We went on a Sunday morning when visiting Austin. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute little shop with an outside window to order at.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The cashier was pleasant to work with. They were out of chai which was a bummer. I wanted to try the apple chai with butterscotch. I opted for the iced hibiscus tea and it was refreshing. My husband ordered the Cinnamon Toast Crunch cold brew. He is not usually a cold brew guy, but the cinnamon won him over. He also added the breakfast taco offered. It was small, which was fine since we also got a bagel next door. He said it was good and the salsa they gave out was spicy. We got this coffee to go with the bagels from next door. I got their strawberry tomato matcha and I was flabbergasted. This was SO DAMN GOOD. I would normally never go for a drink that has a tomato in it. Just not my thing. But this was amazing! The staff were really sweet and helpful even though they were sooo busy. read more

The coffee line might be long but they get your drinks out fast and on the spot. The staff really know about their drinks so ask away. I spilled my drink while trying to put the straw in with one hand and they gave me a new one right away.........other than that get a bagel next door while you are here.... I had a meet up and being an 'adult,' that meant coffee. I'm not a big coffee fan but saw that Fleet had non-coffee options as well. I got the Matcha-mosa, the only seasonal drink that wasn't coffee. The matcha was earthy-you could tell it was high quality and it stood out. I really dig this neighborhood coffee spot. It's convenient to my apartment and office. A great way to take a work break. My go-to is the delish butterscotch iced latte with oat milk. Just the right amount of butterscotch without being overpowering. The oat milk is so much lighter than a thick whole milk. It's a great combination. I like that the employees actually engage in conversation, no matter how brief. It's just the icing on the coffee! Yummy brekkie tacos. One of the first reviews I've ever left! Grabbed a bagel next door to go alongside my double espresso iced latte with juniper vanilla. The drink was delicious (5/5), however, leaving less stars since the online ordering / pick up experience was confusing and frustrating. The email said to "go to the pick up window," but there is only one window to place your order AND pick up, and I did not want to rudely cut off the 10-15 people waiting in line. I heard the employee calling out names, so I patiently waited for mine. After 30 minutes (literally), I jumped in line (which took another 10-12 minutes), then asked the employee about my online order. He grabbed my drink that had been sitting for over 30 minutes, then let me know that they don't call out names for online ordering (I did not know this). The drink still tasted delicious but it would've been a great gesture to offer to remake the drink. Signage or instructions for online ordering should be clearer. Yuck. Drove 30 miles to try this place and they're so rude. I am not a fan of cold brew but wanted to try the cereal infused milk. I asked if I could have that milk in a latte aka just put it with espresso instead of cold brew. She said no and I was like oh is it already combined with the cold brew? That makes sense if so. She said no it is separated. She asked another guy and he was like nah we can't do that. Both were rude and dismissive. Also???? Logic? Why can't you just put the milk over espresso customer service -10000/10 oh and also a small was $8 LOL. read more

There are countless coffee shops around my neighborhood, however Fleet is the one for me. Located in a buzzing pocket of the East side. Walkable to many great food trucks & bars. The espresso is phenomenal, [[HIGHLIGHT]]the environment is super "come as you are"[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], but it's the team behind the counter that keeps me coming back day after day. I usually get my coffee from Fleet on Manor, but this time I decided to try a different location, especially since there's a bagel place right next door. The coffee was consistent with Fleet's usual roast and quality, but the decaf had a slightly sour taste that wasn't quite to my liking. However, the iced latte was solid--the milk seemed to be low fat, but it was well blended and smooth. Service was friendly and incredibly fast. The coffee is flavorful with a good roast and they have all the usual coffee beverages to try. Love to see the house made syrups and sauces with unique flavors like the juniper vanilla I tried today. Sour Duck pastries (not the freshest) and a taco truck in the lot for good eats (but Veracruz is right next door FYI). They only have outdoor seating but the tables are nice and sturdy and they even have a nice wall around the seating area to make it feel cozier. Very limited parking in the lot but plenty of parking down the road. The staff is absolutely lovely, genuinely asking each person about their day and taking the time to get your order in a very welcoming way. read more

Loved their specialty coffee and if I remember correctly it was cherry infused and not too sweet which I prefer. Their pastry options are good and apparently they serve breakfast tacos too but I wasn't aware. The only other problem is that they open at 8 which is kinda late for midweek morning coffee run, but definitely will go back. read more

Decided to give this place a try after seeing a TikTok sharing their cherry almond latte - seemed unique and up my alley, so I was excited to visit! We dropped by just before 8am on a Saturday and had no line or wait ahead of us. They have about 3 parking spaces in front of the building, but there's plenty of street parking around the area as well. I peeked at the menu but ultimately ordered what I planned to try - an iced cherry almond latte with oat milk. I was a bit sticker shocked when she told me my total was $10.01 for the drink. That's steep for a 16 oz. latte compared to other places. I'm assuming the oat milk substitution was of course an upgrade, but even then, a bit much! The latte was good but very subtle in flavor - perhaps I should have asked for a bit more syrup. The espresso was nice and smooth, as was the oat milk. It was good, but I don't think it was near $10 good, and I can't really see myself going back often at that price point. However, it was certainly worth trying! They also sell pastries and tacos and they do have matcha and other syrups available for lattes. read more

The cinnamon croissant was amazing!! You can taste the mixture of cinnamon and butter with a crisp texture. I wish I could have had two. Anytime I try a new coffee place I go simple with my drink so I can capture the taste of their espresso Fleet Coffee is a must stop destination....the espresso is bold enough with a tempered finish. One thing to note: I did not get an alternative milk and my latte (smaller in size) was almost $8 , before tip. We got a hot chocolate and a latte here and both were just okay. The latte tasted a little muddled, almost like it has been made with equipment used to make other drinks? The espresso taste wasn't very distinct or strong. We came later in the morning and they were out of pastries. Outdoor seating only and street parking. My friend told me their infused cortados were to die for so I had to check it out as a fanatic. I believe they have rotating flavors, so when I went it was "The Ritual" - Oreo infused cortado. My friend did warn me it was a steep price of $6.50, so I figured I had to try it since I've never had anything like that before! Also I've been getting into cortados, so I was happy to give it a go. The latte art was neatly done and they even gave me an Oreo to go along with my drink! The drink was pretty good but I don't think I really tasted the Oreo. I don't think it was worth the price, sadly. Definitely down to try this place again when I'm in the area and try their other coffee drinks! They seem to have a solid selection. read more

This is a review for the west austin location Loved their espresso tonic (ET)! You cant really find espresso tonics in austin, so I was pleased to see they offered it and it was very delicious with the grapefruit juice. The order came out quick and the baristas were friendly. Great coffee and great food item selections! I love me some Veracruz tacos or Sour Duck Market pastries for breakfast, so you can grab everything you want in one go. Coffee here is great. They have a relatively small selection of beans but the flavor profiles are good. Baristas here take their time to make your drink, so don't expect it to come out super fast especially if they're busy. I liked my vanilla latte perfectly fine, though it came out in a smaller cup than I was expecting. Still, I appreciate strong coffee. Two things I have against Fleet though is the prices are on the high side for everything. This is definitely treat coffee and not somewhere I could go every morning for my cup of joe. And limited/no indoor seating is not where I want to stick around in a hot muggy Austin day. read more

I can't believe I've never written a review on this place. When I moved to Austin 5 years ago, this was one of the very FIRST coffee shops I drove to because of all the great reviews. At the time, I ordered the Fruity Pebbles Cortado and OMG I miss it lol. I think it was a seasonal drink, it was a yummy shot with fruity pebbles infused milk. Things to note: - They are not open for dine-in, you order your drink at the door/window - They have an outside table so you can sit and sip on your coffee but only enough seating for a few people - Coffee beans are amazing here - Parking lot is super small but there is PLENTY street parking - This coffee shop is super small and if you are driving too fast, it can easily be missed - They have FUN seasonal cortados that change often but are always delicious The people working here are always so kind. The lady helped me pick some beans based on my preference and she didn't rush me at all even tho there were 3 people in line behind me. Overall, this place is a gem and I highly recommend it for anyone and everyone!! :) read more

Fleet Coffee is a MUST visit little coffee shop in East Austin. Here's why you need to go: 1) Coffee: They rotate their beans among the best roasteries in the USA including from smaller roasteries like Madcap (Grand Rapids, MI). My latte was very smooth and among the best I've had in ATX. You can also buy their beans on display. 2) Location: It's in a cute, little corner of hip East Austin. 3) Space: It's tiny, but they make good use of the space. There's a small outdoor space to sit in front and a long window table inside. They even forced a small bathroom inside for customers. 4) Service: Unlike the baristas in top coffee shops in other cities (sorry, NYC), they are very friendly here. 5) Food: They also sell a variety of pastries and breakfast tacos. If you like good coffee and a beautifully minimalist designed space, make Fleet Coffee a major priority. read more

To end the perfect meal... my husband actually coordinated with staff to create "Gender Reveal" pancakes! I didn't realize what they were until I got to the yummy surprise! Their cream is delicious! The pancakes were soft and sweet! The experience, unforgettable. It brought happy tears to my eyes and we really appreciate the thought and care put into our day. The sauce was extremely rich, making it difficult to enjoy or finish the meal. That said, the restaurant itself is adorable, and our waiter was fantastic. The service and atmosphere were both great. While this breakfast wasn't a hit for me, I'll still return and stick with favorites like the fried green tomatoes and taquito salad, which were excellent during my previous visit.

Their burger is easily one of the best I've had in Austin, especially paired with their thin, crispy fries. It's my go-to order almost every time. One thing I love is that they switch up the steak portion of the menu a few times a year, and it never disappoints. Right now they have the steak au poivre, which is incredible, although I'm still craving their steak frites and hoping it makes a comeback. The escargot and French onion soup are also favorites of mine. At this point, June's has become a staple in our house--usually with a couple of Diet Cokes and either the burger or whatever steak they're featuring. A few of my friends swear by the chicken sandwich (fair warning: it can get a little messy!), the half roasted chicken, and the tuna crudo, so you really can't go wrong no matter what you order. On top of the amazing food, the staff is always incredibly kind and welcoming, which keeps us coming back. I definitely recommend making a reservation since it tends to get pretty busy, especially during peak hours.

Ample amount of food and def had take away box. Everything was tasty and the buttermilk pancake was amazing with just syrup. Melissa was kind enough to provide little cups to take syrup home along with the tael away container. They had a daily special and a board above the kitchen with other items. Really wanted to try a slice of pie ( TX Pie Co) but seems a bit outta line with what I already ordered. Maybe next time.

The Lox n' found croiffin comes with a toasted croissant roll, smoked salmon, ricotta, avocado, arugula, capers, pickled onions and dill. I added an egg for an additional charge of $2. This was a beautiful and tasty sandwich! It was very filling, too. I highly recommend checking out this unique spot!

It's a small space, with only around eight tables and a tiny kitchen behind the counter. It's a bit hard to locate from outside. There's no big sign on the window indicating the restaurant's name, just a plastic A-frame sign outside the building's doors. When I got there, four of the eight tables were empty but the dirty dishes had not yet been cleared. It took close to 10 minutes for the tables to be bused. Because the kitchen is so small, I'd recommend going up to the counter to order as soon as you get there. I believe you can also place your order online using the QR code on the table, but I didn't try that method. I ordered the lox n found, a toasted croissant roll with smoked salmon, avocado, dill ricotta, arugula, onion, and capers. The menu says it also comes with a side of roasted potatoes, but mine didn't come with that. The sandwich was delicious and filling, so I definitely didn't need them, but I do feel like I didn't get what I paid for.

Sammie's has been hyped up on social media for a long time and I gotta say it's still underrated! I will gladly have Sammie's take the Pepsi challenge against red sauce joints in NYC/NJ etc. In fact, I've told friends and family that I am going to take them to Sammie's when they visit from there. We just had such a fantastic experience - everything..the vibe..the red light fixtures and the color of the booths and the floor..the service - our server was great..loved their outfits..really had an old school little italy feel to it. The food was much better than I even anticipated - as a guy who grew up on NJ diner mozzarella sticks, I have a high bar for them and these were magnificent. And seriously...taking the "everything's bigger in Texas" slogan and applying them to mozzarella sticks?! top 10 achievements of the decade. The chicken parm was perfect - well seasoned, proper amount of crisp..the basil on top...the perfect browning of the cheese. Also the lasanga was excellent..and best part - the leftovers..took it home and the next two days put them in a small cast iron and re-heated them..and the magic was right there in my hill country kitchen! Lastly and certainly not least - the cannoli...just look at the photo below.. I'll say, yes, the place is pricey but you can really easily split these entrees and then it becomes cheaper than a jersey strip center Italian joint. I have never been a fan of Negronis but the one at Sammie's changed my life! I order them everywhere I go now searching for that Sammie's Negroni high but nothing comes close to it.
