It seems like a huge task, but I promise it's real. With the quaint buildings of Park City Main standing guard over the narrow strip of asphalt, table after table is set up with immaculate attention to details and sometimes over-the-top decor for this once-a-year dining event. Even some catering companies get in on the action, and you have to see it to believe it. It's packed with very beautiful table settings and a veritable who's who in PC and SLC. The air is warm, the sun is setting, and the drinks and fancy food flows. Here's the low down: you need to book way in advance, as it always sells out. You can go to the main website, but look for a list of participating restaurants and caterers, as you'll have to select one and book with them directly. I was invited along as a guest, but I've watched this each year and seen that ticket prices now range from the mid $100s per plate, up to $250+ per plate, so it's not for the faint of heart. But you have to do it, at least once. It seems like it's almost competitive--each restaurant seems to try to outdo the others with live flowers, fancy table settings, and of course incredible food. My best advice is to think of it as a dining experience, rather than a meal. Baked into the architecture of putting on such an event, you're going to have trouble serving up a bunch of meals to people sitting outside; it's really tough kitchen choreography. However, you should expect to have great food. I absolutely adore Park City Main Street, and to see it dressed up like this is wonderful. I would love to come back in the right company for more Park City Main adventures. In fact, I'm headed up again tomorrow for a Saturday tradition that began last year on a Saturday in July. I would go for lunch, but I'm headed back to a restaurant I love and they're only open for dinner, so I'm taking myself out to dinner there again. It won't be a huge production like Savor the Summit, but I'd like to make both the small lunch/dinner, and the big Main Street bonanza a tradition.

On July 4th I got to attend the Oakley Rodeo! This was so much fun! My family goes every year and…read morethey didn't think it would happen this year cause of COVID-19. What they did this year is everyone bought tickets and they did a lottery system to see who could possibly attend. They only allowed about 1,500 people into the venue and they normally allow around 5,000 people. This was great and made it pretty easy to social distance from the crowds. They also provided every person a bandanna face covering to wear while at the rodeo which was super nice touch! I also noticed tons of cleaning going on during the rodeo by staff members. They were wiping down hand rails and high touch points to make it even safer for guests. Also, upon entrance every person had their temperature taken to make sure they didn't have a fever. This Rodeo did it right and make sure everyone had a safe and enjoyable time! Once inside the rodeo they had several food trucks serving some delicious eats. My family took advantage of the bbq food truck to get burgers and ribs and the Hot dog food truck to get nachos and hot dogs! The food was a little expensive, but it was well worth it. I loved the rodeo. But there are a few sports that happen that really look painful to the animal. It may not be painful, but it sure looked that way. The Cows run out and the horse follows them and a guy rope ties their neck hoping they fall over, but if they don't flips them on the side and ties their feat. I mean kinda crazy, but I understand this is what was done in the West so people could get their cattle back. Just an interesting sport. Overall though all the other competitions were pretty cool. My favorite was the bull riding! It was so much fun and the bulls seemed crazy tough! Overall I am glad I got to go to the Oakley Rodeo. I am glad they had fireworks after the rodeo and we got to celebrate the 4th of July with family and friends in a fun safe setting. I would highly recommend this!

Even if you don't drink, this is a fun event for everyone, including kids! There are a lot of activities to do including roaming around shops, climbing a ropes course, riding the alpine slides, listening to live music, and eating German food. I tried the uber pretzel (Uber is the right word) and the German Chocolate Cake. Both were delicious! The beer experience here is also different, if you want to drink, you have to purchase a glass and the beer (2 different prices) and each time you refill your beer, you only pay the beer cost. They had 3 different sizes, 34oz (large stein), 22oz (smaller stein) and 16oz (glass beer can). Admission is free to get in and they are open between August to mid- October. Parking is $15 per car or you can reserve a space ok their free shuttle with pick up from the park and ride. Great experience overall and can't wait to go back!

It was delicious and was very light and dry. Not sweet at all. He said it's a new place and they are close by in Kamas. So we took the beautiful 13 mile drive and spotted the little white sign that said Dendric Estate Bottle Shop. We swung in and spoke with the guys who seemed surprised but happy to see us. Turns out they are just starting out but they are preparing for growth. They just planted a bunch of trees with numerous varietals. We picked up a 4 pack for the road and hope they grow and other people get to try the delicious cider which tastes more like a great prosecco. Hope to visit again someday and see their progress. Stop by and support a local business. It will be 5 stars when they have a larger selection in the Bottle Shop and get the apples on their new trees. Put it in your GPS or you'll likely miss the sign.

I bought some pictures here a while ago and they have a wonderful ability to stay fresh looking even after many years. Mangelsen's photos are a great way to add timeless color to any room. They are expensive though, expect to spend a few thousand dollars for some of the larger ones. Smaller pictures are more reasonably priced.
