If I was rating on just customer service I'd give 5 stars! I visited on a weekend and even though it was pretty busy the staff still took time to greet us and offered to answer any questions we had. While I expected to pay for little more because it's in the stockyards, the prices were even higher than I thought. I was intrigued by their infused sugars but would normally not pay $5 for such a small package. My boyfriend however said I never get anything for myself and grabbed it. They had cute little glass bottles with corks but again were pretty pricey so I just got the sugar. It was bourbon black walnut sugar and smelled heavenly! It says you can put it on cakes/desserts, for flavoring whipped cream, or in coffee. Im a huge coffee lover so I was excited to use it! The woman working the counter was very informative and let me know of other storage options other than the tiny bottles they had there as well as instructions on how much to use. Got it home and mixed it with brown sugar because I wanted to stretch it but couldn't really taste it. I tried again with just the infused sugar in my coffee and I think I can kind of taste a small hint of the black walnut but not enough that it makes a difference. If I add more to enhance the flavor the coffee would be too sweet. Was really hoping for more flavor for such a tiny package, maybe it'd be better using it for topping desserts. But I'm not willing to spend the money again to find out.

If you are looking for unique spices or teas this is your place. There is such a variety of spices you are bound to find what you are seeking. Whether you want something already blended or you want to create your own combo. I was actually surprised by one that's had several types of zest like lemon, orange, and grapefruit. I didn't know that was a thing since I always make fresh zest. You can also find the tools necessary to blend your spices and enjoy your tea. Being in a group we got a little rushed since we wanted to see more of the stockyard. I know we plan on returning on our next visit.

Never having been to the Stockyards area, we became obsessed with this area and all of the cute shops! This one immediately pulled us in and we became very intrigued by all of the spice variations. I was in it to look at the teas and my mom kept calling me over to sniff spices with her haha. We have an INSANE spice shop where I'm from in Kansas City, but this little shop here had some spices and I haven't ever seen before. From rubs, salts, peppers, sugars....you name it. (Like bourbon black walnut sugar....woah!!!!) The two people that were working there too were very knowledgable about everything and super helpful. They gave great advice on ways to use the spice combinations on all things. I had to tell them I don't eat meat at all, and they immediately started to tell me which ones are great even on specific veggies and why. I appreciated that level of guidance!! The prices at this store a little high, but it's definitely a place where you pay for the whole experience! But when they create a good one and make you feel great about your purchase and all of the ways you can utilize everything you bought, it's 100% worth it!

Really nice staff who greet you as soon as you enter. They have a huge selection of jerkies including beef, alligator, pork and more. There were Tennessee beef jerkies, Texas jerkies, popcorn, cheese, chips, etc. my friend and I sampled a few and our favorites were the Smoked honey BBQ and The Reaper. The Reaper has a really nice spicy kick to it at the end. If you buy a minimum of 4 there is a deal.

This place was pretty cool. I liked how everything looked inside. It was cool seeing all the different spices and teas in jars. There was soooo much to choose from. The girl working there was very nice and helpful. I do not cook with spices too much but I do drink tea. It was a bit pricy but I would prefer to get tea from here over Teavana. They are so pushy at those stores.

Ask the Community - The Spice & Tea Exchange

Hello, do you sell organic loose leaf? Also, I am a zero waster, so could I bring a glass jar in to fill up tea, without buying prepackaged tea?

Frankly I was awed by how beautiful the area was and the attention to detail in the surrounding architecture. Gift is located right in the center of it and shares the space with a nail salon. I found some brands I really love that I hadn't seen in a few years. Last but not least, the employee working at the store was kind and walked us through some of the items they carry. When I walked in I was greeted by Esther and Jazmin who were available to answer any questions that I had. They have a floral area where you can select dried or fresh flowers by the strand, jewelry, hair accessories, cards, shoes, home decor, candles and clothes. The atmosphere is relaxed with upbeat music playing in the background. Esther mentioned upcoming workshops that will take place next door. They offer gift wrapping and will wrap your flowers which is a lovely touch. I picked up some dried flowers and a card. They encouraged me to explore local shops across from them. They have a small parking lot in the front and street parking is available. I look forward to returning when I'm in the area.

I visited their main Fleastyle store in the stockyards, paid for an appointment, and struggled to design a hat. They handed me a tray and then silently walked away without walking me through the process. It seemed like they were too busy doing other things to even make a connection with me. I wish it had been more personal and engaging! I didn't even end up making a hat and I got directed to go down to Wide Brim , as there were predesigned hats there. I thought about not even going to see the other hats because I did not want to experience the so called 'customer service' they provided. My husband talked me into going down to the other store just to see what they had and I am so glad I did. After walking in I started trying on the hats and started to get a bit frustrated not being able to find one that fit my head and Kayla quickly stepped over and explained exactly how they worked. After talking to her and realizing she had only been working there about a month or so we were shocked at how incredible she treated us and how much she knew about the hats! With her help I actually found a gorgeous hat that was perfect and after buying a hat box she even took the time to close the store and run to storage to get me one! Overall she turned the entire hat search into a blessing!
