I have been to Summer Moon in Austin and loved it and was so happy to see one in Fort Worth. I ordered the Frozen Hot chocolate and it was amazing. I don't know what it is about the moon milk but i'm obsessed. The inside is very cute and has cozy vibe. This is definitely somewhere I could see myself studying if I was still in school. So jealous of the people in the apartment building next door to have a Summer Moon so close to them. Service was great, the barista was so sweet when trying to learn how to pronounce my name correctly for the order. I can see this place being my go to spot, I can't wait to come back! read more

I went to a book club meeting here and finding this location was a little tricky for me. I didn't realize that it was inside what appears to be an apartment or condominium type situation with cafes and shops interspersed throughout. From 7th street it's located across from the fancy Tom Thumb grocery store and on the same side as Max's Wine Dive. Drive in by Max's Wine Dive and it's down on the left side. Kind of hidden but eventually I found it. The patio is large and the spacious tables and benches have the whole social distancing situation covered. It's small and cute inside. If you continue walking through, past the order counter there is awesome window seating as well. It was 90 degrees outside and also I'm a newly minted coffee drinker so my eyes went directly to the Cold Drinks/ Blended section of the menu. I ordered a drink called Moon Glacier in the 16 oz. size for $4.75. It comes in Vanilla or Java Chip. I selected Java Chip and it was really good but the coffee taste didn't really come through as strongly as I expected. I enjoyed the drink though, to me, it was almost like a shake. But I'm new to coffee drinking so I don't know the correct lingo for the cold, creamy ones. I would definitely order it again. read more

If you are looking for a new coffee shop I definitely recommend trying Summer Moon. Only do they have the most amazing and delicious coffee, they have many options and the workers know their stuff!! I walked in and was a bit overwhelmed and wondered what "moon milk" was and the young lady in the front named Marisol explained it to me. Not only is her hospitality the best, but she also had a big smile and explained everything I wanted to know about Summer Moon and more!! definitely recommending Summer Moon to everybody I know. Well, I hate to do this but I think this feedback really needs to happen. I live in the building and the couple of times I came in, I had great experience and I thought this would be my regular spot. This is an awesome coffee shop but I'm now questioning the customer service training happening here. I visited today and the girl at the register didn't greet me. She was looking at me very odd, like she was upset I even walked in. Kind of off put, I asked her if they sold their cold brew coffee to go. In a deadpan voice and direct look she said "no". I was kind of caught off guard by someone enjoying the word "no" and just staring me down. It was incredibly awkward. So my next question was "can I get two large cups full of cold brew to go then?" I am trying to problem solve for this barista who seemed determined to make sure I could not buy cold brew in any quantity from her. She acquiesces and deigns to take my order and charges me $10 for two cups of coffee. She continues to giggle and gossip with her coworkers behind the counter while I'm standing there waiting to have cold coffee poured into two cups. The place is empty... 10 minutes later I'm presented with two iced coffees full of ice. I quickly explain I need these without ice, I just wanted two cups of cold brew to take home and put in the fridge. This is when she rolls her eyes at me and says in the most sarcastic tone on the planet "coooooollll...." And walks off in a huff! Even her male coworker looked at me apologetically and ran after her. I don't think anything he said helped. She came back with my coffees that she had clearly just scooped the ice out of. I could hear her giggling and gossiping with a fellow coworker as she "worked on my order". When she handed them back to me she had the fakest smile. I ended up tossing it. I'm sure that girl spat in my drinks. This encounter was so unbelievably rude that I finally asked for her name. I'm not going back to this coffee shop because of Sab. I don't know if that's her real name because she knew when I asked for it I was very unhappy with her rudeness. Still kind of shocked with this whole episode. The other times I went in the staff was kind and attentive. It seemed like the Sunday crew was just unhappy to be there and were taking it out on the patrons. Good luck to you Sab but I don't think you should be in the service industry. It's not for everyone. read more

Originally ordered their specialty drink with moon milk and just couldn't drink it. Some people may love it but for me it was like drinking straight half and half. I threw it away still full and went back up and ordered another drink. Round two americano was fine but 10 dollars in coffee/tip later I still had to add my own Splenda to my americano and I'm pretty sure was charged for almond milk again. Needless to say I didn't tip the second time. Not a terrible shop but lacks customer service. I'll stick to my regular coffee shop that would have immediately replaced the drink I clearly didn't like (the barista watched me throw it away) at no cost and actually mixed the second drink I ordered and paid them to make. read more

Giving three stars because the coffee is great but customer service is starting to go down as well as productivity. The past week I've come here twice and waited for more than 20 minutes for coffee. I even ordered online because the line was out the door, picked up breakfast at another place and came back 15 minutes later and it still wasn't ready. I had to tell them I was waiting on an online order. The person who was taking orders today was less than cheery. He didn't greet just straight to "what can I get you?" The main st location should train as they keep it moving quickly and are friendly. read more

Seriously my favorite coffee place in DFW. Both locations are great, staff is very friendly, service is quick, coffee is absolutely amazing. I haven't had anything I didn't like. My go-to's are the winter moon, quarter moon with an extra shot, and the expresso milkshake. They also sell cheesecakes in little mason jars as well as other breakfast food and baked goods, and they have a lot of really cool merch like shirts, tanks, and cups.
