Have been here many times because they're convenient. Ordered bagel and egg, gave her a $20 bill and was given change for a $10. I held the change in my hand and said I had given her a $20 bill. I knew I was right because a purposely wanted to cash the $20 and have some change. At first she picked up the $20 in the cash register but when boss came over to see about the discussion she then switched the $20 for a $10 bill from the same drawer And said this is what I had given her. Summit bagel is probably my favorite bagel shop. Good bagels every time and whenever i'm in the area i'll stop by.

Yummy taylor ham egg and cheese! Basically a very classic bagel place, nothing particularly special about the menu. No seating so definitely plan for that...not a place you would come to for ambiance. When I was ordering I told them multiple times I wanted 2 french toast bagels and they only gave me one...everything was delicious though. read more

Meh. Walked in and was greeted by friendly woman and the smell was great. Ordered sausage egg and cheese on a round roll, salt pepper NO ketchup. Let her know TWICE no ketchup. Also ordered coffee. Got our food quickly and headed out of town... got a few miles from the shop and realized they did no salt and no pepper as added ketchup. Couldn't eat the sandwich because it was layered bead, cheese, ketchup, egg, meat. No way to get the ketchup off. So disappointed. I walked in and ordered a plain bagel, scooped out, with white fish. I pay, tip and off to my car I go. I open the bagel and there's about a teaspoon of white fish on it; perhaps less. I immediately turn a pubs and go back. I order this at least once a week from various bagel shops. I walk in and ask for the manager. The woman points at a gentleman and tells me that he's the owner. I open the bagel and I show him. He looks at me and asks me what did I expect. Again, I know what my order is supposed to look like. I looked at him and slid the bagel across the counter and told him to keep the bagel and my money because I was planning never be back. This place is so bad that I had to review. I started going here when we moved up the street to pick up bagel and lox for the weekends. One time I went, I noticed visible mold growing on a muffin in the display. When I pointed it out to the employee, she rolled her eyes at me before throwing it out. Another time, I got a croissant that must have been a week old- it was like biting into cement. Today, she rang me up and the total was $45 for 6 bagels and 1/2 pound of lox. When I pointed out this was an error, and that the total should have been $30 based on their pricing, the same employee rolled her eyes at me, reluctantly took down the total and then glared at me on my way out. This is the only bagel place in the area that can stand up to the juggernaut of Noah's. Really good bagels--softer and less dense than Noah's--and a great menu of different sandwiches. When I walked in I was ready to rate this place pretty low considering the appearance, but the sandwich I had made up for it. Taylor, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel was pretty giant and very tasty. I'd say if they spruced the place up a bit this would be a great little bagel and sandwich shop, but definitely decent food. Update: After hitting a few other places in the area for breakfast, I'm lowering my rating here - they can definitely do better. I would rate this place a zero but I can't. I'm disgusted with this Business. I went into summit bagel and decided to order me some cheese fries. I waited about 15-20 minutes on them ( they shouldn't have taken this long). After I paid for my food I went on back to work. As soon as I got back to work, I opened my box of cheese fries and see that they didn't fully melt the cheese. It seems like they slapped four piece of cheese on the fries. I've never in my life seen something like this. Normally they will have a plastic bottle with pre melted cheese in it under a heated light at other delis. They seemed like they were in a rush and just hoped the cheese will melt with the heat of the fries.i attached a picture of my fries as soon as I opened them. I will not recommend anyone to eat at this place. On top of the food not being good, they always seems to bring up the prices of the menu every few weeks. Not worth the time and effort going here. The absolute best bagel place around. The staff has always been extremely kind and courteous whenever I have gone. It's a family run business and you can find the owner or his family there every single day. The bagels are a great bang for your buck as they are a large serving. Don't be afraid to ask for a hash brown on your bagel sandwich, it takes it to another level! The line can be long at times but it moves very quickly. Any problems with your order (you know everyone is human and makes mistakes) will become a priority and will be resolved quickly. I cannot say enough good things about them. read more

I ordered a simple bagel with cream cheese and tomato. I got and paid for my order and got in my car and proceeding to open the wrapping to eat my bagel. The bagel was not cut through so when I went to pull the two halves apart, the tomato, etc. came out of both sides with cream cheese all over the place making it to sloppy and unpleasant to eat. I brought the mangled bagel back into the store and they made me a new one. I left the store and unwrapped my bagel with cream cheese and tomato (not a complicated order) only to find NO salt and pepper (which I asked for), a tomato that was pale in color with no taste whatsoever (it's August and we live in NJ - what happened to Jersey tomatoes?) and a bagel too hard to chew! I didn't bother to go back for the third time. Had to move on. Will NEVER go back to this bagel place. read more

Summit bagel, like many bagel places, have been through ups and downs on bagel quality and why it is so hard to rate a place. Consistency is always a juggernaut. And recently this place is UP in my book. I have always liked summit bagel. However a few years ago something changed and their bagels were fluffy and lacking character. I have to report that as of the last few months Summit Bagel is back to providing great bagels. Their coffee is so-so but they have a good selection of drinks and they make a good egg sandwich. The service is always good. The parking has always been a challenge, tight and only a few spots. So, welcome back Summit Bagel. I am still in love with you. read more

I went in on my lunch break to grab a bagel, when I went up to the counter I also brought up an Arnold Palmer which had .99cents ON THE PACKAGING. Anyone who knows Arizona tall cans knows they are only .99 cents.... when the lady behind the counter rang me up she charged me 1.99 for the can... I proceeded to show her that it had .99 cents on it... she then informed me that "since it's cold, its 1.99." Then she told me that the warm ones are .99cents... Now I know that the difference is only a dollar but in my opinion that is extremely ridiculous that I need to pay MORE for my drink that is LABELED .99cents because its COLD. I won't be returning again although it is extremely easy to get to from my job. read more

Being from NY, I was thrilled to find Summit Bagel. The owner worked for many years making bagels in Manhattan and makes the perfect bagel. They are soft, light and tasteful. My family likes whole wheat sesame bagels and as long as I call ahead of time, they make them made to order. If you enjoy your bagels being made fresh the right way, check them out. read more

Summit Bagel makes a SOLID egg and cheese on a bagel breakfast, without a doubt. The bagels are nice and puffy (instead of dry and hard), and the eggs are done well. My only real is seating. There is none. I love to go and enjoy a bagel breakfast while sitting, have an OJ or coffee, and relaxing. You can't do that at Summit Bagel, which is a huge turn off. That won't bug a lot of people, but it does bug me a BIT. It doesn't take away from their quality though, and Summit Bagel is definitely a good spot to swing by and get an am feast. It's become our go-to bagel spot over Manhattan in downtown. read more

Started coming here because of convince, literally across the street from my job, but kept coming because the food was good. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese and specified no salt/pepper/ketchup. Guess what I got? yup - salt/pepper/ketchup. Just spent $9 for french toast only to get to work to find there's no syrup. It;'s like they don't listen to the customer. Rarely do they even write down your order for the cooks. I've given them the benefit of doubt too many times - I'm done. Guys - if you read this, please, please please change how you do business. you are sitting on a gold mine being across the street from a newly populated corporate facility.
