Summer moon does have a really good cold brew, and I really enjoy getting it with lite moon milk. The moon milk is great for me in small doses but most often they pour way too much and it makes the cold brew too sweet for me to enjoy. I could not order with any moon milk, but at that point I might as well go somewhere else to get coffee. So now that's what I'm going to do. If they were more consistent at this location I would continue to enjoy their coffee. read more

I am a huge Summermoon fan and have probably been to all the locations as well as bring my friends here who get converted to fans of the coffee/ moonmilk. I work in North Austin and stop by this location frequently 3x per week as it is on my way to work. I order the same thing each time. I had a less than pleasant experience this morning when the barista gave me my coffee. I asked for moonmilk she was straight up rude and told me it was extra next time I need to pay for it. The other barista corrected her and told her I did ask for it. Why treat your customers like s*** for a splash of moonmilk? I'd rather go to another location where people will treat you with respect... read more

Obsessed. It hurts to pay $5 for an iced coffee sometimes but it's worth it here. Never disappoints.

The coffee is pretty damn good, but the service can really suck if the employees know anyone in line. So many times I've ordered, and the next person in line "knows someone" and then they get their drinks before mine. That type of stuff really sends the message that some customers just aren't as important as the others. I have a bunch of stories about the way these employees treat people in line. They are always nice, no one has ever been impolite or anything. Once there were at least 6 people in line and cars were pulling in like crazy, and the cashier was just chatting away at the customer in front fir like 5 minutes or more, like there were no other customers in line. One guy just scoffed and left, that still didn't give her the idea that people were wanting to give them their money. Another time, the barista dropped drinks at the window, only to see a friend and then just run out the back door to come give her friend a hug, and no one was making drinks while she caught up with her friend for almost 10 minutes. Terrific really. There's always a line and for good reason. It moves fast though. I love the quarter moon but that's just me.

Employees were extremely friendly and informative. And I even got to order 1/8th moon milk, or whatever the iced coffee option was. It was still really sweet, delicious and not overfilled with ice. We will be back! read more

First, the staff is amazing. They are perky and cheerful and they work fast. Great way to start your mornings. The coffee is pretty great too. They use something that they call moonmilk to sweeten their coffee. They describe it as the milk you used for your Frosted Flakes. My ONE complaint is that they run out of tacos so fast. You can be there before 9 AM and still not get a taco. read more

Great spot for a cup of coffee. Starting my busy Saturday off with an awesome experience! In desperate need of caffeine, I turned to google to give me suggestions for some joe. I'm a guy that knows what he wants at a coffee shop. Pretty basic: 1 large drip and triple shot dressed up (undertow). Same order every time. Well I didn't see anything that resembled an undertow, so I asked. The staff member helping me knew exactly what I was talking about and said she'd fix me up. She was very friendly in the short time I was there. Delivered my drinks in about 43 seconds (just guessing). And they were great! read more

Seriously the best coffee I have had in Austin. Wood fired, such a deep delicious flavor! This place runs circles around Starbucks. I highly recommend the "moon milk" drinks - the sweet cream is their own recipe and is just out of this world. I personally opt for a quarter moon, but if you like a more sugary/sweet coffee, go for a half moon (or even a 3/4, go crazy!). As a creature of habit, I almost always get the same drink: iced mocha moon. It is delicious and I wish it came in even larger sizes (hence the missing star). This is not a place IMO that you would hang out at, more of a to-go situation. If you are not going to Summermoon and getting a drink with moon milk, then you're probably fine to go to other places. read more

I love this little coffee truck! Coffee is great. Staff are super friendly and competent. I've been going here a few times a month for about 4 months and it's always been good. I'm usually a coffee only guy, but occasionally I order a breakfast taco as well and those are good too. It's a trailer so dress appropriately; you can get out of the sun since there's a little walk-up ordering area, but it's not climate controlled. It is cute and well organized for what it needs to be. read more

This trailer saved my life on Sunday. I was in real need for coffee this afternoon and this trailer was on the way near our destination. I've always wanted to try the Moon Milk but am lactose intolerant. I asked if they had an alternative option and they did! I love ,love the cofee. Needed one this morning was in such a rush I forgot my mask in the car. Therefore I didn't have a mask. customer service was unacceptable. The girl slam shut the screen in front of my face. Wasnt able to hear my order that's when I saw the sign saying u most wear a mask when ordering.. oops. Then I look back the 2 girl in the back making the cofee wasnt wearing there mask.. OK..... the one girl that handed me my cofee was very polite and ask that I wear my mask next time. And I apologized was in a rush. Girl #1 made me felt disgusting with her treatment towards the mask. If I had seen the sign earlier I wud have just walk to my car and get it.... read more

I am no stranger to Summer Moon! I was driving 10-15 minutes to the S.1st location bc it is that good! The Manchaca trailer is walking distance from my house! I am so so excited! I love the atmosphere and the cafe lights. Hope to see tables under them to chill at in the future! I usually just get drip coffee with moon milk as my creamer. My suggestion would be to have the creamer & moon milk out to pour ourselves like it is at the other locations. Not only is this more convenient for the customers, but the baristas as well! Another suggestion would be to have that side window be able to open up for the baristas to call out orders, otherwise customers are unable to hear when their orders are ready from the gazebo. I absolutely love moon milk! I also love the blue moon that has a hint of lavender. I come to this location about once a week to get my fix of coffee spectacular! They also have delicious donuts that I snack on, the blueberry is just delicious. Oh I also go because my dog mocha gets treats too! read more

Their velvet blaze is perfect for iced coffee, although I love and would rather just walk to the trailer on Manchaca Rd, meet up with the sweet baristas and enjoy a nice cup with Moon milk..mmmm :) My fave neighborhood coffee spot. You'll find nice, shaded picnic tables, or gazebo with very thoughtfully placed outlets in case you'd like to work (who does that outdoor for customers?) a sweet dog named skye that is THE best at fetch (don't tell my dog) or just a pair of sweet peoples behind the counter to chat with. I hate to be passive, but I dare you to find any of this at the *starlucks* up the road ;) Ps. If you live within the neighborhood, worth the walk! read more
