This was a really cute store, no kidding. It's in Surprise, yes, it's far, but it's definitely worth the drive to just come look at their art works and enjoy a cold one. They have games for you to play on and tables with outlet to let you work while you play. The area is still in developing state but it will definitely worth your time to check them out. read more

I love the shaved snow here! It's perfectly soft and creamy. I love the green tea flavor! The boba here is also great! The portions are very big so it's a good value for the cost. I wish they were opened on Tuesdays, but that's my only complaint. The staff has always been friendly and attentive and the store itself is cute and clean! One if the best boba spots in town. We drive here even when it's much farther than other boba places near us. Service has always been awesome, and the menu is pretty extensive, lots of good stuff to order. Their rewards program is pretty neat also. I get texted coupons and deals often. A small but trendy, clean, and relaxing place. It was nicely decorated with special touches and the menu board was complete with pictures and good descriptions of their products. Tried the taro boba, tuxedo chocolate shaved ice cream, and macha madness. All are very delicious. You can really taste each flavor and the items were light and not over bearingly sweet. You can tell their attention to detail. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and took the time to serve you well. Very pleased that they opened here. Drinks are way too sweet for my taste. The Purple Rain one gives me a huge headache and sugar rush. The coconut smoothie is the only decent one I have tried. The snow is very bland and the toppings that come with it is lacking in amount. read more

I wanted to like this place so much. After having "snoh" in Phoenix I was excited to finally have a place on the west side. The place itself is adorable and well decorated. The service wasn't the best, everyone seemed nice except for the cashier who was helping us. We ordered two different snows and the thing that bothered me the most is that the snow is not customizable like it is at "snoh". They have different flavors of snow but the toppings are pre-picked for you and the cashier told me I couldn't make changes to it. I just found it strange because I've never been to a place that hasn't allowed you to pick your own flavor and toppings, and I've tried plenty of places on the east side. The snow itself is a lot more frozen than I'm used to. It's not as fluffy and light and just seemed over frozen. We were biting down on frozen chunks and it felt more like I was eating shaved ice. They give you the smallest amount of toppings so after a couple of bites I was left with plain, crunchy snow and didn't even want to finish the rest. I gave them two stars because I feel like if they improve their menu, snow and customer service they could be a really great spot on this side of town. I don't think I will return anytime soon though and will just have to make the longer drive to Phoenix for now. read more

Ok so if you do not know what sumo snow the menu can be overwhelming. But if you ask the folks working there about it they will help you without a problem. There are even tastes of certain teas. The atmosphere was friendly and a place you could hang out for a while. They have board games available. I do wish they were open for my drive to work in the morning so I could get a drink then but I am not sure how many people would be interested. I have tried their tea, snow and Thai tea. Also got the strawberry layered match which was missing the strawberries and was so-so. It was very busy and service a bit slow keeping in mind they just opened. Prices were good. However, I ordered an Ube Snow and asked to exchange the red bean for boba but it wasn't an option and got charged for the boba as an additional topping. I felt kinda unfair and I hope an option for exchanging toppings or build your own plate will be available soon. Love the shaved snow! The owners use quality teas and quality ingredients in all the items they make. The fruit teas (there are several combinations to choose from) contain pieces of real fruit--so good on a hot summer day! There is always an emphasis on freshness at Sumo Snow. Also delicious are the different boba, especially the "pearl" boba, which is clear and has a citrusy taste.
