I had a full hookup spot in one of the upper loops, backed the ol' Rpod into it, and was set up in a jiffy - although the spot was FAR from level and it took some extra work (and borrowing a couple of their landscaping blocks) to get 'er done. The park is very walkable and friendly. Pretty much everybody has a dog or two, so me and my new pooch met a lot of fun people. There are on-site restroom facilities, although during our visit one of them was closed most of the time. The park is kept very clean, and there were regular drive-bys by park personnel to handle any rabble-rousers (of which there were few, present company excepted). There's also a gorgeous lakefront and beach area, which I wish had been a little easier to get to - most of it is fenced off with only a couple of gates available at the far end of the park. Not a deal-breaker but it would have been nice to have easier access from where we were camped. My biggest wish is that they'd modernize their extremely antiquated website and reservation system. Perhaps I'm spoiled by technology, but it seemed way too 1992 having to actually call for a reservation.

The sprinklers came on and got all of our stuff wet. When I complained to a staff member, instead of being helpful, she responded with an attitude and said, "Excuse me?" Then on Sunday morning, they started mowing the lawn around 6 AM. There was no peace or quiet at all. I would not recommend wasting your time or money here. Washington has so many beautiful places where you can actually relax, enjoy nature, and have a peaceful camping experience.

Check in and out was easy and smooth.wr always recommend this place to people for a quite but fun get away. We loved staying in the greenhouse this winter. It was perfect for 4 adults and two kids. The third room (no pictures) had a bunk bed and one twin bed. There were two fridge/freezers. And even in unit laundry machines. During our stay,…read morehowever, wildfires were active in the region, a Red Flag Warning was in effect, and the air quality reached the "Very Unhealthy" range. The conditions became a genuine health and safety concern, and we decided we could no longer safely remain. I explained the situation to the owner, who sounded very understanding and even mentioned medical issues in her own family. We planned to leave the next day, but when the park lost power that evening, we decided not to spend the night without air conditioning in the heavy smoke and left. About 30 minutes later, the owner texted that power had been restored. A couple of days later, after seeing no refund, I contacted her. She offered a three-night credit toward a future stay. I thanked her but explained that we live on the East Coast and could not realistically use it, and asked instead for a refund of the three completely unused nights that followed our departure. We did not even ask for a refund for the night we left, despite not spending that night there. She never responded. I followed up again several days later and again received no response. We did not leave because our plans changed or because we disliked the park. We left because the conditions had become a health and safety issue. I do not blame Pine Near for the wildfires, smoke, or power outage, but I could find nothing in its published policy stating that guests who must leave early under dangerous natural conditions forfeit payment for all unused nights. The park also appeared only about half occupied during our stay. Policies and profits matter, but health, fairness, compassion, and common sense should matter more. We made every reasonable effort to stay and even accepted paying for the night we left. Keeping our money for three additional nights we could not safely use--and then ignoring two requests to reconsider--was unacceptable. For that reason, I cannot recommend Pine Near.

This is a small little RV park and campground, but I love how the owners take excellent care of the place. One guy was always out planting and watering the plants and flowers. Another guy was literally cleaning the bathrooms several times in the day. The restrooms are nice and clean!! (Showers are available too here) The campsites are alright, but if you have preference and/or a group, I highly recommend getting the lots 31, 32, 33 area. Wow, more room, away from the main road, more trees, and a couple boulders to climb on. It looks bigger than the spot we had, which was spot 4, next to the restrooms. Firepits are very small, but we still used it to make s'mores. They also have a little enclosed basketball area. Sites 17-30 are basically next to the main road. You will hear the road noise, especially if you're camping in a tent, but I still like staying at this campground because there's not many other options for an RV park. Across the street is a gas station and Safeway. You're within a minute or two from downtown too. If you're into climbing, you're not that far from Icicle Creek climbing area either. We would stay here again with friends if we camped/rented a trailer again.

The RV resort feels tucked away in the forest, giving it a cozy and secluded vibe. The sites have water and electric hookups (no sewer), and the bathrooms and showers were spotless. Showers operate with quarters, while the restrooms are free. The restaurant was a great bonus and really added to the stay. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner with hearty portions and delicious food. We loved that they also host weekly specials and events like free Bingo on Mondays, Taco Tuesday, Prime Rib Friday, and live music on Saturdays. Out back there is a spacious yard with picnic tables, yard games, and a stage for music, which makes it feel like a little community hub. There is also a gas station and convenience store next door, which came in handy for basics and propane tank refills. The location itself is perfect. It is only about 15 minutes to downtown Leavenworth's Bavarian village and very close to Lake Wenatchee State Park for outdoor adventures. A big shoutout to Vito, the host, who is very hands-on and attentive, especially in the restaurant. You can tell he takes pride in making sure guests are well taken care of. Prices were very reasonable for both the RV sites and the restaurant. The only thing I would suggest is adding a fenced-in dog run, but there are trails on the property where you can walk your dog, so it was not a big issue. Overall, this is a great spot if you want a peaceful RV stay with excellent food, fun activities, and close access to both Leavenworth and Lake Wenatchee. Highly recommend!

There is a large pond in the park that you can use for calm water activities. Our grandsons had a blast making friends, cycling and paddle boarding. Update.... After posting my review the staff contacted me…read moreand stated that the owners will refund me 40% of my reservation. I do not recommend Icicle River RV Park. They have a very strict cancellation policy, even when two active fires are affecting the area near their campground. The Three Queens Fire and Little Giant Fire caused the Air Quality Index to reach the 170-185 range, which is considered unhealthy for everyone. My husband has stage 4 cancer and is currently undergoing treatment. We had hoped the air quality would improve, but seven days before our scheduled arrival, we contacted the campground to explain our health concerns. The staff instructed me to send an email and include a letter from my husband's oncologist. I followed their instructions and provided the requested documentation. After several email exchanges, I was told our request would be forwarded to the owners and that we would receive their decision. It has now been more than a week, and I have yet to hear from them. Our reservation was for 10 nights and totaled more than $1,000. This was a vacation we were truly looking forward to, and canceling was not a decision we made lightly. We live in Los Angeles and had planned to travel through Washington, but given my husband's health and the unhealthy air quality--particularly in the area of this campground--his oncologist advised us not to make the trip. Every other campground we had reservations with was understanding of our circumstances and refunded our money after we explained the situation. Unfortunately, this campground has continued to ignore our request despite being provided with documentation from my husband's oncologist. We did not simply change our minds or decide we no longer wanted to go. We are following the medical advice of my husband's doctor because of his cancer and ongoing treatment. It is extremely disappointing that, under these circumstances, they would choose to keep more than $1,000 rather than show compassion and concern for a customer's health and safety. I also find their lack of transparency concerning. They pride themselves on being a longtime family-owned business, yet when I asked for the owners' names, no one would provide them. I also asked for the names of the employees I had been communicating with by phone and email, and they would not provide those either. I find that very unusual and an example of poor customer service. Based on the way our situation has been handled, the lack of communication, and the unwillingness to respond to a medically necessary cancellation request, I cannot recommend this campground.
