I started that review in 2017, I never finished it...today I am. I wish I would have known then what I know now. We have hardy plank siding. I didn't know if there was flashing or even paper under it. I asked Gus to give me an estimate and help me figure out if my siding needed any work done to make it more water resistant, if necessary. He could have simply removed one plank to determine if there was paper/flashing. What they did was give me a quote for calking the seams. (approximately $1,300 because it needed "special calking"). I was a new home owner, knew nothing of hardy plank siding, and was relying on his expertise. Today, I am out $1,300. My house still has the TOTALLY UNNECESSARY AND UGLY white vertical calking stripes all the way around my house. There was no blending, smoothing, or finishing. I am going to have to pay any house painter extra to try to remedy this debacle. EVERY contractor I have had come to this house for insulating, house painting, handyman, etc. have all said the same thing, I was taken advantage of and duped. I get to feel that feeling every day while I work to save up enough to try to fix it. I cannot give zero stars but I would if I could. I am doubting if they are even a legitimate business. If you have had business with them in the past, I would strongly suggest you get another opinion or two to make sure they did what they said they would, and more importantly that you even needed what they did in the first place. Not to mention how much you may have paid. This eats at me regularly because there isn't anything I can do about it at this point. And the amount of money I would have to spend to try to get my money back isn't worth it. Boo. These aren't all the photos I could and should take. This is just a sampling of the entire exterior of my house. Just. A. Sampling.

Mitigation of a roof leak after rain/wind storm…read more I woke up the day before my flight to visit family for the holidays and found a puddle on my living room floor. It turned out to be a leak that soaked two walls, and I had to find help fast. Oregon Restoration replied to me immediately while other companies took hours to respond. Their friendly office staff calmly walked me through what to expect in the process and sent help that day. Danny arrived right on time and was friendly, professional, and thorough. He let me look at his instruments as he assessed the extent of the damage, shared pictures with me, explained what they would do and helped me understand next steps. After that as I was traveling, he kept in contact with me to make sure I knew what was happening at home. He also worked with my roommates to help them understand what was happening and arrange work visits. Every person on his team was respectful and helpful, and they checked the progress of the drying process regularly. Danny worked with my insurance adjuster to make sure everything went forward smoothly. I found the team helpful, responsive, and diligent, and I've contracted with Oregon Restoration for the repair portion of this journey as well. Thanks so much Danny! This would have been a nightmare without you.

I'm still working through the final stages of repairs but overall responsiveness to me and insurance reps is excellent. Special thanks to Nick Hook, Alicia Copeland and David Nevill for getting things handled immediately. Greatly appreciated :-)

They do not honor their work warranty. They came out to my house which had a clogged sewer drain…read more I told them clearly where I suspect the clog was. The decided to clear out a different part of the line such that water was barely flowing. Upon having to come out the second time (6 days later) when the house was backed up again, they found where the real issue was - exactly where I said it would be. They didn't have the right camera equipment to diagnose the issue and took the easiest approach to maximize their hourly rate. Their initial receipt said "30 day warranty" on the work. However, they charged full price to come out the second time. $550 for the first time, $750 for the second visit when he *actually* fixed the problem by popping the toilet. They should have either done the job correctly the first time, or honored their work warranty (which included diagnosing where an issue is) and reduced how much the second charge was. Just expect that they will do poor work the first time they come out to get your system in minimum working order just so they can bang you again shortly after. I would hire a different plumber that knows how to do the job correctly.

We are sharing our experience regarding emergency roof mitigation services performed on December…read more19. After discovering an active roof leak, we contacted ServePro after hours. We were clearly told the emergency mitigation service would cost $1,200, and we approved the work based on that representation. ServePro dispatched Legacy Construction & Restoration LLC as their subcontractor. Legacy's representative verbally confirmed multiple times (in person and over the phone) that the total cost would be $1,200 to install a tarp and stop the leak temporarily. However, we were later presented with an invoice of approximately $3,200, which was never authorized or disclosed to us. No revised estimate or change order was provided. This is purely unethical and unprofessional. Additionally, our HOA later informed us that the mitigation work allegedly caused additional roof damage (including cutting into roofing material and improper tarp installation), resulting in a $350 charge assessed to us as homeowners. Despite multiple attempts to contact Legacy directly to resolve this matter, we have not received a response. We are willing to resolve this fairly and have offered payment consistent with the originally agreed amount (minus the HOA charge caused by the mitigation damage). We believe in honoring agreed terms, but we also expect contractors to do the same. We are documenting this experience so other homeowners understand the importance of: * Getting written estimates before work begins * Confirming subcontractor responsibilities * Ensuring change orders are documented * Verifying scope and pricing in writing We remain open to resolving this matter amicably.
