3.5/5 stars. Fusion of Japanese street eats and nabe but to me it was like big way hot pot with yakitori and sushi options.
Yakitori - highlight of my meal. My favorites are the Angus marbled beef, lemongrass pork shoulder, crispy chicken skin, cumin lamb. Delicious, nicely grilled and good presentation.
Mini donburi - I really liked the crawfish donburi but it was a lot smaller than I had imagined! Wish it was a bit bigger with some more rice!
Nabe - pretty much like the hot pot restaurants where you go up to pick what you want, pick a broth and they charge you by weight. Their price is a bit steep at $4.20 per 100g. Selection not super impressive compared to the other established chains. Worse of all, broth wasn't impressive. Picked tomyum and it has just lacking the kick! Also I feel like they overcooked the bowl, and meats were clumped together.
They have a self-served fruit and sauce bar. Though I do wish they filled up the fruits a bit more frequently.
Overall, the vibe is nice, interior is impressive and feels luxurious, service was good. Though I still don't think those things rationalized their nabe rate. I would come back but probably just if I wanted yakitoris. I'd go elsewhere for the hot pot as other places do it better. read more
