I had a good feeling about this place and am so glad we made the trip! It's close to the stockyards which we didn't realize till driving in We had a warm welcome from the staff, especially Kayla. She was super friendly and made us feel right at home. This place is really cozy and we were easily able to find a table. Definitely one of our new favorites here in the Fort Worth area!

My first time at Portico was a delight! What a cool way to utilize a historic landmark into this beautiful coffee. It was like visiting a museum, as I discovered all the vintage decor and uniquely refurbished furniture. The outdoor space is also impressive- it's huge, lots of seating, a few pergolas and a garden of herbs that give off the best aroma. Noble is a kind soul, also he's the owner and barista. He told us how he makes all his own syrups and it instantly made me want to try them all. I enjoyed a cappuccino with the Gochugaru caramel- yummy! Gochugaru tastes like a spicy Korean butterscotch and I loved it. I think I found my new place to read, work and bring friends. Although I had never been to Portico, I felt at home.

This café has definitely become one of my favorites. I just went with my wife and it's incredible -- the location is great, it has accessible parking, and the interior is beautiful with a vintage touch. Now, let's talk about the coffee -- ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. I highly recommend coming here and enjoying a great cup of coffee with your eyes closed.

There's a reason why this place has such great ratings. The coffee, the customer service and the ambience is absolutely fantastic. My husband and I drove half an hour just to come check this place out and it did not disappoint. He had the banana bread latte and I had a lavender latte. So so good! Can't wait to come back and try out their Fall menu.

Portico Coffee is such a hidden gem! It's a home-y, warm, cozy, and relaxing coffee shop. There is lots of decor that gives this place a rustic charm. And there's a large outdoor area with a canopy that would be perfect to sit at when there's nice weather. I got an iced chai, which was decently good. The barista brought my drink to me at my table, which was a nice touch. There is a very small parking lot with what I think was covered with gravel, so beware if your car is sensitive. Overall, I greatly enjoyed my experience at Portico Coffee, and I'd love to go another time!

What a GEM of a coffee shop in the north side of FW. This century old house has several rooms to work, study, or sip coffee. It is carefully designed and decorated with such an artistic eye. I love the location as it is both hidden yet situated in the heart of the vast growing community. The coffee was delicious and honestly priced, and the music was perfect for the space.

Awesome coffee shop, love the vibes. Can't wait to come back! Barista was so kind and helpful. Great menu. So much seating and privacy, perfect place to work or study. It was too hot to take advantage of the outside space but looked so cute. I enjoyed my mocha, great texture. My husband enjoyed his pourover as well.

Really nice gentleman at coffee bar, very helpful. Different taste to choose from. There is also a "pop up" bakery!!! parking not so fun. Yet a chill hidden gem

Coffee culture is different everywhere you go, but I fell in love with it due to the cozy, community-oriented, warm drink wielding environment it brings. So many coffee shops have lost the personal and welcoming environment that makes this culture so great. However, Portico has the original coffee mindset that I love--it's personal, it's a cozy and homey environment, and the coffee is made with care (ie. homemade yummy syrups). Noble, the owner, was great in taking care of me while I was visiting and my basil citrus latte was on point. There's a garden patio area in the back that seems great for good weather. Enjoy!!

Such a treasure! The coffee is wonderful! I love that they use actual cups and glasses for orders in house. Speaking of the house... This is such a cool and cozy spot! It's owner run. He did such a great job of preserving the site and incorporating fun modern art in very traditional space. I love all the different rooms you can sit and work in. I especially love how each room has a lot of natural light! I'm so excited for it to cool off and enjoy the outside area as well.

Stopped by Portico after a friend recommended it and it does not disappoint. I got the fig brown sugar latte and it was a perfect blend of flavors not being too sweet at all. The building is a beautiful old house that has a great patio and they had live music going. I'll definitely be coming back here to work or enjoy time with friends.

As you can see, I very much enjoyed my latte. Date Rosemary Cardamom Latte

I also ordered their breakfast torta, which was half a torta, not the entire torta. It was decent, the bread was kind of hard. Overall, great drinks, ambience, concha, and a kid-friendly place which I love.

The double-story building is a large, open Texas beer hall that blends modern and traditional saloon styles with an intentionally eclectic, whimsical vibe reminiscent of a theme park. For instance, the bathroom doors look like jail cells with hands on the bars, while the pristine stalls feature portraits of Merle Haggard and Johnny Cash. I used the Willie Nelson and was "on the commode again". The centerpiece is a huge, three-sided bar adorned with neon signs, vintage Western memorabilia, industrial brewing equipment, and a massive wall of taps. It serves both classics and ready-to-serve frozen drinks, which you can enjoy in the pet-friendly beer garden backyard party. Order you "two pina coladas and hope they fill 'em to the brim if your world is kind of rocky and you need to learn to swim." (That was Garth Brooks or Maya Angelou). The casual, amphitheater-like patio faces an outdoor stage built into the bed of a vintage truck. The live music (even 12:30pm on a Thursday) is loud enough to be festive but managed so you don't have to scream to be heard. The entire area is covered by a massive glass and steel retractable roof, ensuring comfort in any weather, in case you don't "love a rainy night nor think it's such a beautiful sight, and hate to feel the rain on your face, taste the rain on your lips in the moonlight shadows." Groups can share high-tops around a gas fire or a lit tree, or even sit in kitschy sawed-off pickup truck beds with bench seating. You can also find lounge chairs near the outdoor fireplace, huge swinging benches, and plenty of folding beach chairs on the astroturf. For dining, you can order affordable bar food from a window and receive a pager, so there is no need to "might as well lay down and nap 'cause you've spent half your life just waiting on a nacho." I also heard there is an 11 year waiting list for an original creation), Gregory Beck (his sculptures are absolutely gorgeous and so graceful. I love the human figure and his works are extremely elegant), and Ford Smith (he paints the most vibrant and whimsical landscapes). The Dr. Suess works are amazing, of course!
