Beware! This customer markets an sells Swim spas, but doesn't service them. Take my advice from someone who has tried all summer to get them to come out for a pipe leak. Technician did come out, said it was an easy fix, left panel off, and filter out and never came back. I've had a horrible experience from this store from a swim spa I bought at the Detroit Hot Tub show 2 years ago. My tub has never worked right and they just don't seem to care. Multiple calls, multiple excuses. I finally ended up getting in touch with Master Spa who got me in touch with a service person in Cadillac, MI. I live in Plymouth, about 3 hours away. He's the only person that will work on my tub. It's cost me too much money and time, it's not worth buying from a store that won't service what they sell. read more

Terrible company, they will lie and change your purchase order to meet their needs. They are quick to charge a line of credit they open for you and refuse to refund once you find out that the line of credit they opened isn't what they said they were doing. Remember, if it isn't on your purchase order, it doesn't exist, no matter how many times Nick and the sales team says it is true. Do not have them sign you up for financing, it is a hoax, they will sock it to you and not give you any paperwork to show you what they did. You need to request copies of all paperwork from them at the time of the sale, because what they say they did is not what they actually did. read more

I went to this place to buy some bromine tabs for my hot tub. I did not buy the hot tub I have from there but I inquired about getting new filters. They told me to bring in what I have and they'd measure and order. So about a week later I brought my filter in. They looked it over, didn't measure it mind you and told me they'd have to check with "their filter people" and get back to me. Two days later I got a vm saying they'd have an answer for me the next day. After that? Nothing. Despite TWO MORE calls to them on my behalf I got completely blown off!! If they are this bad about a $30 filter how bad will they be after you spend a few grand on a hot tub?? Not good I'll bet!!! read more

Warning - do not do business with The Hot Tub Store. Approximately one year ago, we gave The Hot Tub Store $3,000 as a down payment on a hot tub after seeing them at a show in Lansing. (we have the receipt) We should have never done it so quickly but they seemed so nice etc. and we trusted they would do right by us. We had not fully researched how to actually run the wiring in our new home but they told us "don't worry, we will make sure it works, etc." But to our great dismay, after spending months calling in no less than three electricians and our local electric company, we learned our electric lines are "maxed" out as they currently stand. The electric company told us we would have to have them come out and run a entire new line (new utility pole etc ... a huge undertaking). The electric company (Tri County Homeworks) then said the only way they would do that is if we put in a new structure on the property (like a pole barn, etc.) that would justify the new line. This took months to find out and we were devastated. We can't afford to build a new pole barn to get the line in. So .... in January, I began to make weekly calls to Helene at The Hot Tub Store and fully explained our huge problem. Yes, the paperwork we signed said the deposit was non-refundable but this situation was truly unique AND Helene and Ed (the owner) told me (after many many phone calls trying to get them to call me back) that they would "check with the factory/warehouse about how much we would have to pay in storage costs and then they would return to us whatever was left over from the $3,000." They told me this back in February. Phone calls were made each week by me, Helene would tell me "we are waiting to hear" many times, promise to return my calls, weeks and weeks go by ... and I was patient and professional each and every time. A month ago Helene tells me "the warehouse says they will charge us $600 for storage and we will have a check for the remainder ($2,600) in the mail to us by the end of the week." I waited ... and waited. No check. On two separate occasions, she actually told me she was trying to return the entire down payment to us and that was what was taking so long. But finally, after calling each week, my patience is gone. I know we messed up in the first place but we were willing to accept loss of at least $600. Still they can not treat us with the respect we deserve. I was told multiple times that we would be able to get part of our money back. But it has been over two months since we were told that and nothing. It is just plain wrong. We are asking for return of a portion of our $3,000. We are willing to pay a reasonable portion for any costs they incurred by storing the tub (if it was ever produced, I don't know for sure that there is actually a tub being stored anywhere with our name on it) Carla Antico-Bumstead read more
