Peter and Adrian are great. They are amazing and skilled at what they do and, a rarity in the world of contractors, Peter, the owner, communicates well and often and is responsive. We had a very complex central heat and air installation in an old house where there wasnt one prior, no crawl space on half the house, and a flat roof that required custom fabricated ducting. It was BIG job. A lot of companies wouldn't even call us back when they heard what we needed. So, we got only two bids. A large company that starts with B and rhymes with yellows, and sun air. Sun Air's bid was less, but that wasnt where the value was. It was in being listened to and actually giving us what we wanted (the other company spent hours telling us what they wanted us to have--just because it was easier). We got so much more value in equipment and installation for a lower price than we could have otherwise. Peter gave us exactly what we asked for, and then went beyond that. At every turn he would do something extra, from hauling away trash that wasnt his, to adding something that would just make things easier or look better. The benefits of having an owner on-site every day are immeasurable. You know that the work is done right by someone who has his HVAC and general contractors licenses. He was creative in solving the inevitable problems that pop up on an old house. We appreciate the time and attention they poured into our new central heat/air. And, always a good sign, our dog was smitten with Peter--she still looks out the window hoping she will see him there. Great service. Noticed a burning smell when trying to fire up my furnace and although it was heating, the blower motor would not start up. Most service companies had booked out for weeks in advance, but these guys called back in an hour and were here to service the unit an hour after that. He is honest, efficient, a hard worker, and installed my central AC in a timely manner! He gave me options, to personally fit my needs and my budget. I had an issue come up when he was installing my AC in that when he took out my furnace he showed me how it was starting to corrode. He looked up my model number and could tell me exactly how old it was and gave me 2 options. He could put the furnace back in, but went to the "furnace" store, lol, and quoted me a price. He didn't pressure me one way or the other and I so appreciated that. I went with the option I could afford. To me, that's a fair and honest company. My furnace was initially installed in a "crazy" way and they knew exactly how to fix the problem and explained that process as well! A+ Now, Jenelle, She is also amazing. It was a mystery; the furnace would work sometimes but was increasingly blowing cold air in the morning, and presented error code 02 - Max retries reached. Called six or eight furnace services who were all booked before finding Sun Air. Sun Air said they could fit me in that afternoon. They arrived on time and went right to work. After testing several possibilities Peter concluded flame sharing was at fault and they removed and cleaned the burner headers. VIOLA! Professional, knowledgeable, and really nice guys. We recently purchased a home in the Santa Cruz Mountains and quickly realized we wanted heating and air conditioning. We received a recommendation to contact Sun Air about adding heat pumps to replace our existing heating/air conditioning system which wasn't working very well. Peter responded quickly to our call and explained why it would be better and cheaper to upgrade our existing system rather than using heat pumps. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship were beautiful to watch and the results are nothing short of magnificent. Our heater went out in the evening, of course after hours. We contacted the company we purchased and had our furnace installed from, and they were of NO help. In fact, they said they couldn't get out to fix it for almost a week out (Thanks a lot to The Furnace Room!) By the way, our furnace is only two years old and under warranty. However, we were told by The Furnace Room, that our warranty had to be processed through them to qualify for the repairs to be paid for under that warranty. After several hours without heat and freezing in our home, I decided to Google after-hours furnace repairs. Because at that point, I didn't care what it cost and was willing to pay out of pocket just to have heat again! The site led me to Yelp which listed several companies that apparently offered after hour services. However, were only two companies who truly advertised after hours repairs. One company, Sun Air/heating, that stood out with stellar reviews, was literally just a few miles from my home. And the reviews stated usually less than a 20-minute turnaround response from inquiry. So, I contacted Sun Air to see if they could fix my furnace sooner than a week out. Peter, the owner of Sun Air, responded to my text within minutes. He continued dialogue with me to try and diagnose via text and pictures of my furnace. He then told me he could come fix the furnace first thing the next morning. I was so appreciative! Peter showed up 15 minutes early the next morning and had our heater fixed in no time! He was reliable, professional, and provided us with outstanding help!
