Tried the wintermelon milk tea with honey boba and grass jelly. Got it at 75% sweet and it was still sweet enough. Next time I would try it at 50%. The honey boba is good and added sweetness, so maybe that's part of it. They put a large piece of grass jelly instead of smaller pieces so you kind of have to stab it with your straw to get it. The spicy popcorn chicken salad was delicious! I would absolutely order that again! The dressing went perfect with it - I got spicy but you can opt for not spicy or extra spicy. Normal spicy was perfect for me and the Green Tea latte with added boba was so good. Not too sweet, great flavor. The strawberry milk was a little too chunky for my daughter but she's a creature of habit and isn't used to fruit pieces in her milk. It was almost smoothie-like. The service was fine I guess, you use a pad to order and then when your food is ready it's set out on the counter so I didn't really talk to anyone. What happened to this location? I haven't been here in a few months, and I came in today to work on my laptop, but I was honestly surprised by how poorly maintained it felt compared to before. The floors had shoe marks all over them and looked like they hadn't been mopped in a long time. The tables were sticky and had what looked like sauce residue, possibly from popcorn chicken, and didn't seem like they had been wiped down properly. Even the restroom floor was really unpleasant, with tissues on the ground and an overall unclean feeling. Nice place to get some work done or hangout. No one is available at the front or even comes out to greet when customers walk in. You can't see clearly through the kitchen either so it was a bit challenging to get someone's attention to ask a question. Self serve ordering kiosk available. Placed an order for a Taro Snow ($7) without the crème brûlée and a Jasmine Latte ($6). I do like that the drinks automatically come with toppings that you can switch out for free - I opted for grass jelly instead of the crystal & honey boba with the Jasmine Latte. The jasmine flavor was prominent and floral - the 75% sweet was perfect. Disappointed with the taro though since it was artificial powder and not fresh taro, not something I would order again. I've hit up the Garden Grove location a lot, but since La Habra's closer, I've stopped here for the first time. There wasn't anyone at the counter to greet us, we came around 10 PM; but the place runs on a self-service system, with card and tap-to-pay machines making it easy to order. Ordered the Strawberry Tornado with no Creme Brulee. First time having it as I usually order the Aloha (I think that's what it's still called). Refreshing and sweet, but not overly sweet; no complaints. They serve food here too. I didn't get anything this time; but I've had plenty of their bites before, and it instantly brought back memories of late-night study sessions at their Garden Grove location for nursing school. The cream was a really nice way to break up the sweetness. I was worried that since it was a "Freeze" that it would be icy like a slush, but it was nice and creamy, not icy. The drink was a bit expensive at $8.50 ($8.66 with tax). My friend got the Brown Bear drink with boba and said it tasted kinda just like milk and too sweet. My other friend got the Uji Matcha Freeze (her favorite) and loved it so I guess it just depends what drink you get. The wait was around 10 minutes at around 11:30pm and CROWDED. Literally every seat was filled. Would love to come here to study or for a late night hangout though since it's one of the few drink places open till 1am. Place is huge for a boba store. Great for groups. The drinks are cheaper than most boba places I've been to. This was my first time ever trying Summerfield. Upon entering the store the interior is very cute. I loved the interior design and there was plenty of seating. When we walked in it was empty and there was not an employee at the front to greet us or take our order. It took about 10 minutes before someone realized we were there and said hello from the back window but they still did not walk over to the front to take our order. There is a self service kiosk but I would have preferred to talk to a worker since it was our first time to ask questions. We ordered their melon matcha and their tea and popcorn chicken combo. Overall the drinks were very good and chicken was flavorful. The only con for me was the lack of service and face to face in addition the giant spill on the floor they didn't seem to notice. read more

Horrible experience. This place needs to hire more employees. I've been here a few times and it's always busy so I think it's time to invest in more employees to provide better customer service especially with questions on prices or ordering. I ordered a milk tea on the self serve kiosk since no one is there personally taking orders and replaced the boba with crème brûlée topping. Again, since no one was there to ask questions I wasn't sure if it was a liquid or pudding topping. I get my drink and it doesn't have liquid or jelly so I go back. Was told it wasn't in there and then the guy forgets to remake the drink and after waiting 20 minutes another guy comes to help. Finally get the topping and honestly it is not good and the guy filled the cup with a bunch of ice and barely any drink. At the same time, just a couple sips of the tea tasted faintly watered down even though the drink didn't have any ice. Nevertheless, I'd still come back here to try a different type of tea. I also went here to do some research on my laptop, and there wasn't too much space for myself since the cafe was a little small. This location isn't as cozy as the one in Rowland Heights, but it still felt familiar in that people chatted here later into the evening. There was calming pop music playing the background, but an occasional advertisement would turn up. A few other people were studying as well, and there were many outlets available. Easily one of the best fruit teas I've had from any boba spot. The tea itself was very fresh and refreshing. It wasn't bitter at all and you can definitely taste the passion fruit and peach. It originally came with crystal boba instead of lychee jelly but I'm not a fan of crystal boba. The drink includes up to two sides so you can opt out for no additional charge! Drink overall was still fairly sweet so next time I'll get 25% sweetness. (5/5) As soon as I arrived, there was nobody to greet me but as I was ordering via kiosk someone greeted me right away. It looked like they were in the process of completing an order so that's no problem! Kiosk was easy to navigate and I was able to get the receipt via email or text message which is great! My order was finished fairly quick which was great. Make sure you add your phone number for rewards. I will definitely be back to this Summerfield Tea Bar location. I will have to stop by between 1 and 5 PM on weekdays to utilize that BOGO deal on fruit teas or milk teas. This spot definitely has the freshest, most delicious, ACTUAL TEA infused drinks that don't taste artificial and/or bitter. They have two separate gender neutral restrooms available; one for guests and one for employees. Parking lot is quite spacious for the amount of small businesses in this area right by the gas station and Home Depot. You won't find a better boba spot nearby in the immediate area. read more

Super impressed with the newest location of Summerfield in La Habra! I've never seen a more spacious, well-lit, peaceful and modern boba shop til now. The ambiance is tranquil and perfect for studying or working! It honestly actually makes me more motivated to work because the space is just so inviting! Like all Summerfield locations, the drinks are on point. We tried the strawberry milk boba, taro milk boba and roasted oolong milk tea with boba. All of the drinks were smooth and not too sweet, while the boba was perfectly chewy. We also ordered some snacks, which is always a plus, as I often want some popcorn chicken and fries to pair with my drink - and their snacks did not disappoint either! On my way out, I ordered the autumn bloom to go for my friend who is also a tea aficionado and she commented that it was super refreshing! Came here around 11:30 PM on a Wednesday evening and it was decently full. It was my first time visiting this location, so I appreciated the cashier's help and patience as I selected a drink. I ended up going with the sunset tea and swapped the crystal boba and aloe vera for honey boba and lychee jelly. I typically don't order fruit teas when I get boba, but I'm really glad I tried this one! The passionfruit and peach flavors both shine through nicely to make for a sweet (but not overly sweet) sip. Lacks customer service. It's been several occasions that the employees will straight out ignore people at the desks because there is a self service option. I've had one guy look straight up annoyed when I asked for his help. So fine, when I come in I start ordering with the kiosk instead. But then they call my name and let me know there is no more boba. So I said it's fine I'll just get a refund on the boba. The two guys were struggling and eventually tell me it's sorted. I never received my refund. They have easy online ordering as well. I ordered two drinks so I could sample them both. A hot uji matcha latte and the iced Moonlight w/ no ice so I could have it later. The Moonlight is an earl grey milk tea with boba and jelly. I subbed the cream cheese for the jelly and got both drinks at 25% sweet, to cut down on the sugar. The store is located in the same center as Home Depot, and the inside is huge! A lot of places to sit and study or hang out with friends. Very clean too. The girl working there that Wednesday morning was super sweet and made the drinks perfectly! She even filled up my tea to the top even tho I got it with no ice (that's alot of tea lol) but it was nice of her!
