So last night 15 minutes before this location was to close my wife decided to grab a couple of teas and for our luck a very rude employee there (McKayla) treated my wife like a stranger not a customer and i believe it was because she either hates working there or just hates customers going there period. I would like to speak to a manager regarding her attitude and the way she took care of our our order. Lastly I would like to add that when my wife asked for the bathroom code this employee stated very rude that they would be closing in 2 minutes when in fact it was 8:55 pm 5 minutes before closing and that was to me very bad customer service. Since we had such a good experience our first time, we decided to stop by again. We weren't feeling any milky drinks or coffee, so we went with these new energy drinks. I was expecting them to be like red-bulls with flavored syrups, kind of like the dutch rebels but it wasn't. They were actually very good, the green one was orange with some other flavor but the orange flavor wasn't too overpowering, the drinks are on the sweeter side though. The blue one has little shark gummies and it was lychee with strawberry, you could definitely taste the strawberry. I actually enjoyed the drink, especially with the Arizona heat, it was refreshing and had lots of ice. As soon as we walked in, the workers greeted us and gave us some time to decide what we wanted. They were very friendly and their service was quick. Like always, the place was very clean and well maintained, I definitely prefer this location over the Mesa one. read more

Tastea is one of my favorite boba spots in the valley, and their 32 oz offering is one of the many reasons. Every time I visit, I order a 32 oz drink for myself and my partner. I like to add two scoops of honey boba because we really love our honey boba! Usually the boba at Tastea is exceptional, but my last few visits have been a little disappointing. It's not the texture that is off with the boba, but rather the flavor. On my second last visit I figured that tasteless boba might be attributed to arriving at open. I tried to remedy the problem over this last weekend by arriving 45 minutes after open, giving the boba plenty of time to "marinate" and have the taste I have been craving. Yesterday was another disappointment regarding my boba experience. From the texture it was clear the boba had been made likely at open, but there was absolutely no taste again. Unfortunately I have to say that this boba is anything but "honey" boba. The boba had absolutely no flavor and lacked any sweetness. My only assumption at this point is that the boba is not longer being flavored in spite of being called "honey boba". I typically opt for medium or light sweetness in my drinks as the boba is usually plenty sweet and I don't want to overpower the honey taste. While the drink was good and the service was excellent, the boba was a huge disappointment. I truly hope someone at the store reviews the boba making process and remedies the situation because the boba is a HUGE part of what makes these drinks something special. read more

Since I was in the hood and they have online order = perfectly. I placed the online order and GPS Tastea. They have plenty of parking and easy to find. I got the KRYPTEANITE me! Matcha smoothie (blended ceremonial grade matcha). The app said it will be ready in 15min. I got here around that time, but when I walked in I see at least 4 others waiting for their pick up. And more people in the store trying to order. I walked around took some pics and still had to wait for another 10mins pasted the estimated time. They called me and the Krypteanite me was GOOD! And cooled my off on a HOT day. The second time I went I got the regular Matcha Milk Tea and is was very good as well. Staff friendliness is a hit or miss, I guess it depends on busy they are. The only reason why I am not leaving a one star review is because I like getting my tea from this place since it is very close to my workplace. I came in 10 minutes before closing time and I admit it was close to closing time but I decided to treat myself after a long day from work and as soon as I came in through the doors, the young lady rolled her eyes and I could tell she was annoyed and irritated by me coming in 10 minutes before closing time. She did not greet me just straight said what can we get for you as soon as I reached the register I felt very rushed to order and they made my drink within two minutes so I was out of there before 9:55 PM, she set my drink down and threw the straw on the counter, turned away without a work not even a thank you or have a good night, nothing just turned around and asked the young man if she could leave already. The bright and welcoming atmosphere immediately drew us in, and their extensive menu made it hard to choose just one drink! I went with a Thai milk tea with boba, and it did not disappoint. The tea was rich and flavorful, with just the right balance of sweetness, and the boba was perfectly chewy and fresh. Something i noticed about the boba was that it was a green color, not your normal dark brown/blackish color. The green color did not change the flavor. It's clear they take pride in their quality, which is a must for any boba lover. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, happily answering questions and guiding me through the menu. Really disappointed with my experience here. I love getting my teas from here and never had a problem but today was an exception. When I went to pay, the card machine automatically added a tip without me selecting anything. I was asked to sign, but I never chose to leave a tip. I hadn't noticed until after signing and got charged extra without my consent. When I brought it up to the cashier, he tried to play it off by saying "oh, it was just a signature." But when I got my receipt, sure enough, it showed the tip had been added. That felt dishonest and very upsetting. Customers should always have the choice to decide if they want to tip, not be tricked into it. This left me with a very negative impression, and I hope management fixes this issue immediately. read more

Tastea is my favorite boba shop in the area!!! It was recommended by a friend when visiting in town, and I can see why it's so popular. There are so many tastea items on the menu, and I haven't had a drink that I didn't like. Some of my favorites are the strawberry milk and muddy melon. I love that they have a big variety of jellies, boba, and puddings to choose from to add to your drinks. Their boba is always cooked perfectly with a great chewy consistency. I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes for my order to be prepared, and the staff are so friendly! I highly recommend stopping by. They recently opened up a second location near the colleges which is a great spot to check out if you are visiting the campuses or needing somewhere to study. It's safe to say that not only people are moving to Arizona, but businesses as well. My coworker recommended this place since it's her go-to for boba. At first, I was trying to figure out why this place was so different from all the other smoothie bars I've been to. But then it hit me! Their main focus is "tea" here, hence the name of course. So far, I've tried the Peach Me Sweet and BooTea Shaker (with boba, of course) since those offered real fruit and were very refreshing during these hot months. We finally tried this place which we were very familiar with since there were a few in San Jose, CA. The parking lot was big and parking wasn't an issue. There were a couple of people inside but it wasn't busy. It was also a hot day so we decided to order the 20oz Watermelon Heaven ($4.95), a 20oz Lychee Peachee ($4.95) with boba ($0.60), a 20oz Classic Milk Tea ($4.95), and a 20oz Peach Me Sweetea ($4.95). Our drinks were done within minutes and it was pretty fast. The Watermelon Heaven tasted good, the Lychee Peachee was delicious, the Classic Milk Tea was okay, and the Peach Me Sweetea was also good. Honestly, you can't go wrong with any of these choices. I believe we had all full sweetness for everything so it wasn't too sweet for us.
