What a great difference our new water softening system has made in our home for the way our water feels. We are excited to no longer have the horrible scale build up on our appliances and have noticed we need radically less soap in the shower. Additonally, we are really enjoying the reverse osmosis system under the counter as well to make sure we have safe drinking water for the family. Talked with multiple companies about installing a water softener system and ultimately went with PureFlo. Paul came over and was able to find a solution on where to connect the drain line which was somewhat of a problem with the other companies. Colby was the one to do the install and he's a master at his craft. He ran into a couple hiccups that he's was able to problem solve on the fly and explained everything he planned to do in a way that I could understand. After confirming I was good with his plans he finished the job. He even went to the store to fix something under the sink from a previous plumbers work. It's been about 2 months now and we couldn't be happier. We immediately noticed a difference after taking showers. My wife said her hair feels healthier and our skin is way less dry. No more water stains on our dishes or shower walls. Having the reverse osmosis water on tap is a game changer. It's been a few years now that I have had my water purification system so this is a great time to write an updated review. Initially we were having issues with a white buildup on all of our faucets and even getting rings in the toilets. Yuck! After discovering that Discovery Bay oddly has some of the worst water around I started looking into whole home water purification systems. Based solely on their reviews I called them and ordered a system. The owner Justin came out himself to do the install. He was very knowledgeable about the systems and water quality in general. We opted for the kind of system that uses salt in it. Ever since then the faucets never have buildup on them anymore. My water tastes amazing and there are no more rings in the toilets. They come out yearly to service the system and the technicians are very nice and professional. Now that it has been two years with this system I can honestly say it is a great system that works. No real problems and great friendly service. Tip: Use the Potassium Chloride pellets in your system not the sodium chloride ones. I know it is more expensive but it is better for you and your plants. You may notice a dip in the health of your plants if you use the sodium pellets. read more

When I called Justin answered the phone and gave me a quick response and total amount for the under the sink cartridge replacement including labor. When I added that we have water softener, the price was still the same - $165. But a few days before the scheduled service, I got a call from him and even messaged me, he sent his apologies for the confusion back in 2020. He reads all the review here on yelp, and strives for 5 stars. He's quick to correct, improves the service for his company. We got our filter replaced and water softener back-flushed. As per Jonathan the technician, we didn't need the RO membrane to be replaced since it still has 95% and still looking at 2 more years. He said in our area, expected life of the membrane is 4 yrs not 2 yrs per original advice upon installation from the other tech. Living in the Central Valley, you need a water system to clean out the agricultural chemicals in the water. The house was primed for a water processing system and was instructed by the builder to install a system. After some research, I decided against purchasing a system online and hire a plumber because I dunno anything about water systems and found PureFlo with excellent reviews. After completing a request for a quote on a Sunday, Dennis called me immediately to schedule a visit. His schedule is fairly flexible. He came and tested the water and showed the chlorine level and the alarming EWG database data - 20 contaminants exceeding EWG guidelines including arsenic and other stuff from the Erin Brockovich PG&E lawsuit. Frightening stuff. There was at least a 2-week wait for an installation appointment. Luckily with an interior hookup, they were able to squeeze me in when there's a rainstorm (exterior installs are postponed). I had a processing tank and water filtration system installed. It is pricey but will save in the long run on maintenance cost since the purification system only needs annual filter replacement. I've been relying on Zero Water filters in the past. It was pricey and a painfully slow to filter. There is financing available with a credit approval. The TDS reading with the filter was 11. I forget the tap reading prior to the install but you can feel a gross film on your skin. Will update once I test it out. A PureFlo sign was added to the curbside strip of garden. To my surprise, Dennis called me a few weeks later informing me that I got a referral credit of $100 because my neighbor saw my sign and bought a system. A few weeks later, Dennis appeared at my door with a check! To be honest, I was skeptical if the referral bonus was happening or not but the company followed through. I did encounter an error message in the digital read out on the tank so I called the office, and they were able to troubleshoot with me and walk me through fixing it. If you're curious about your water quality, check with EWG Database for your tap water quality. read more

After my experience in 2018 with Justin the owner of pureflo on which I wrote a review back then. It was time for me to update my softener and Reverse Osmosis System in my home. When the time came I contacted Justin and was glad he was still in business given the success rate of small businesses surviving in this age is very low. Got in contact with initially with Adrienne for a service request. Adrienne set me up with Tye who was very knowledgeable and as always honest. Tye asked for a photo of my system and then recommended to just do a full service rather than replacement as the systems currently available are the same basic technology as I had in my home. However, I told him that with given skin condition I have I prefer a better system that can remove chlorine and magnesium better than what I have. Tye or Justin didn't try to sell me a new system which was good. This took me back to Justin and Justin recommended a separate Chlorine media filter cartridge outside the softener system and in that space in the softener to fill with more resin and carbon block. I went with that recommendation and had installed a water softener, Chlorine removal cartridge, and RO system. The softener is manufactured by Pureflo here in USA out of Los Angeles (see pics). Anthony arrived in time on the day of installation and did an amazing job. He took the time to design the system arrangement so it was compact and didn't take too much space in Garage. This costed them extra copper (see pics) pipe and labor but he didn't hesitate to do what was right for me. Anthony did a thorough job and left the spot the same way as it was, nice and clean. The RO System I went with is made by Puronics and is a 4 stage system. The total time it took was about 3.5 hours. Pureflo has installed softener systems and couple of my neighbors homes in last 2 years and the price they all got was the same as mine no need for any negotiation. Also, they do provide annual filter replacement for both softener and RO system at $165 which is awesome. read more

I would like to send a five star review for this company. I was in a pinch for a tankless water heater , when suddenly it went out and my tenant had no hot water. This review is almost a year late. The thing I really like about Justin and PureFlo is there wasn't a pushy sales pitch. He took the time on the phone to explain the different water softener options to me. He sells the exact same water softeners as Puronics, but his pricing is much better. Ty is Justin's employee and he came early to do the install. Justin had mentioned they would provide the 1st bag of salt free to get us started. Ty didn't have a bag so he drove to Lowe's down the street to get a bag. :) That was a nice gesture. Back in October, I didn't want to install the RO faucet and just wanted to use the fridge.
