This full hook up tv resort has great views and access to a river. Many sites have shade trees. It is conveniently close to town but not in the hustle bustle. You can unwind quietly after a day of activity. After traveling around the country with our trailer I can confidently say this is one of my top choices to stay. This is my 2nd time here. The staff (Matt) was friendly and helpful. Helped us park and refilled our propane when we accidentally ran out. The laundry room has an app to use the machines. I really liked it because it notified me when my load was done and I didn't have to have a bunch of quarters. The bathroom was clean. It had toilets and showers. We used a fire stick for tv and our Netflix worked no problem. I hope to be back again! read more

Update.... After posting my review the staff contacted me and stated that the owners will refund me 40% of my reservation. I do not recommend Icicle River RV Park. They have a very strict cancellation policy, even when two active fires are affecting the area near their campground. The Three Queens Fire and Little Giant Fire caused the Air Quality Index to reach the 170-185 range, which is considered unhealthy for everyone. My husband has stage 4 cancer and is currently undergoing treatment. We had hoped the air quality would improve, but seven days before our scheduled arrival, we contacted the campground to explain our health concerns. The staff instructed me to send an email and include a letter from my husband's oncologist. I followed their instructions and provided the requested documentation. After several email exchanges, I was told our request would be forwarded to the owners and that we would receive their decision. It has now been more than a week, and I have yet to hear from them. Our reservation was for 10 nights and totaled more than $1,000. This was a vacation we were truly looking forward to, and canceling was not a decision we made lightly. We live in Los Angeles and had planned to travel through Washington, but given my husband's health and the unhealthy air quality--particularly in the area of this campground--his oncologist advised us not to make the trip. Every other campground we had reservations with was understanding of our circumstances and refunded our money after we explained the situation. Unfortunately, this campground has continued to ignore our request despite being provided with documentation from my husband's oncologist. We did not simply change our minds or decide we no longer wanted to go. We are following the medical advice of my husband's doctor because of his cancer and ongoing treatment. It is extremely disappointing that, under these circumstances, they would choose to keep more than $1,000 rather than show compassion and concern for a customer's health and safety. I also find their lack of transparency concerning. They pride themselves on being a longtime family-owned business, yet when I asked for the owners' names, no one would provide them. I also asked for the names of the employees I had been communicating with by phone and email, and they would not provide those either. I find that very unusual and an example of poor customer service. Based on the way our situation has been handled, the lack of communication, and the unwillingness to respond to a medically necessary cancellation request, I cannot recommend this campground. read more

Icicle River Rv Resort (Sida) called me for my credit card info and I asked about the fire's and Sida( the lady that answered the phone) said, not bad at all! We have friends that live there and they called us the next day and said, they were leaving because it's so bad that you can't go outside. So I called Sida and she said, it's bad today and I told her we talked to our friends and they said it's been bad all week. She wouldn't refund our money knowing it's been bad all week. I have breathing problems she didn't care and lied to us about the fires. I recorded her saying it was fine. I just called my credit card and filed a complaint for a refund. Horrible customer service and she lied!! I feel everyone should read the reviews/complaints because they are all horrible customer service. All I can say is be careful dealing with these people. read more

The creek is beautiful to look at and listen to at night if you get a river front site. Unfortunately thats the only positive of this RV park. Not realizing the time change. We arrived 45 minutes early after driving for 8 1/2 hours from West Glacier MT. The host quickly pointed out that we would need to pay an extra $25.00 dollar fee (with taxes $27.10). We agreed because we were tired. The spaces are extremely close to each other. The fire rings are broken and hard to build a fire without smoke, intruding on your neighbors due to the close site proximity. The park is definitely not dog friendly, no where for dogs to play or do their business. Signs all over the park where dogs should not go or be, but they don't provide anywhere but an overgrown area behind the dumpsters with a sign to pick up but no doggie bags provided. It's clear the river front sites are their money makers because other areas of the park are in need of attention or under repair. The staff could be a littler more personable. On a couple of occasion we said good morning to no response. We left a day early without a refund and would of left earlier, but our next stop did not have openings. read more

I was yelled at for something I did not sell them. She would not give me any information about how she was overcharged or what went wrong. She was extremely rude and felt justified in her behaviors for something I might have been able to help her with. No way to treat people. read more

We have been coming to Icicle River RV park once or twice a year for about 10 years now. The grounds are fantastic. Big trees, clean, everything groomed, and just a really pretty setting along the river. The campground hosts have always been friendly when we arrived and will show you to your site and help you back/pull-in. The Bathrooms and other facilities are all well-maintained and clean. There are two downsides to this wonderful place: If you want to make any changes to your original reservation you could run into issues. As noted by others, some of the staff is not friendly and can be pretty rude, particularly when they are on the phone and not talking to you face-to-face. Unfortunately, this is a pretty consistent issue that has driven most of my camping friends to other campgrounds around the area. The final downside is that its ridiculously expensive. For us that hasn't been a real issue, but not everyone can afford $100-$160 right to have a rig here. I can understand why this is a deterrent. We are visit the campground at the same time every year, and this year it is the emptiest we have ever seen it, so perhaps they will figure out that customer service and competitive rates are keys to a full campground. read more

Use to be our favorite place but not after last years issues. This year They have raised prices to almost double for holidays. By the way their future seems to be eliminating RV spots and putting in Small tiny homes directly on the river RV lots. Also they are at $120.00 a night during holidays without having a pool, no children's play ground and a ton of spots without concrete pads and not enough 50 amp hookups. Poor Wi-Fi and crappie cable. Last year we came here about 5-6 times and this year only once. It is a beautiful campground but not worth the inconveniences. read more

RV park was 0k. All standard site services available. Price was about $46 w AAA discount. No WI-Fi that was reliable. Bathrooms and showers looked nice but were closed due to Covid. Site was under tree with fruit that fell all over my RV. Close to Leavenworth and you could walk to the resort next door called the Sleepy Lady which had a beautiful garden. Beautiful, well maintained grounds with mature trees and plenty of shade and a great location on the river. However, these benefits cannot make up for terrible traffic flow for vehicles and poor customer service. In addition, there are a number of unsaid and unmarked park rules and regulations of which anyone staying or visiting may run afoul. For example, when exiting or entering the facility, please be aware that there is only one lane of permitted traffic. This can often result in face offs between vehicles with the entering vehicle needing to stay on the left and the exiting vehicle being forced into crossing over to the wrong side of the road on the left (welcome to England). The exiting vehicle then needs to stay in a holding area on the left until all entering vehicles have proceeded into the park. This causes long delays and backups, especially on Fridays and Sundays with multiple large RVs coming and going. This confusing arrangement is NOT marked on pavement and the inevitable conflicts result in overly aggressive Camp "facilitators" yelling at one or both drivers to direct them into this chaotic pattern. In addition, there are multiple parking spots that are reserved for cabins and RV spots, without being marked as such, causing more potential for conflict. Due to the level of stress encountered when visiting or staying here, I cannot recommend either visiting or staying here until: 1. an additional lane of traffic or a "through loop" is constructed 2. All dedicated parking spots are clearly marked as such and for which cabin or spot. 3. The staff on site are given additional training in courtesy and customer service demeanor. It is not the visitor or camper that has the privilege of being their customers, but rather their privilege to have us as customers. They need to thus reduce the arrogance and improve their respectfulness and courtesy. read more

The resort has many nice amenities, but this is offset by the extended check in time and in my opinion, early check out. During the Covid, many people depend on the internet and wifi to communicate with family and work. This resort has very little in the way of any good communication. Poor wifi and no access to the net. Money would be well spent upgrading the communication systems for park users. P.S. as a courtesy, do not mow the lawns of occupied sites and blow the grass and dust on the coaches and TT's it really is annoying! Don't believe the negative reviews regarding staff, everyone we met was very pleasant. Well shaded sites, grass in between, we lucked out with a nose in river front site. No permanent residents, some seasonal guests, no attitude towards people staying a few nights. Quiet, peaceful place, yes they enforce the rules, but they are all standard stuff. I would highly recommend this place to adults and people traveling with children. Yes the reservation system is old school, and somewhat difficult, but worth the effort. read more

There were a lot of bad reviews we were skeptical but we had a great experience. The people that worked there were very nice to us. We were in a spot with no shade it was 98 degrees and we have dogs so they were able to move us to a shaded spot. They are very experienced at directing backing vehicles into spots. They helped us re-hook up our rig. Positives: beautiful, fun town. Clean bathrooms and free shower. Laundry facility. Park is on River. Cable TV. Well maintained pretty park. No Mosquitos!!!! Negatives: Poor WiFi and we have Verizon and could only get 1 or 2 bars on our smartphones. Spaces not big, not all have fire rings. Pet area not ideal. No play area for kids. This long weekend in August 2013 is our first stay at Icicle River RV Resort (IRRR). Contrary to some reviewers, I found the folks at IRRR to be very nice. At check in, the lady behind the desk was friendly enough, particularly considering that there were several RVs waiting to check in. She got us registered and directed to our site in just a few minutes. At our site another staff member was waiting to spot us as we backed our 36' coach into our site. Within a couple of minutes he had us perfectly straight on the concrete pad. When we asked if our site was available for an additional night, the office staff said that it was and handled the additional charge efficiently and courteously. Now, as to the review comments about IRRR water pressure damaging RV piping, it is pretty common knowledge that you must use a pressure reducing valve (PRV) between any city water connection and the RV. An RVer who is ignorant of this procedure has nobody to blame but himself. Now, about the facility... Beautiful grassy lawns, well maintained and watered. Bathrooms kept clean. Rules enforced to maintain an great environment. The Icicle River runs along one side of the IRRR and is beautiful. A negative is the Wi-Fi coverage in the park which is anemic to the point of being unusable depending on your location. They need additional antennas. I would not hesitate to stay at the IRRR again. read more

The river front site was beautiful. That's the good. The restrooms were closed due to Covid. We had made reservations almost two years ago. They should have emailed everyone with reservations that there were no restrooms. By the time they let us know everything else was full. I've camped close to 40 nights this summer and every other campground had their restrooms open. It seemed like they were just being lazy by keeping them closed. They people were so cranky, we were not made to feel welcome. This place could be fantastic IF under new management. Not returning and don't recommend. WiFi was so bad we went to town and got a hotel room to watch the Hawks! read more

Had reservations at this weekend at this RV park. At first I was a little leary because I thought it was located closer to town. To my surprise it was an amazing place to camp. Everyone was super friendly and a very well maintained seasonal park. We were in Leavenworth to partake in the Oktoberfest festivities. Not only was there a shuttle you could take in town that was donation based. The shuttle arrived every 45 minutes. The energy of the town was upbeat and positive. The staff at the park were helpful and even provided coffee / cookies in the morning to the patrons. Before leaving we booked our site for next year. Highly recommend this park if you have a RV and want to get a taste of the beautiful scenery it has to offer. read more

Such a beautiful clean well secured camp ground! Meticulously taken care of and lots of shade! The river is right there and the mountains are in the background. The park is pretty big and well thought out, each place having cable and water and sewer. Just minutes to Leavenworth and not far from Cashmere and Wenatchee. The people are top notch with RV's. They do not allow tents. The host was great and even took us right to our spot, helping us steer into our site. Felt really lucky to be camping there! This is our third year and our last. The staff were just cranky and did not give us a welcoming feeling totally ruined our annual Leavenworth experience this year. In addition, they have done no maintenance in three years to the rest rooms near the cabins. Tracking down some molding and replacing a little vinyl would go a long way. If you want WiFi - think again. The signal is so weak that you might as well forget it. If you want a quiet, clean place, and can overlook the cranky staff and lack of WiFi - it is very nice. Oh, and it is not all the staff - just one guy. We think his name is Allen. Next year, a new adventure without Icicle RV. read more

Driving through the camp ground per posted speed limit of five miles per hour watching out for the kids on bikes and I get stopped by the night watchman speed natzi demanding my name saying I was driving too fast. This is a great RV park in a beautiful wooded setting... Lots of trees ..clean bathrooms.. nice river sites available too..It is located in a little canyon west of town. Very nice people run the place and are helpful with local info and even directing your parking.. We arrived in the dark and they were waiting when we arrived. ( we had reservations). Cable TV great!! Wifi a little weak.. Just got knocked off.. I would definitely stay again.. Saw the other two choices and would still stay here.. Price is good $40, compared to $75 at other park ..Not near Frwy and drive not far from town..great stop over or stay awhile.. Arrived around 9:30 Friday night, found my reserved spot on my own, was attempting to turn my trailer around to back into my spot when an old white man on a golf cart approached me screaming that I was going to hit something. Once he walked around my truck and saw there was nothing to hit and I was in complete control the entire time he got noticeably embarrassed and said "whatever, just hit whatever you want then" and stormed off into the dark on his high horse of a golf kart. Super unfriendly first introduction to park staff. Other than this unwelcoming, welcome party, the grounds of the rv park were seemingly well kept and the park is located in a beautiful location. read more

Nice park with good utilities. Summertime crowded with lots of locals. Wi'fi weak at times. There's not much room for unhooking and hooking up your tow vehicle if in a motorhome. We did not enjoy the Disney, Touristy, over-crowded and over-rated Leavenworth so will avoid this area in the future. The play Sound of Music is a very nice production so don't miss seeing it if you are in the area during production. read more

We just stayed 3 nights at this RV resort, we were a little hesitant after reading some of these reviews. We are in the Restaurant/Bar business and we get how this Yelp thing works. 1) if I don't get my way I'll give a bad review. 2) if I had a great experience I'll keep it to myself and not write a review..., So we've learned how to decipher Yelp reviews. We did get off to a bad start with Mark the camp host, but it was totally our fault, in our business we always get a late start, and didn't arrive until 1:30am. They were very organized had a cork board for late arrivals w/a map to our site we tried to go to it but not w/ a tow car. Mark came out helped unhook the car ( a little grouchy) but who wouldn't be at 1:30 in the morning. When we purchased fire wood the next day he offered & did deliver it to our site. Yes wood was $5.00 a bundle, but they cut it deliver it, & have the right to make A $.... This is a very peaceful, tranquil, and relaxing park. Everyone we had contact with was very polite, and helpful, even the one we pissed off.... If your fixing to have a High School kegger this is probably not your spot, but if you want to get out of your Bar and relax, and sleep like a baby w/ the sound of the Icicle River going by you door then this is a definite destination resort.... Virginia the manager is very rude. I called several times to make a reservation and no answer. So I made the reservation online after carefully reviewing all of the information on the booking site and I entered the length of our fifth wheel. The site details showed that the length of the spot I was looking at which is spot number 75 was 52 feet long and was big enough to accommodate large RVs and fifth wheels. I thought everything looked right, especially considering that the website has you input how long your rig is so I figured that the output would show sites that were only applicable to the specific length of the vehicle you entered this was not the case in Virginia called me within two hours of making the reservation to let me know that the small print shows exactly how long of each vehicle the spot can accommodate. She continuously interrupted me to tell me that they can't put all the information on the site because it would be too much information and how it was my fault I didn't read the fine print and that I would be charged the cancellation fee since they didn't have anything available that would fit our 44 foot fifth wheel. As I tried to explain the situation to her she continuously spoke over me and tried to prove her point. It was clear that she was more interested in being right and then listening to anything I had to say she made the whole thing into such a big deal about how she wasn't going to refund me the $25. I mean if the business is hurting that bad for money then maybe they should get different management so that they have repeat customers. I guess they are more interested in only having first time visitors than repeat customers. PLEASE BEWARE!! The other reviews about for customer service are spot on. Virginia has poor customer service and no sympathy whatsoever. This is our first season owning a fifth wheel and I'm not super familiar with everything to include the acronyms that are listed on the site. You think she'd be a little more understanding. Just disappointed that Virginia wouldn't see I I with me and do what any other will establish business would've done in this situation in order to have a repeat customer. Will not be giving them any of my business EVER! Oh and one last thing when I asked for the owners name and contact information she lied to me and told me that the owner was not involved in the business and that she had full authority to do whatever she wanted to do when my husband called and spoke with her she told him that she was going to give me a refund after calling the owner but the owner said absolutely not because I was the one that was rude to her. What?! I was trying to get my refund back so I was super nice to her for over 10 minutes and finally I got fed up knowing she wouldn't refund me so yeah I got nasty with her and I gave it right back to her. I'll handle the full refund on my end with my credit card. You cannot keep somebody's money within an hour of making a reservation. read more

Beautiful forest setting with full hook-ups! Very relaxing with gorgeous views, well maintained grounds, sound of the river, deer at your campsite, and the staff are wonderful! Minutes from the little Bavarian Village of Leavenworth. What a bargain this is per night compared to the hotel prices in town. I get to sleep in my own bed and have all of this natural beauty surrounding me. It is like staying in an upscale tree house. Absolutely amazing! read more

Nice setting and the facility are okay. I will not return because the staff is unfriendly and rude. They run this place like it is a boot camp or some sort of a prison. An example would be not allowing more than one car per RV site even though it would fit and in no way be in the road. They got on our case about everything, we took our dogs on leashes to the horseshoe pit area and where immediately told that was not allowed there are signs but it was like we where being attacked the way the staff told us to leave. Seemed like every camper had a dog and there was no decent pet area. This place is in a great setting right on the river but the staff ruins it.... stay away. read more

This is the 2nd year my family has stayed in this park over Memorial Day weekend and we won't be staying again, should have learned the first stay. The park is nestled up the Icicle Road right on the river, nice setting. It has a huge water pressure issue, which they do not mention at all on their website but the first year it lead to a flood in our trailer, after telling them off the issue they then tell you that they sell a part that can regulate the water pressure...this trip we didn't have the issue because the water pressure regulator but several of the people around us had the issue which lead to leaks in their trailers. They nickle and dime you for everything, only 2 adults are included in a reservation so each additional adult is $5/night along with any other vehicle is also an extra charge. Even kids 6-16 Y/O are not free. You also cannot park your extra vehicle in the site, even though there is plenty of additional space. My Mom upon registering when they first arrived had a very unpleasant experience with the people in the office. Some how they booked her reservation (which was booked in person the previous Memorial Day weekend by the office staff) as a AAA rate, they asked for her AAA card and she said she didn't have AAA she has other roadside assistance. They made sure to make her feel like it had been her fault and basically like she had done something wrong even though the staff in the office setup the reservation. I went in to register an additional vehicle and persons I felt the staff in the office was super unfriendly and rude. They really do not go out of there way to make you feel welcome in their park at all from the minute you drive in and all through out your stay. They pretty much watch everything you do and make sure to call you out right when you do something they don't like, ie. temporarily parking in an empty spot to unload your belongings or accidentally walking your dog through a wrong area. We will never come back to this park, there are so many parks that are better than this and make you feel more welcome. Word to the wise...stay away :) read more

Beautiful seting close to the ''bavarian'' village of Leavenworth (about two to three hours northeast of Seattle, a gorgeous drive through spectacular North Cascades). They have cute camping cabins but no tent camping. I'm not an Rv'r but the cabins are basic but nice, they have wifi (great feature in this area!0 and near the cold and beautiful Icicle River. The most spectacular attractions are the mountains, meadows and river. Glorious nature! If you are an outdoorsy sort of Rv'r this is a good place to go. read more

Oh my! This is an awesome RV Resort right by Leavenworth Washington. The pads are all concrete with full hookups & the river area is just beautiful clear water. It's a little pricey but worth it. The management was great & shows you to your site. Helps you with whatever you might need. The little Bavarian town of Leavenworth is just darling. read more
