Best bagel sandwich I've ever had. Idk why everyone on here is so quick to leave a negative review

Stopped in for lunch. Got a sandwich and has taken 3 bites when a worker appeared with a bucket and mop stinking of bleach and began to spread the stink and fumes around. It was 1:45, they close at 2:30. This kind of clean up should happen after you close. I will never go back again. If they have this much contempt for customers I will down my money elsewhere! No more lunches for me. No more bagel platters for breakfast for my staff. That's it! read more

Waste of money!! The ($$$$$) bagel had almost no cream cheese, and even less smoked salmon. It cost a fortune for what I received, and the staff gave me the feeling that I was bothering them for placing my order. Plus, parking is a bitch, and the music was annoyingly loud. NOT WORTH IT on so many levels. read more

I'm a resident of Summit but I just discovered this restaurant. I've been ordering the egg, ham and cheese burrito. The staff is always friendly, the wrap is delicious- especially the ham! - and I find the place has a very nice vibe. I'm crossing my fingers that they continue to have a winning combination of good food and friendly service. They're pretty busy and sometimes friendliness can get lost but so far not here. I think if owners keep the staff happy and liking each other this will carry over to their attitude in handling customers. It's also kept very clean. read more

French toast bagels are amazing! Pick up is quite slow though. It takes about 30 minutes to put butter on one bagel in the morning when I order and do a pick up. Need to be more efficient. read more

I stopped coming here in 2020 after they continually got my order wrong about 50% of the time when I visited before my morning commute. At the time, I got so fed up and left a message for customer service, but received no response. Went back in again today to see if things have changed. Ordered a bagel with butter. What I got was a bagel with mayonnaise. This is the last time I'll go there. Worst manhattan bagel and worse, terribly rude staff. I ordered a salmon bagel and I specifically mentioned no cream cheese as I am allergic. I took what they gave and boarded the train only to realize that they have put cream cheese which I cannot eat . I called up several times and explained it and asked for refund. I understand mistakes can happen while preparing food. But hanging up twice on the face of the customer when I genuinely explain the situation and being rude and treating badly - unacceptable. Sorry. I have been ordering from MB for the past 3 years and their service is declining. The gentleman that took my order completely screwed it up. I ordered 2 orders, sesame bagel - toasted - egg white - cheese, and plain bagel - toasted - egg white - cheese - Turkey sausage. They added cream cheese on both ordered. I drive home and was so disappointed. I called them and spoke to the manger and he said he would remake it. When I came in the man who took my order never once apologized and snickered. In addition the man charged me for an additional bagel and if I didn't check the receipt, I would have overpaid. I'm so disappointed! I asked for extra bacon and SPK on my sandwich but instead they gave me one slice of bacon with hot sauce instead of SPK. The cheese was only on one half of the bagel. I love trying different bagel spots twice a month for my weekend bagel treat and this week's bagel was so disappointing. I don't even like hot sauce so I just threw it out and settled for the soggy hash brown that tasted worse than the frozen kind. read more

Pros: The bagels are nice and soft, but not too soft. Cons: 1) The strawberry cream cheese is a bit too sweet. 2) Their pricing sign states that the one dozen bagels includes 2 containers of cream cheese. I was charged for the one dozen of bagels AND 2 containers of cream cheese. I didn't realize until I got to work. Overall, a decent bagel place, just double check your receipts. read more

one of the worst experience I've had at Manhattan bagel today 6/30/23 at around 8am. My mother and I go in to pick up some breakfast before heading into work and the second we go up to the counter to place our order we both immediately get body shamed by the guy taking our order. He's starts with oh so if you are trying to loose weight this ain't the place for y'all . I start to place MY order which was a The original bagel classic and he nods at me I was confused so I said y'all ran out ?? he was like yeah. so My mom go in to place in her order while I look for something else on the this guy was like so what meat do you want on your bagel. So I was like so you guys have it? So i placed my order. when we were done ordering he ask us if it was for here or to go. So I said for here. he laughed at us and said so y'all sitting on the tables or the chairs. I didn't say anything paid for the food. ate my breakfast and don't ever want come back I've never had an issue here I've been going to manhattan bagel since i was in middle school also my friend Anna use to work there and I really never had an issue with the service. Never disappoints. Used to frequent the union location but now since I live in summit I am usually here. I get the same thing at both locations (see Union review) and each time it's consistent. This location brings your food to your table and insists on cleaning for you. Nice perk. **recently been getting cream cheese on a bagel instead of eggs and the bagels are way too tough. I have heard mixed reviews about MBC in general. From "It's a chain so the bagels stink" all the way to "one of the best bagels I ever had". I am going to go in the middle. Good bagels for a chain but didn't try the coffee. I am not happy about their cream cheese selection. All I ask for is that they add Olive CC and this place can go up one star. Gentleman at counter at wharton location is very unprofessional and rude. Put an order in over the phone arrived at location food was not ready. Waited for half an hour after ready time and asked again when my food was going to be ready was told it will be ready when it's ready and to shut my mouth. If you have a peanut allergy, beware of this place! Although they purportedly keep the peanut butter in a separate area, the staff behind the counter to not take any steps to ensure that the work surface and knives are clean. I recently ordered a couple of bagels to go on a weekend morning. When I returned home, I discovered that one of my bagels, which was ordered with cream cheese, had peanut butter smeared all over the outside of the bagel, and there was peanut butter throughout the cream cheese inside of the bagel. I contacted the store manager who did not seem to take the issue seriously and really could have cared less about it. If they're not careful about something so simple as this, what other corners are they cutting with cleanliness? I don't think I'll be back. read more

Stopped here to get a corn muffin toasted with butter, they charge you $1 extra for butter... the waiter who also was the cashier went from the register and grabbed my muffin without washing her hands, that turned me off...
