This boggles my mind because to make a diagnosis, the doctor needs to get data from the patient. I get it though. Everyone likes to talk. And doctors like to talk about how much they know. I also notice that a lot of doctors like to "control" the visit. They dictate how the interaction goes. They ask the questions, and the patients must obediently answer. This wasn't the case with Dr. Iyer. He listens to what you have to say. And he seems understanding and kind. Of course, I might be wrong since this was only over 1 visit. I'll update this review if this changes. STATE-OF-THE-ART EQUIPMENT He has a nice X-ray machine that scans your body right away. And his office is very nice. Although this really doesn't say much about his medical expertise, it does show that he's diligent. He's on top of things. SUPPORT STAFF - GLORIA She's got to be the nicest support staff that I've met. Extremely helpful. Doesn't just pass you off to someone else or another office. Really wants to make sure you are taken care of. Unfortunately, my experience with support staff at doctors' offices are very positive. I think most just don't care. The job is just a paycheck. Moreover, they seem to have a chip on their shoulders, and they can be pretty abrasive. I find most make the process so much more difficult and tedious. Gloria won't. The doctor should be careful that another office doesn't poach her.

I'd been scheduled for this scan by my primary care physician during my annual checkup exam, so I didn't see what Yelp had to say about Florham Park beforehand. Boy was I surprised when I looked online and saw all the 1-Stars and testimonials (!!!) Because of the timing, there was no backing out or way for me to schedule somewhere else. So I went in this morning with some trepidation. Fortunately I had a good patient experience overall. For imaging, I would definitely come back to the Florham Park location again (140 Park Ave Building). Pros: ** Easy to drive there off of Columbia Turnpike. It's close to FDU -Florham. ** Nice campus. It's huge with more than ample parking and even covered parking structures for bad weather ** Imaging department is located as soon as you enter the main entrance doors of 140. It will be to your left. ** The waiting room is nice and they had HGTV playing on the TV ** The woman at Registration was polite, friendly, and informative ** The technician who performed my scan was professional, knowledgeable, and patient with explaining to me what would happen (which I really appreciate) ** The facilities once you enter past the registration area, equipment, and rooms looked good to me. There's a hallway with blue flowers painted on the walls, and on the ceiling above the machine there are images of the sky and flowers (so you can focus on those and relax while you are being x-rayed). Cons: ** So far, none... It's too early for the results and billing didn't happen yet. Hopefully the results will be uploaded to the portal in a timely fashion (in contrast to a fellow Yelper's review from last month). I don't know if that's a Summit Health computer system thing or human error though. We'll see what happens. Again, I would definitely come back to the Florham Park location (140 Park Ave) in the future for imaging services.

Three times I went back to the start and was in a loop. I then went to another call where when I finally got to a voicemail I couldn't leave a message because it said the mailbox was full , this is 3:00 in the afternoon. No number to call a supervisor, nothing. I went to the Clifton, NJ location for an MRI and I had my report by the time I got home which takes 15 minutes. This was at the 150 Park Ave location in Florham Park. Do not get MRI here. Horrible service The woman that did the MRI , Evette was excellent. The follow up horrible.

They said I "should've" received a notification text but I received NOTHING. I am in excruciating pain and took my day off all for them to discard me like trash.

Dr. Kenneth J. Kopacz I went to Dr. Kopacz this week for a…read moresecond opinion. This will be the third surgery on my spine and the original doctor wanted to bring me in and do the same thing for a third time. Problem is the L4 L5 keep slipping. And the L4 is clearly very inflamed. Dr Kopacz went over the MRI with me and explained what's happening with my spine. He explained what needs to be done to prevent this from happening again. He was very personable and had a very sweet disposition. He never rushed, he took his time and explained everything to me. Including all the things that can go wrong. This will be a four hour surgery including having to put a cage in my spine BUT to do this he will need a vascular surgeon because they will be going in through the front then turn me over and put the screws in the back. I was most impressed with the amount of time he spent with me. One of the reasons I initially called his office was because of his education and his reviews. People really love him. I was definitely impressed with his knowledge and he explained everything in layman terms not physician terms. He makes sure you understand. I would definitely recommend Dr Kopacz.

A few weeks ago, I had a crushing headache as well as a runny nose and sore throat. Every winter, I…read moretend to get runny noses and sore throats, and every week (pretty much) I get agonizing migraine headaches, so...I figured-- nothing unusual to worry about. The following day was my day off from work and I went to the pharmacy to buy Coricidin pills, which usually help. Not this time. I felt horrible. The next day, I was to return to work. As I was eating my lunch before driving in, it occurred to me that I couldn't taste my food, and for the 1st time I thought "Covid." I have a self-test kit sitting on my bathroom shelf. The expiration date was 2 years ago, and I'm not sure I was using it entirely according to the directions, but it tested positive immediately. A few years ago, in the summer, I got Covid, despite having been vaccinated. My symptoms then were a dry cough and shivers, despite the heat. I went to a nearby pharmacy, paid $60 to get immediate test results, and a sheet of paper for my boss attesting to the fact that I had Covid. I had to stay out of work for 5 days from the onset of the symptoms. This time, test results from a pharmacy weren't enough. I had to go to my Dr. and get a letter from his office stating when I could return to work. Several years ago, when I called my Dr. to get tested that initial time, I was told they weren't doing Covid testing (and, just for the record; I like my Dr., although I don't like the maddening bureaucracy that medicine in America has become). So, I was anticipating an excruciating psychic ordeal in trying to fulfill that new job requirement on top of the physical one I was already enduring. Surprisingly, I was told I could come in that same afternoon. My Dr.'s main office is in Stirling (10 minutes from where I live) but he also has another office in Florham Park. I would have to come to the Florham Park location in an office complex, I would have to see a nurse practitioner, and I would have to wear a mask. None of this was a problem. The location was easily located (directly off of Columbia Turnpike), and parking spaces were plentiful. It would appear there are many Dr.'s with offices at this complex. I signed in after insurance was verified and told to wait. Co-pay was minimal, although they no longer accept cash. I had to use the bathroom, which was relatively clean. I didn't have to wait long before the nurse practitioner called me into an examination room. My oxygen level was fairly high, and I had minimal congestion in the lungs. I mentioned that I had lost my taste (which kind of freaked me out-- as I get older, and Death starts knitting its shroud up around me, the pleasures I once enjoyed are more and more forbidden to me, and God forbid I lose the capacity to taste and smell food! My brother recently told me the story of a man who had lost his sense of smell and taste and ended up committing suicide when it didn't return). Anxiously, I asked the NP about this (the loss of taste, not suicide), and she said in the majority of cases, the senses of taste and smell return. It was too late for me to take Paxlovid and I wasn't given any specific dietary, medicinal or other regimen that might make me feel better. It was OK; after a lifetime of migraines, I'm used to "toughing it out" when it comes to sickness and physical maladies. The NP seemed ready to dismiss me without actually doing the official test for Covid (I didn't regard the self-test as in any way foolproof) and she complied at my urging to perform it with seeming reluctance (at least that was my perception), rubbing around my nastily and nauseatingly congested nostrils with a swab. I had some sympathy for her; I wouldn't want to be doing it either. Then again, I'm not a Dr. or a NP. The next day, I got a phone call telling me I officially had Covid. No word on whether my sense of smell and taste would return. In fairness to them--- who the hell knows? A day or so later, I was driving behind a truck blowing out noxious exhaust fumes, and I cried out in joy, "Thank God! I can smell again!" It was seriously a great relief. After all, if I can't taste, how could I ever write another restaurant review on Yelp? "The food I had in the high-end steakhouse was as tasteless as the faux-pizza they served at Domino's." I mean...how many cemeteries can I realistically review? Overall, I'm satisfied with my visit. I got in quickly, left confident in the diagnosis and satisfied with the care I received despite some minor speed bumps, and I would recommend them. (When I started getting vaccinated at the start of Covid, it was every 6 months before you got another one. Then it became a year between vaccinations, and I figured Covid wasn't quite as serious anymore and I stopped getting them. Bad move. People can still die from Covid. The thought of losing my sense of taste and smell permanently terrifies me. And...oh, yeah...dying would suck too.)

I felt totally positive about the care I received from Drew and staff. This year I returned at my orthopedist's suggestion to try to resolve a left shoulder issue. Since there was a tear, the PT didn't resolved the issue, so surgery was required. Following my left shoulder surgery, I returned to Sports Care to receive the same wonderful, professional, engaging, and supportive care I needed.
