I have a five star review posted due to the fact that the problem was taken care of. However, the follow up wasn't so great. During the process of opening my sewer, parts of my patio was tore out unnecessarily. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was PROMISED this would be fixed once the ground settled. After three months of waiting, I called the office and once again I couldn't reach a live person so I left a message requesting a patio repair. Nobody called me back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]A week later, I called again, left a message stating they had 10 days to fix the patio or I was going to have it repaired myself and send Summer's the bill.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The plumbing manager, David called me back stating the patio would be framed on Thursday and cement poured on Friday OR the whole thing would be done on Friday.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Thursday came, nobody showed. Friday, two men showed up stating they would frame it that day and come back, "Sometime next week to finish it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I said, "NO it will be done today as promised" as I had scheduled someone to plant grass the following Monday."[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After one worker trying to wiggle out of it, I insisted the cement would be poured that day. The cement was poured but on Sunday when I was told I could take the frame off, I saw they only poured 1.5" of concrete on a 4" slab!! This isn't even up to code and the work was sloppy! This serves no value to me as I am now going to have to have this fixed by someone who actually takes pride in their work and knows what they are doing. as a single mom, they refused to help me fix my hot water heater due to my credit score and not having abundance of money therefore I was left with a broken hot water heater to shower, my children and myself with cold water since then they have had pneumonia and I'm still struggling to to get the funds to be able to purchase a new hot water heater for my children and myself I have nobody but myself and my children and their minors. It's sad that a business will not help you out or come up payment plan that works with people with low income and not a score they don't value people unless you have lots of money or high credit score read more

I believe I was subject to a bait and switch sales offer. I received an offer for a free service call plus $47 off. I called for an estimate of a small repair to replace the pop-up assembly on a bathroom sink. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They would not provide over the phone and said the tech would provide before starting any work.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I received a visit from a salesman (not the tech), who asked to see my over prior to providing a quote.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He then quoted net amount of $370 (after free service call and $47 off). I was shocked by the price, but was told that I would owe for the service call if I didn't proceed. After reluctantly agreeing, the tech came out and completed the repair in 20 minutes. Later I reviewed Indeed recruiting website, and found that employee complaints about aggressive sales practices , where employees felt they needed to sell a minimum of $1,000 per day to keep their job. The techs were polite, and performed to job quickly and accurately, but would advise to stay clear of this company due to unethical sales practices. ​ read more

A somewhat urgent request, but we are on a routine-maintenance "subscription" plan with Summers. We have used Summers for the past 3 years for HVAC checkups, disposal replacement, hookup of a new gas stove, and bathroom plumbing issues. I always learn a little from their techs, although I occasionally feel a little sales pressure for system replacements. Today's call for help with outage of a fairly new water heater was answered by a technician arriving in about one hour. We have had a yearly service agreement with Summers Heating and Cooling since 2022 and had been somewhat satisfied until last year when my daughter's air conditioning failed. I recommended she contact Summers for an estimate. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The lead salesman, Aaron Brown, general manager told her she needed an entire HVAC system for a cost of $33,000 and was very pushy![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Being a newly wed and just starting out, that was quite a shock. I then recommended someone who has done work for our family in the past and does this kind of work. He determined all they needed was to replace the air conditioning and they did not need an entire HVAC system. He completed the work for $2000 and that was over a year ago and everything is working fine. They are very happy and very relieved. Shortly before that, we had signed a yearly agreement with Summers which expires in July 2025. In the fall, an employee came out to service the heater and the AC inspection and tune-up was to be scheduled for the spring of this year. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I told him that we would not be renewing our agreement the following year due to the way they treated my daughter.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They refused to check my AC this spring according to the agreement since it was inspected in April 2024. They insisted on a check-up on the water heater instead. I was told that the only way they would check the AC is if I was to pay them $69 and they would do the water heater flush for free. The cost for either service is the same and since the AC had not been inspected for over a year, it was a little overdo, but they insisted I pay for the AC. So, it doesn't matter what the customer needs nor what is the written agreement, they insist on doing it their way. Stay away from them. They are dishonest con artists. read more

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I had amazing experience using Summers today.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had an emergency flooding situation that occurred from a clogged drain. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We called Summers mid way through the day and we're met with excellent customer service, sending a technician out within a couple hours of calling for help.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our technician Grant, was outstanding. Very informative and polite and let me know everything that he was doing, and the best steps to take to resolve the problem we were having. He was very fast and efficient when it came to unclogging the drain. We are more than pleased with the service that we had and is spot on with cost. We most definitely will be using Summers for any further business in the future! read more

We had flooding in our basement which swamped our furnace so we had no heat during one of the coldest times of the year (Jan 2025). [[HIGHLIGHT]]An appointment with Summers to come out was scheduled that day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We provided two contact numbers where we could be reached. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We received texts at both numbers with a photo of the technician and a message indicating he would be at our house in 10 to 30 minutes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] An hour and a half later he still hadn't shown up so we called. We were told that their records showed that he had been to our house and got a signature which was obviously a lie. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We called again to see if someone else was coming and we were told the technician tried to call both contact number and got no answer. just say no to this company all around - i called for a clean and check on my 21 year old - still operating - unit. zack came out - spent approximately 25 minutes - said my heat exchanger was failing - showed me a couple pictures of "rust" and told me he had to shut off the unit. my heat was working fine, i have no carbon monoxide build up in my home, my furnace was cycling normal - i turned the switch back on and now my furnace doesn't work. it will cycle on - ignite - and then shut down. again - prior to zack coming to my home - furnace was working, heat was fine, cycling was fine. and now it isn't. i would not use this company again if services were free and jesus christ recommended them. read more

Our experience with their technicians has always been excellent, but recently we had them repair a hot water line leak under the slab our home sits on. They did a fine job, but my insurance company (State Farm) requires an itemized invoice from them in order to process my claim. After three phone calls (one from the claims adjuster and two from myself) they are still refusing to provide an itemized invoice, something that would take them a couple of minutes to draw up. I'm looking at a $9 a month renewal of my "subscription" plan and a $14,000 quote for a new AC unit, and they can't bring themselves to do something as simple as writing up an invoice. Seems like a really dumb hill to die on. read more

They were over in less than an hour and had the problem diagnosed right away (bad capacitor). I was very dissatisfied with Summers when they quoted me on a job. They insulted my house and made several rude comments. They even lied about threats that my HVAC system posed. That being said, I wasn't surprised when they quoted me almost three times as much as other companies did for the same project. I do not recommend Summers for any plumbing or HVAC work. read more

We've been using Summers for our routine HVAC for about 2 years. Last summer, we needed to replace our furnace and went with Summers due to the superior customer service and the 24/7 service plan that was sold to us. Fast forward, this summer our AC acted up and again we decided to use Summers who incentivized us by giving us a year of free service plan with the purchase. We've never had to use the emergency service plan until 9/9/18 when one of the hose attached to the hot water heater decided to start spraying water. I called the 24/7 emergency line because I had to shut the main water valve off due to not having a separate shut off to our hot water heater. This left us with no running water. First service call placed at 8:15pm and waited until 10:30pm still no call from technician. I called back again, finally a technician called me back to tell me that he's not coming out because there is nothing he can do. How does he know there is nothing he can do when he wouldn't even come out to look at it?! I continually told him the water heater itself is fine, it's the pipe/hose that's leaking. What good is an emergency service plan when you're refused service?! We ended up having to call Mr. Rooter and the problem was fixed within an hour. No special parts needed, just a small copper section. Then I've called the office number a few time with no answer, left a voicemail asked for a manager to get back to me. Still radio silent. We had a routine furnace check up scheduled last week. Summers called in the time window they were supposed to show up to tell my husband they can't make it because they have a large install job. It's not our responsibility that the company didn't schedule enough techs for installs. My husband took half day off work to be home for the service call!! They were very responsive when they wanted to sell us $7k worth of HVAC products. Now this routine stuff isn't making them money it's not a priority anymore.
