I've only had the half-moon coffee here, but it was both times. This location gets very, very busy. Be prepared to wait awhile to order and then wait awhile for your order to be prepared. You should also not plan on sitting and drinking your coffee here because seating is limited and it's almost guaranteed that every seat will be taken. I'm on a hunt to find great spots to study, drink chai, and have a snack after work and on the weekends. I haven't been to the S. Location yet, but the drive north on a Thursday on Mopac wasn't too bad. I'm pleased to find some parking, but it is limited to the array of shops. At least it's not street parking. I'm always drinking chai, so I ordered a spiced chai with a chicken pot pie. I like the flavor of the chai and it actually comes pretty hot! I've had plenty of chai drinks and they come lukewarm. There was plenty of spots to sit, and I'm happy that the music isn't loud. It's very relaxing and great study music. I've studied at Radio Coffee and I have to drown the loud obnoxious music with my study music. I think Summer Moon is much better for quiet study time. The pot pie wasn't very flavorful. The crust was not as flakey, the the chicken was very bland. I wouldn't order it again, even though I was so excited to find food besides the typical coffee shop snacks. Summermoon is just wonderful. They have a huge menu of options, not to mention their specialty "moon milk" which they use in their drinks. It is heavenly! I've even bought some and used it when making french toast and it was delicious!! The staff is amazingly friendly, absolutely will remember your name and what your usual is, and they make the most divine coffee. This location gets slammed around 7:45 during the week, but it drops off by 9. The space itself is warm and inviting if you're looking for a place to read or work, or just visit with a friend. My go to is a Half Moon Latte, which is 1/2 moon milk and half regular milk. It is just the right amount of sweetness for me. This morning I tried their Vanilla Chai Latte and it was so creamy!! It isn't as spicy as some chai's are, so just a heads up about that. Their Summermoon Latte is also amazing, it is made with all moon milk, but be warned it is sweet! They also have affogato, nitrobrew, various baked good, handpies, and sell TacoDeli breakfast tacos! What more can you ask from a coffee place? Oh and they have a rewards program, after 10 visits you get a free drink. I think it only applies if you pay with a card though, but it's nice that they offer it. I'm in love with their moon milk. It's their signature housemade creamer that is VERY sweet and creamy. The barista let me try a sample of the moon milk and it's so unique and heavenly! If you're not into sweet drinks, it may not be for you. However, you can customize the amount of moon milk in your drink. Their Summermoon is hot, and Wintermoon is the iced version. Since it's up to 107° in Austin, I can see why their Wintermoon is popular right now. Since the moon milk is pretty sweet, there is also a "half moon" drink option, which uses half the moon milk and seems to be the most popular option. They recently added the Matcha Moon drink, and since I'm a huge matcha fan, that's what I got and I was very impressed with the drink. The matcha flavor was strong, and the moon milk added a delicious layer of flavor. The barista was extremely friendly, which immediately put me in a good {summer}MOOD *Ba DUM psst* And unlike a lot of places when I ask for light ice, my Matcha Moon came with the perfect amount of light ice. I think I've found my new study place for when I'm in town. I think I've also found my new favorite drink for when I want to treat myself. The staff here are super friendly - the barista was quick to recommend anything with the moon milk and tell me about how the sweetness could be adjusted. I ended up ordering a quarter mocha moon latte, which was the perfect amount of sweetness and tasted so good that I promptly burned my tongue trying to take another sip. (Admittedly I've been craving a good mocha for a looooong time, but this really was amazing!) There's also an ample amount of seating and lots of outlets. Even on a Saturday afternoon there were plenty of seats open with lots of people studying and people popping in and out for chats. They also have a nice selection of small bites for anyone who's feeling hungry. And also, the parking is a big plus. read more

Other than that the coffee is as good as ever, especially with their super secret moon milk. I ordered my usual Summermoon latte and a 007, which is espresso shots with moon milk shaken, not stirred. It was yummy. This location didn't have the local SoAP products like the original location so the north location doesn't have that "local" feel to it - more like a impersonal franchise. It's hella pricy! I went there three times tryout three different drinks. Don't try their mocha moon latte - their moon milk is already sweet. Their chocolate sauce is also sweet. The drink was a nightmare. But if you love diabetes, this drink is for you. The quarter winter moon latte (iced latte with their moon milk) was good. Not too sweet. But I barely taste the espresso. I felt like I was drinking milk to be honest. The best drink for me hands down is nitro cold brew with moon milk. The moon milk blended in with the cold brew nicely. I love it. It's a lot smaller but it gives it this "Coffee Cave Of Wonders" feel. The staff is killer and always are willing to answer simple and complicated questions with ease. These drinks like any quality coffee spot are made to order, so kick back and relax until your name is called. My personal favorite is the 007, a nod to Bond himself and you can either have it shaken or over the rocks; I like it over the rocks because it's super agent strong and the Texas heat melts the ice at just the right rate that the strength and flavor shines in my opinion. My main purpose though was to get some work done so although the latte was amazing as many people agree, I have to give this place 4 stars based on the setup of the place. Most individuals like myself go here to sit, do work, and be high on caffeine, however, the seating is not ergonomic at all! I tired all the different variations of seating just to realize my back would ache on all of them and when I just settled on one, after 20 mins, I was already feeling pain so ended up standing and working. My overall experience here was pretty wonderful. The staff was friendly and the ambience inviting. The cinnamon rolls tasted like heaven, however, those were the only food I could taste. I would suggest summer moon have some more baked goodies so that the customers can have a lot more food choices. A better seating arrangement as compared to individual chairs could also help. Coffee here is very average. If you like sweet, Starbucks-level drinks then this will be a huge upgrade for you. Otherwise the coffee doesn't really impress. Their iced cortado drink is pretty good and tastes like a Vietnamese coffee. If I come here, I'll probably just stick to that. This is my most favorite coffee shop as of right now! I love to get the iced matcha moon latte with a shot of espresso, or two shots if I get the 20oz cup haha. The matcha is so strong and flavorful and it goes so well with espresso. They are always packed everytime I go here. Their staff is so sweet and friendly! The only thing I wish is if they could have more outdoor seating and indoor seating. The place is clean. Oh but watch out for cars in the parking lot, people here drive a bit carelessly it seems.
