This company has no sense of professionalism/customer service, and the owner is a chauvinistic bigot. Even if they do a good job, I implore everyone to search within their heart and decide if it's worth providing business to a man who holds such horrible values. read more
