Easy to find and access. Plenty of parking. A nice place to walk around. Some scenic views of the mountains and DTS. Playing fields and a kids playground are provided along with a public bathroom. There is also a walking trail that goes between housing subdivisions following a natural wash. About ten minutes into the walk I reached Hualapai. Once I crossed Hualapai at the pedestrian crosswalk, it leads to yet another walking trail lined with tall trees and exercise stations. I'm very thankful that there are pedestrian crosswalks provided along the way. read more

Summerlin Centre Community Park (also known as Community Park) is a twenty acre park in the Summerlin Centre neighborhood. It is currently a local park that the Summerlin Council manages. Being that it is in the periphery of Downtown Summerlin, which is creeping up against the park from the west, I could see it taking on the character of a regional park. Based on my two walks here in 2021, I used it as a regional park when in the summer, my brother and I walked here and back from the Downtown Summerlin mall and in the fall when I combined it with a walk on the Peccole Ranch Walking Trail and The Green.     When I hear the words "Summerlin" and "park" I anticipate that the park is going to be attractive, well kept, and for the most part safe. This park is the atypical attractive and well kept Summerlin park. Within the twenty acres of this rectangular park that is bordered by Town Center Drive to the west, a natural wash to the south, a parking lot with a walking path to the east, and a drive to the north is an immaculately kept field of healthy green grass. I got the impression that the majority of the green field is used for soccer. This leads me to think that it is primarily an active use park with an enthasis on soccer. However, it provides a few other amenities in the southeast area of the property. This includes a playground, picnic tables, and gazebo. There is also a restroom.    During my walks by the golf course green fields that is divided by a perpendicular walking path bridging the back of the park to Town Center Drive, it was quiet. Instead of people playing soccer, there were people walking solo and with their dogs. The attractive walking paths that are bordered by palm trees, mature trees, and orange painted street lamps made for a nice walk. A unique aspect about the scenery is that instead of overlooking the Las Vegas Strip skyline, it overlooks the Downtown Summerlin skyline which includes Red Rock Resort and the nearby Red Rock Canyon escarpment. Being a nature lover, my favorite part of the park was the natural wash at the south. My favored spot to take it in was on the pedestrian bridge bridging the green field to a south parking lot. I think that it is a shame that the Summerlin planners seem to have overlooked incorporating this natural wash into the Downtown Summerlin landscape.    Summerlin Centre is more than the park proper. In fall experience here, I incorporated it in an hours long hiking adventure. Extending from the park's northeast and southeast corners are paved walking paths that are contiguous with the one contiguous to the parking lot. The one at the northeast leads to a nearby park called The Green. The Yelp Business Listing shares how beautiful and peaceful this spot is. The one at the southeast follows the wash east through the Summerlin Centre Community to Hualapai Way where it ends. The same orange painted streetlamps in the park proper tower alongside the trail. What is interesting is that it ends exactly at the same point on Hualapai Way as the southern leg of the Peccole Ranch Walking Trail does. If there was a tunnel, bridge, or crosswalk the walking path would provide a direct connection between the two parks. The same wash that I enjoyed taking in from the pedestrian bridge continues along the Peccole Ranch Walking Trail. If you want to engage in this hike, my recommendation is to walk south alongside Hualapai Way to Sahara Avenue, then north on Hualapai Way to connect to the Peccole Ranch Walking Trail. Or to walk north to Charleston Boulevard and cross Hualapai Way to the Smith's Shopping Center. Behind the shopping center at the southwest corner is an entrance to Peccole Ranch Walking Trail. In conjunction with The Green and Peccole Ranch Walking Trail, the Summerlin Community Park was a four star part of my hours long hiking adventure in Summerlin and Peccole Ranch.    Just as I have been impressed with several of the Summerlin parks that I shared on Yelp, the same holds true for the Summerlin Centre Community Park. I could see myself returning to this attractive park in the shadow of Downtown Summerlin and the Red Rock Canyon escarpment sometime in the future. read more

Litter free park, meant for kids 6 and under. The padding needs a serious upgrade. I don't like that chain link fences are used to separate the soccer field from the park. I'm sure kids have gotten the bejeezus scared out of them because balls have hit it, plus this is Summerlin...come on. If you're looking for a large area of grass this is definitely your place!!! read more

I take a walk at around 1:00am to clear my head it's super quiet a lot of the lights are off but they do have lights on the sidewalks on they now have cops patrol as I saw just last night and points for safety I guess usually it isn't sketchy but sometimes there are some cars that'll pull up and if u get to close they speed off which is defiantly suss read more

I often bike through this park. It has been a great asset to Summerlin. Like all Summerlin parks, this one is taken care of very well by the landscapers who mow the grass, trim the palm trees, and keep the watering on schedule. In cooler months, there are often soccer games going into the late evening under the lighted fields. I have also been to the park many times for special events. This is the home of the Summerlin Arts Festival. It's a nice place to bring a coffee and pastry and sit and enjoy the view of the sandstone cliffs of Red Rock Canyon and the limestone mountains that make up this section of the Spring Mountains. When Summerlin builds out the Summerlin Centre area and finishes the mall, this park will most likely earn a 5th star because it will be a sea of tranquility among the bustling of traffic going to/from the mall. read more

This is a small park close to Red Rock Casino. They've got a big grassy area that's ideal for soccer or football or just hanging out. The kiddie area is smaller than many parks around town, as they only have one play area (most others have two). That play area has all the usual stuff: swings, slides, monkey bars... all sorts of stuff for kids to climb on. This isn't one of the parks in my regular rotation but makes for a good change of pace so my kid doesn't get too bored. The last time I was here it must have been "father and kid day at the park." There were probably six or seven other dads who had the same idea as me. This park also makes for a good location to watch the fireworks over Red Rock during the fourth of July. Close enough to see them without having to deal with all the traffic at the casino. read more

This park is always nice and clean, not too crowded. There is a small shaded playground area on the south end that is great for the kids. It does not have a water feature, but does have the standard swings and playground equipment. The park mostly consists of large open grassy field space for various sports. My husband plays ultimate frisbee there on the weekend. We also sometimes come in the evening and walk our dog or sit and have a picnic on the grass. read more

My son and I enjoy walking to this park from our house. Everyone is super friendly & he enjoys playing on the playground and soccer fields. Because it is a pet friendly park I'd love to see some upgrades to include a designated pet park. It would also be great if summerlin could upgrade the padded ground in the play area and maybe convert the parking lot on the south end to include a splash pad and a basketball court or tennis court. The park really has fantastic views of the mountains nearby. I attended an art fair there a few weeks ago that was a blast. This park is good for playing any sports that require lots of flat ground. Soccer, football, ultimate frisbee, etc. read more

This park is very well cared for. Great views and plenty of walking areas. There are always shaded places to walk in the heat. But heads up around the soccer fields! The balls do go everywhere. I have been to other parks in Vegas. Some have a lot of trash and discarded food on the ground. Not good if you are walking a dog with stomach problems! But this place is immaculate. read more

When it comes to parks, it seems like newer is almost always nicer. My favorite Las Vegas parks have changed over the years, and they keep moving westward with the urban sprawl. Growing up, I loved Sunset Park. In recent years, I have preferred Desert Breeze Park. But now Summerlin Centre Community Park is my park of choice. I just "discovered" it over the summer, so it's been too hot for me to fully enjoy it, but I'm looking forward to spending more time here in the cooler months ahead. The view of the Spring Mountains to the west is very pleasant, and so is the fact that the park is not overrun with dogs. It will be great to come here for a picnic on a mild, breezy day, and just relax for the afternoon. UPDATE (01/18/2011): Now that I've been back a few times, I'm revising the content of my review but not my rating. The times I've been back, there is usually one person (occasionally two) playing fetch with their dog in one of the wide open fields. The small playground area in one corner of the park is usually bustling with children while their parents stand around and supervise them. There is plenty of space in the central fields to play catch or fly a kite or operate a remote-controlled model airplane, or to plant a chair and read a book, all of which I have seen people doing. The thing I enjoy most is jogging around the perimeter of the park (on the paved walkway) to get my exercise. read more

Within walking (or jogging) distance of the house this has become my 'go to' for weekend runs and although somewhat smaller than other parks in the area it is never been crowded; a big plus considering the sometimes narrow paths and bikers. Featuring great views of the mountains and a number of large fields for various sports I've not been here late enough in the day to see much of the later, though I have seen a few folks out simply playing catch as early as 8:00am. read more

It is one of the better and nicer park in Las Vegas,lots of plenty parking,unless there is a big event,then parking might be tight, overall there is a little something for everyone, a kid's playground for the the little ones, sand volleyball court, basketball for those who shoot hoops, roller derby hockey, tennis courts, bocce ball area too,and load of lawn to meander, walk your dog and just hang out and picnic.. Just a little fyi , in the evening the kids are a little more rambunctious and the parents are too busy to care....It is my favorite place to walk my dog, she loves it there,as she gets to meet a bunch of other dogs and their owners. read more
