I called AAA Water Systems to get a quote for a water softener installation. Virginia answered and…read moreasked some basic preliminary questions, which was fine. But then she kept insisting that my wife had to be present during the consultation because it was "company policy." I've dealt with plenty of home service companies before and have never once heard of a requirement like that. I explained that I would be the one paying for and managing the project, but she continued to push the point that my wife needed to be there. At that point, I politely asked to cancel the appointment and ended the call. A few minutes later she called me back saying they could make an exception, but by then the whole interaction had already rubbed me the wrong way. It was a very strange and uncomfortable experience for something that should have been a simple quote. I decided not to move forward with them. Would not recommend.
